I’m so angry

I’m so angry! My double Dana for 2 was faulty so they told me return the pushchair which they organised and I followed the instruction. They then claimed that the courier had lost my pushchair which after being on the phone for 2 hours direct to DPD and the local depot they told me it was delivered the following day! I then contacted maxi cosi who told me that they didn’t know I had tracking details and they accepted they have my pushchair. They emailed me asking for my bank account details which I gave and they told me my refund was processed and will be with me in 10 working days! I still haven’t received my money Holly keeps telling me that it’s clear their end! When it certainly isn’t mine. I suffer with post natal depression and have been stuck indoors for 1month now with a 26m old and a 11m old as I can’t buy a new pushchair without my refund!

Contact Trading Standards

I eventually resolved a truly appalling issue I had over safety advice given to me by Maxi Cosi regarding a car seat that had been in an accident. I’ve contacted Trading Standards, and I’d urge others to do the same. I believe Trading Standards will act if sufficient complaints are made. I had to contact the CEO in Canada over my issue, and I was told by someone very high up in Maxi Cosi that the way the UK customer services had responded was very, very wrong - to the extent that my complaint not even been properly recorded. They had several UK manger changes in 2019/2020, and promised me they would learn from my case and move forwards. However - recent reviews are not reflecting this. PLEASE CONTACT TRADING STANDARDS.

Comprised SAFETY of faulty pushchair is ACCEPATBLE by Maxi Cosi.

They ACCEPTED, that comprised SAFETY of faulty pushchair is ACCEPATBLE by Maxi Cosi.
I have reported a few issues with a Adorra pushchair. I have stated, that it's not safe to carry baby with that faults.
Maxi Cosi, INITIALLY refused to accept it under warranty, as they do not have in stock, matching colour. (That is a reason for warranty refusal!!!???)
Then I said, that I will escalate this matter to the to the trading Standards and Maxi Cosi Rep ROBERTA, changed her mind straight away, and responded with the following:

If you want to continue with a repair we can support you in this with the understanding you are accepting that the replacement parts will not be a match for your current model.

Kind regards,

Roberta
The Maxi-Cosi team

So Maxi Cosi, is happy to compromise a safety, and put my baby at risk, by repair with not matching parts!

Agreed to take this matter with a further legal actions (including a court), and also they will be reported to the trading standards as a general procedure in such a cases

Please be careful with Maxi Cosi, you will not be supported by them, and you end up going to buy Bugaboo to received an excellent CS and great quality product.
Don't do my mistake, don't buy Maxi Cosi!

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would! AVOID!

Did not refund me for a loan seat despite me not using it, telling me it had extensive damage to the headrest and had to be thrown away?!

No photographic evidence?
No proof that I damaged the seat?

The couriers collected the seat which was returned in the same condition as it arrived - I didn’t even end up using it!

Maxi cosi customer service operative Holly was quick enough to ring up and take payment for a loan seat while our chair was to be repaired. No contact number to discuss why they’ve withheld my deposit though!

Scam. Avoid! Will not only never use their products again, but will warn everyone else off them too!

Will be going though other channels to make sure I get my money back.

Refund not received. No response from Customer service

The customer service is very poor. I am waiting for a refund since October 2020 after having returned a car seat. It’s almost February 2021 and I am still waiting. The customer service responds every 10 days at best and they are telling me they are still checking with the accounting departments and. It is a complete joke.

They were happy to allow the use of their unsafe car seat

I bought a Maxi Cosi Tobi car seat, but had issues when my daughter was able to wiggle around, causing the straps to come loose and then she was able to pull her arms free from them, all while I am driving. This happened multiple times, and so I thought it was time to contact the company as it clearly wasn't that I just didn't tighten the belt properly (which is very tough to do once the child is in the seat).
I paid to have it repaired, but they sent it back saying they couldn't find any fault and to try adjusting the head rest. I did this, but the problem still persisted. So I contacted them again, sent them some videos (which is hard to do, as the problem occurs while I am driving, not instantaneously). They said they wanted evidence that this happened without the child in the seat. Of course this doesn't happen without the child, as it is movement over time that is causing the belt to loosen.
They accepted no responsibilty, would not refund my money (even though they never fixed the faulty seat), and seem very happy to allow the use of their unsafe car seat to continue. With the safety of a child at risk, I find their attitude completely unacceptable.

Excellent response to warranty repair

I just had to write a review because after seeing the poor reviews here I got in a bit of a panic after sending my Maxi-Cosi Adorra stroller off for repair!

After just 10 months my stroller started to become hard to put up and down - sometimes taking me 20 mins to wrestle it into submission! As it was under the 24 month warranty, I contacted Maxi-Cosi support. They took a while to respond and it was frustrating as it often took 2 working days to get a reply each time i emailed them. However, given the current situation with Covid-19, I imagine they are short staffed, so I could accept this.

After sending a video of the problem, they immediately booked it in for repair and told me to box up the chassis to be collected by a courier the next day. It arrived with them 3pm the day after collection and the day after that I got notification that I have a parcel coming back from them the next day! Wow!

As it turned out, they replaced the entire chassis "to ensure it has no defective parts".

I am very happy with the service received, especially in a time when businesses are struggling, understaffed and everything takes longer! Well done Maxi-Cosi!

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service. My maxi cosi zelia almost collapsed on me with my child inside. They respond once a week I’m told and if you reply before that week is up then the process starts all over again. How is that customer service? I have no pushchair for my child and they would not send me a replacement out. I’m in shock at how such a ‘leading brand’ can produce such dangerous poor quality and not even manage to provide any kind of service!!

Don't buy from this company

Don't buy from this company, you'll just lose your money. I bought a car seat for my daughter on 9th August, which was 4 weeks ago and they've not delivered it. They've kept my money and ignored my emails. So I've lost £140 and now have to start over with another retailer.

Aweful customer service

Aweful customer service, truly unacceptable. When my car seat has broken for the second time in what i see as a flawed design, to get it collected by maxi-cosi, only for them to ay that the courier has lost it, then to find out when i track it the seat had been delivered to them. 2 1/2 weeks later i have no information or any concrete answers after trying to get in touch with them is an absolute joke. I am now in a position where i can only go and buy another seat. If you want after care service on the products you buy, dont buy Maxi-Cosi

Just don’t even bother seriously

Haven’t used the car seat and isofix base yet. But if I could go back in time there’s no way in hell I would go through purchasing these products again. The compatibility of the car seats and isofix bases is a total joke. Two of the bases that fit our car seat were discontinued and we were advised by the team to get another discontinued base to fit. After purchasing it from a third party seller who still had it in stock, we were then told actually it was a completely different base that fits our seat! Total joke, the pandemic is no excuse for bad customer services on social media and through email. I’m sorry but it’s not. I sit at home and answer customer queries all day for my own job. It’s not been affected. So annoyed that we spent upwards of £370 with this company.

Absolute awful experience

Absolute awful experience. We have recently had a daughter and we cannot take her out due to the pram brakes not working. We used the online chat on the Maxi-Cosi website and a lady called Roberta got in touch with us and offered us the 2 way fix. I advised as good as it was, rather than a courier collecting the pram frame - repairing it and then returning in 3-5 days this would still leave is not being able to leave the house. So could the courier just not drop a new frame off and take the old one. Roberta agreed this could happen and we needed to send a video of the brakes not working and a courier would be arranged and she would let us know date/time etc. However my daughter is now 12 days old and we have had no response from Maxi-Cosi after several chase emails also the chat function has disappeared on the website. I wouldn't mind if it was a ripped cover or something I would agree to the the 2 way fix but the brakes not working is not acceptable and brakes are quite integral to a pram.

2 Way Fix...Fixed!

Our 2 way fix base broke after 12 months, just before the Covid pandemic. I was worried I would have to pay another £199 to replace as I looked at the website and it said they had a lifetime warranty for people who registered their product (which I had not). I emailed Maxi-Cosi in February via their website and had a response in two days. They were happy to look at the fault and I had to box the item and arrange a day with their courier to be collected. Then Covid hit so I presumed it wouldn’t get sorted till after so I left it. I contacted them three months later to sort - they arranged collection on Tuesday 2nd June and the base was fixed and returned by Friday 5th!
Great customer service especially as I was delayed in getting back to them.
Pro Tip. Always register your products!

I would give them 0 if I could.

I would give them 0 if I could.

Our £300 car seat had a fault with it, and instead of trying to remedy the situation by picking the item up or replacing it, they rang me to sell me a box to return it.

Tells you a lot about the type of company they.

Poor quality product and customer service lacking.

Poor quality product and customer service lacking. The car seat I ordered arrived in a battered box with no internal packaging at all. I refused the delivery as I was concerned the seat may have invisible damage (fairly worrying for something as important as a newborn child's car seat). Customer service were less than helpful on the three occasions I contacted them regarding the refund. It took over 14 days to receive the refund and this was only because I emailed saying I was going to take it to PayPal. I purchased the same car seat on Amazon as I needed it urgently. Again it arrived in inadequate packaging and the seat itself was poor quality and cheaply made. It didn't fit the adaptors for my Bugaboo pram correctly, despite being on the list of seats which 'do' fit (it wouldn't click into place and would be incredibly difficult to change from car to pram with a baby in). I purchased a different brand of seat and you can feel the difference in quality, plus it easily fits the pram adaptors, all for the same price. To top it off, Maxi-Cosi asked me to review my purchase for their website. I sent a similar review to this one here but received an email saying it 'hadn't been accepted this time'. Looks like they only publish positive reviews! Avoid.

I was involved in a moderately severe…

I was involved in a moderately severe car accident in August 2019. We were hit from behind at 20mph. It was a scary experience as we had two children in the back. One of the car seats involved was a Maxi Cosi Pebble. It was occupied by a 5 month old baby who was thankfully fine.

I contacted Maxi Cosi customer services to see if the car seat needed replacing and they assured me that it was safe to continue using the seat (indeed in a later telephone conversation I was assured that it was 100%safe).

Two months later, my insurance company disputed this and advised me to replace the seat. I contacted Which? and they informed me that "our crash tests show that even at a very low speed car seats and isofix bases can incur cracks that can compromise the structural integrity and mean that it is no longer safe to use".

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents advise that it is better to be safe than sorry and to replace the seat after and accident. They also state that "the only reliable way to test whether a child seat is still capable of providing the protection for which it is designed would be to conduct laboratory tests, which would themselves destroy the seat."

ROPSA also state that "some manufacturers give advice about the circumstances in which the seat should be replaced". This prompted me to look at my Pebble handbook which states "replace the Maxi Cosi Pebble after an accident".

When I tried to complain to Maxi Cosi, no complaints procedure was explained to me. I repeatedly asked about the circumstances where the seat should be replaced, and the exact criteria they used to asses the safety of my seat, but they refused to answer this question.

I posted my review to Facebook last week and instead of a response on their webpage, they emailed me to say that "they would no longer engage in any correspondence involving this matter".

Trading Standards have advised me to ask again for a copy of their complaints procedure by sending a letter via recorded delivery.

I believe they advised me that my seat was safe because they offer a "Swap Service". Therefore they may be reluctant to replace seats as it would be a financial loss to them, The decision to replace a car seat should never, ever be based on a financial incentive - it should be about a child travelling in a safe seat. I believe they were only able to offer me "probably safe" advice - I wanted to know the "absolutely safe" advice.
