We recently purchased our new home through wards. We really can’t thank them enough for their hard work and dedication. They kept us updated they chased for updates and information about the chain and pushed to get it across the line. They really do try their best to get the best outcome across the whole chain and made us feel more comfortable when we felt things were going quiet. Big shout out to Chloe Yas Lewis and Debbie. What a team they are and what lovely people they are too. Always happy and communicative no matter how many time you call and chase and ask for updates really l made the process smoother and easier for what is a very stressful time.

My son is in the process of buying his first property and I contacted Wards in Snodland to book a viewing of one of their properties. I spoke to a lovely lady called Monika who was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful estate agent I have ever dealt with (I’ve dealt with a few in my life, most of them rubbish). She was excellent at her job, very friendly and enthusiastic, it was nice to speak to someone who genuinely wanted to help.
She spent a lot of time talking me through lots of details and giving me some excellent advice.
I asked for recommendations for a solicitor and she highly recommended Martin Tolhurst, who was also excellent.
She also recommended that my son talk to Mortgage Matters, a highly regarded mortgage broker, who has been brilliant and is in the process of getting a much better deal for my son than one he was offered elsewhere.
Although my son ended up putting an offer in on a property with another agent, Monika has still offered any help or advice we may need.
There is a marked difference between Wards and the estate agent who is selling the property my son is buying. They’re nowhere near as good but unfortunately we have no control over that.
If we’re buying or selling property in the Kent area again Wards will be the estate agent we go to. Excellent service, I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Wards of Tenterden are a fantastic example of a good agent, I cannot praise the whole team David, Jodie both outstanding, always someone at the end of the phone, highly recommend.

We want to thank in particular Vanessa Reeves who went above and beyond to help our Dad buy his dream bungalow. She liaised with us and the vendor to make it happen! We cannot thank her enough for everything in every respect. She is a real credit to your company. Thank you.

We recently moved out from a property managed by this agency and overall the process was completed, but there were some concerns regarding deposit deductions.

A £150 deduction was proposed for reinstalling a shower screen. Initially, only a quotation was provided, and an invoice was issued later. While the work does appear to have been completed, no evidence of damage was provided — only that the screen needed to be refitted.

Communication was generally polite, and the remaining deposit was returned promptly, which we appreciated. However, the deduction itself felt questionable, as it related to reinstallation rather than repair.

I would recommend future tenants ensure that any permissions or changes are confirmed in writing and that detailed check-in/check-out records are kept.

Overall, not a negative experience, but something to be aware of

We were served with a section 21 no fault eviction notice. I phoned up Wards regarding a property that i saw advertised, and a lovely lady called Jade dealt with my phone call. She was very honest about the property I was interested in viewing, telling me that the landlord was looking to sell this property in the future. After taking all my details, she informed me of a property that was just about to come onto the rental market. We were interested but wouldn't be able to view for a couple of weeks as we were going on holiday. After an hour of getting off of the phone, Jade called me back to say the landlord had dropped in the keys, and we were able to arrange a viewing for that afternoon.
We liked the property, put in an application, and, within 3 weeks we had the keys. Jade was so helpful throughout the whole process, keeping us fully updated. We could not fault Jade at all!

I was looking to purchase through the Herne Bay branch and all the team there were nothing short of fantastic throughout! Id also like to mention Rachael R-B (Sales progressor) who kept me updated and really well informed, no question ever to daft and so friendly and easy to communicate with. In the end my purchase wasn't meant to be but it did encourage me to try and sell through Canterbury Wards and my experience with Jade continued just as brilliantly as it had with the Herne Bay branch!

Fantastic outcome!!! Ashley came to value my property, was so friendly, and positive! Made me feel I was definitely doing the right thing, after having doubts with other estate agents!!! A brilliant team at the Birchington branch, they all played their part in the sale, and my property sold within a month!!!! What a result!!! Wouldn't go anywhere else!!
