Awful experience. We bought a base and two car seats. The seat jammed into the base but wasn't fully locked-in. We took it back to the store we bought it from to be told Maxi-Cosi's policy is return & repair. I don't think most parents would want a repaired car seat, even by the manufacturer. But the most terrible aspect was the response by the Maxi-Cosi customer service team. To call it robotic would be an understatement. Truly awful. The store eventually provided a loan seat. MC on the other hand basically said not our problem until we can prove you haven't broken it.

We bought a maxi cosi car seat and it is so easy to use and fit so we bought another one for my wife's car (even though it is easy to move, it was becoming a pain to keep switching between the cars!).

My wife had a sportier car with slightly bucket seats and so the seat wasn't quite compatible with the maxi cosi chair so we requested to send it back. No questions asked, customer service were fantastic and agreed to refund, arranged the DPD returns, all we had to do was take the seat to DPD.

I really can't fault them as the onus should be on us to make sure the seat is suitable. Having had a great experience with the first one we didn't even think about it so entirely our issue, but maxi cosi were great throughout and refunded immediately. There seems to be some feedback where others weren't as impressed but I can only go on our experience and I can highly recommend them as a company for their service and products.

Own both the Pebble (0 to approx 15 months) and Pearl (1yrs plus) car seats, with the family fix base. Very easy to install, and the safety lights are reassuring that the seat and baby are correctly in place. Adjusting the straps is very easy, especially with a wriggling toddler. The recline on the Pearl seat is very easily operated. The Pebble seat is lighter than other makes, so carrying the baby to the car is less back breaking ! Very happy with these products.

Arrange to have my isofix familyfix base collected for repair. After dpd taken my parcel it has not been lost. Can’t get any information from dorel U.K. (manufacturers) and don’t give you any update on what’s happening. Worst service Iv ever had! Would recommended going to another retailer 100%. Never again!

Just had a manager call - the issue will be resolved by Monday midday. This answer is perfect as I know something will be done. Would advise to speak with a manager as other people shouldn’t be working in customer service!! Still not 100% but it was a response I agree with.

Nice products but too many incompatibilities caused by constant upgrades in the hunt for profit. We bought a maxicosi family fix base, compatible with the Pebble and Pearl car seat. After upgrading from the Pebble to the Pearl (since both apparently fit the base) we discovered that the brand new Pearl we purchased doesn't actually for the Family Fix (as stated) because the latest Pearl was actually called the 'Pearl iSize' (which is incompatible). This is just too confusing for the average consumer (bordering misleading to force consumers to buy the latest isize base no doubt), and was not made clear by the retailer (John Lewis, who will shortly also be receiving a 1 star review). Now we have to waste time returning and repurchasing the correct seat. Maxicosi - stop being greedy and concentrate on perfecting your existing products instead of forcing consumers great confusion and inconvenience with unnecessary upgrades and requirements to spend more on compatibility !!

Bought a Quinny Yezz (part of the Dorel/Maxi cosi group) and have had numerous problems including the frame snapping, screws coming undone and a wheel coming off. Customer services haven’t been helpful, and don’t seem concerned of the potential dangers, and now am left with a unusable buggy. Will avoid the Dorel group until they can sort out there customer service department.

Bought a Maxi-Cosi car seat (expensive) together with pram and carrycot few months ago in John Lewis Oxford street. It’s now broken as faulty and neither John Lewis neither Maxi Cosi want to replace the item.
Proof of purchase and photos of the damaged item provided.
It’s very disappointing that such reputable companies did let me down on a such important item for the safety of my baby!
I now need to buy another car seat for my baby...
Terrible service!!!
