I would stay away from Maxi-Cosi products, especially their strollers. I can say that I did not expect a brand with medium-to-premium pretensions to fail this quickly.
I bought a Zelia 3 and after just 1 year and a few months, among other things, the major issue is with the front wheels.
Why did they fail? In short: poor design choices and weak materials.
More specifically, the bearing at the front wheel axle - which, of course, is made of plastic - is not only made from a weak material, but it also lacks proper metal reinforcement all the way through. Over time, it develops play, and the axle effectively starts "eating away" at the bearing, causing the wheel to become increasingly loose until it eventually starts rubbing against the fork.
On top of that, the wheel is not secured with an allen bolt, screw, or any other system that would allow easy disassembly, but instead is riveted in place. Basically, you cannot take it apart and even attempt a repair. In my country, replacement wheels are not available for purchase, and ordering them from abroad ends up costing a lot.
Their answer: "We are sorry we do not have a franchise partner with stock that you can purchase directly from and that you will need to ship to an alternative address" - Customer support at its finest. With this kind of answer, I advise everybody to stay away from them!
Worst customer service ever!
I bought a car seat and they basically forgot to send me. After 2 weeks, I followed up with them and told them I wanted to cancel my order as I waited too long. They said my item was ready to despatch so they were not able to cancel it. Next day they decided to send the car seat. When I received the package, it was a totally different car seat than I ordered! I tried to reach out to them a couple of times but I managed only once which is the one that they told they couldn't cancel my order. Even though they sell a good-quality product, their service is awful so I definitely recommend other people to buy maxi-cosi products from different stores like john lewis.
See pro baby monitor broke within a year of ownership
Was bought a see pro baby monitor for my baby a year ago (after our first one broke) and this one has already broke. The monitor screen will not charge or hold charge. I contacted customer service having not got proof of purchase as it was gifted to me and they said that there is nothing they can do without this, so it leaves me with an expensive monitor that is useless and doesn’t work. I would have thought the customer service would have been better to resolve an issue or support when something breaks within a year of owning it. Sadly, I won’t be buying from them again, and will purchase a baby monitor from a different brand

Appalling company, maxi cosi failed to deliver my order and issue a refund. I had to open a paypal case to receive a refund.

I ordered a travel system that was meant to be delivered in three to five working days. I was given assurances on phone that it would be. It never arrived. when contacted we were told DPD lost their package and that they would send out a replacement immediately to be delivered in two working days. I was meant to get a confirmation email and never received it. I called the next day only to be told that it hadnt left/ been processed at facility. They made a third attempt to deliver but failed. My deadline expired, i asked for an order cancellation and was given one without a confirmation via email. I had to call again the next day for an email detailing confirmation. I was assured I would have a refund in 10 business days, if not earlier- by this time a month had passed. I called yesterday to get an answer and was told the warehouse never saw emails about cancellation and had sent out the parcel to DPD. DPD was now trying to get the parcel back to them and I cant have a refund until they've verified return on their end. Again was given assurances that they would be in touch end of day. Its the next day, and theyre now closed for holidays?!. I left a review and they refused to publish it. AVOID purchasing from here. Im on mat leave and each penny is important right now. Lord knows when I will get my money back!
I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company. Paid 950 pounds for the Oxford bundle for my son and daughter in law. The left front wheel was continuously falling off. In the small print it says they have the right to take in fur repair… ridiculous in my opinion. For the price paid it should be a replacement as only used a few times. My daughter in law was anxious to go anywhere for fear of wheel falling off.
Maxi cosi booked it in for repair. No replacement pram in the meantime. I had to purchase a pram for her to use in meantime. A large well known company like this should refund immediately if there is issues… absolute joke!!!!!
Very disappointed with Maxi-Cosi customer service
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Maxi-Cosi. We purchased a stroller that developed a fault very soon after purchase, and instead of offering a straightforward replacement, the company insists on taking it away for inspection and repair — leaving us without a stroller for up to 5 working days.
We have a newborn and rely on the stroller daily for hospital and healthcare visits, yet Maxi-Cosi has made no provision for a loan or replacement during this time. Their “solution” leaves families stranded and without an essential product.
I expected far better support from such a well-known brand. The lack of flexibility and empathy in their response has been incredibly disappointing. I hope Maxi-Cosi reconsiders its approach to after-sales care — especially for parents of newborns who depend on their products daily.
Very bad experience
Very bad experience. I returned a product and was refunded only approx. 2% of its value. Customer service took ages to respond to my many emails, refusing to refund the full amount or a product exchange like requested.
Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service, they are meant to be the best and safest seat but they are not cheap and the customer service is awful.
Our dog bit through one of the straps
Therefor one harness strap needs to be replaced, but Maxi-Cosi won't sell me a replacement strap. They want me to have the whole seat sent to Holland, for them to replace the broken strap. The Sending alone would cost me more than €150.--. Absolutely customer-unfriendly!!
DO NOT BUY!!
DO NOT BUY!!! We both Maxi Cosy FAME travel system and since we opened the boxes we have only issues with their products: 1/ Car seat 360 pebble pro2 absolutely unsafe for the baby since the straps with pads fall on babies head not shoulders. Unlike other brands car seats, Maxy Cosy one had extremely hard pads which is very uncomfortable for the baby 2/ the pram frame came broken which they exchanged 3/ 5 weeks later again the pram frame broke (parts which holds the pram, push chair and car seat. The clicks star to fall. Now it is with Maxi Cosi to fix BUT for £1600 we did not expect product as if you bought it from Temu!!!! If you wonder if to buy- DO Not Buy Maxi Cosi. Now I am trying for them to refund me at least for the car seat which is unsafe but it’s almost impossible. If I can report the safety somewhere I would!!!

I spent a significant period of time and effort to research the pro private seat fr my grandson.
There was nothing n the material that suggested that the seat can’t be used rear facing.
On arrival it was clear it asnt set up for rear facing.
I spoke to an employee on their “customer services” line who patronised me. I was a children’s clinical specialist for many years prior to retirement and needed an answer NOT supercillious posturing.
Extremely Disappointed – Faulty Car Seat and No Response
I ordered a child car seat from Maxi-Cosi on 10th May. Upon receiving it, I noticed it was faulty and contacted their customer service on 22nd May. I was told they would arrange an exchange, but since then, I’ve heard nothing back.
I’ve followed up multiple times — on 30th May, 6th June, 9th June, 10th June, and again today (11th June) — and have received no response at all. It’s incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially when this involves something as essential as a child car seat.
Over a month later, I am still without a working car seat, which is completely unacceptable for a company that specialises in child safety products. I expected much better from Maxi-Cosi and will not be ordering from them again unless this is resolved promptly.
Maxi Cosi Carrycot Adapter Set for Zelia 3 Stroller
I bought a pair of Maxi-Cosi carrycot adapter set for Zelia3 Stroller online on 14 May 2025, paid full price, expecting to receive a brand new item. The order number is : 000078012. Received it on 20 May 2025 with a lot of scratches, looks like its been used. I contacted customer service via chat and was immediately offered a refund once I return it. Return label never arrived in my email. And im also not happy to go out of my way to send it back being heavily pregnant and all. Its just terrible they would send a product out in that condition and sell it full price. Considering it will be used on a baby. I will never buy from them in the future.

I bought a Toucan tower product a week ago. It came missing a part, and Maxi-Cosi refuses to resolve the issue, even though it was purchased from their store on Amazon. Terrible customer service — do not buy! Extremely expensive for what it is, and it arrived incomplete, compromising the safety of our children. I do not recommend it! It's dangerous, and they completely denied responsibility. For a product manufactured last month, they claim not to have the missing part!
Do not order from this Maxi Coi website - shocking customer service
Do not order from the Maxi Cosi website. Buy from any other retailer but not the official website. Ordered a car seat from them only because promised a 2 day DPD dispatch. Arrived 10 days after order. No confirmation of it being sent, total radio silence when I needed it urgently for a trip. Send them email via customer portal but no response. Eventually got to speak to someone who sounded like she was washing dishes whilst ‘advising’ me that there was nothing she could do. By the time DPD showed up we were off on our holiday with the car seat purchased from JL. Will I get my money back Maxi-Cosi?! God knows, it’s radio silence again.
Absolutely rubbish customer service
Absolutely rubbish customer service! I had a maxi cosi high chair gifted to me (brand new) and had a fault, it will not click in place so my son is in hazard of tipping out!
I have emailed back and forth about 7 times, with evidence (photos and videos) and the only email that this company is capable of sending is repeated- provide proof if unable to do so we may still be able to assist only there may be repair charges which you’ll need to pay blah blah.
I will not be paying for any repairs as a company fault causing a hazard to my child! No solution, help or understanding whatsoever.

We have two Maxi Cosi Mica car seats and both have developed faults with the isofix arms. Maxi Cosi have fixed both, but it's a hassle at a time in your life when you least need it!
Appalling company
Appalling company. Loved their products and won’t be buying again. Their customer service (questionable terminology) is not fit for purpose. Have a faulty car seat and they refuse to acknowledge all the evidence I sent. Then said eventually they’d take it for a week. I have no car seat in the mean time??? How can I sort that? They could not care less. Will be going to consumer direct for escalation.
