Horrible experience
I have been trying for over a year to obtain information regarding my mother’s account after her death. I have submitted the documentation required several times. By fax they have dropped my calls or it doesn’t work or they say they didn’t receive it. When I communicate by mail, they continue to send responses to my mother’s old address where she doesn’t live anymore (due to her death). They continued to withdraw money from her account after death notification. I sent in the paperwork via certified mail (they won’t do any communicating online or by phone) with a required signature. I know they received it and have my address for responses and my lawyers information. They still have not responded. I have not been able to close probate and the company requires PR papers signed within three months but will prolong communication and denials so long that you have to file again and pay a lawyer to do so. I met with an authority at JP Morgan who implied this is illegal because not only have they taken money from her, they have declined heirs (court appointed PR, POA, etc. ) of any access and right to trade or make any decisions regarding the shares. Customer Service has been awful. No one answers the phone, they don’t call back, and they continuously answer email with a prescribed response that is too vague to help. They only respond by mail and it takes weeks to get responses as opposed to minutes with other companies. I rarely write reviews unless it has to do with fleecing clients. I am writing this review for those that are on the fence about working with this company. Please go online and read detailed reviews about the company and take your business to a reputable firm that will communicate with you via all channels, act promptly and reasonably regarding your requests, and provide you with fair trading options. Also find a company that won’t continue to misuse you or your family’s hard earned money after your death. All the previous reviews are mind boggling to me because my experience has been so painful and horrible, has not only denied me of focusing on my grief and loss, but instead making it more difficult including the additional expenses for lawyers to help me. I have filed a complaint with FINRA, and am now moving to filing formal complaints with other oversight organizations and investigators. My review is only an attempt to get any readers to really think through their decision about this company and save them the hours of time and energy they have taken from me along with everything else.
