I am a fairly large purchaser of garden products , including 20-30 bulk bags of topsoil every month. I decided to try Topsoil as a company and I wont be using them again. Despite repeated assurances that the delivery would arrive on a set day, it arrived a week early, was dumped on a white resin drive and in the worng place. I have tried twice to get a response from thier customer service department but they are ignoring my emails. Would not reccomend them and I have gone back to my previous supplier. It would not have taken much to win me back but their lack of interest means they have lost me as a customer.

Like other reviews, during delivery twinstacks tipped over when delivery driver attempted to take out the van.. Absolute nightmare with 500kg bags of soil spilling into the road that are now lying on their side and too heavy to move.
When I contacted topsoil, they asked if I could move the bags with a wheelbarrow. Totally inappropriate suggestion given the size.

Twinstacks are not safe to be delivered as they are, I was expecting a flat bed truck with a mechanical arm not a man in a medium van trying to move a double stacked bag of soil with a jack. A matter of time before someone is injured with the twinstacks.

I ordered 2 bags of top soil in May. It was delivered on time. While delivering it, the van driver cracked a drain cover. I reported this to Topsoil with photos and a cost estimate (£20 to replace). I was told I would be compensated. Several phone calls and 3 months later, I am still being told the same thing, but nothing has happened. Also, numerous vigorous weeds sprouted from where I laid the soil of a kind I had not seen before, so I suspect the soil was not properly treated.

Ordered twice from Topsoil.co.uk. First delivery was a double stack of soil. This is one bag sat on top of another bag on a pallet. This is 2x 500l so the same 1000l as a Dandy's jumbo bag. The delivery was via Pallet Line so good service, email with a link to an approximate time, friendly diver. Had never used them before so was worried as no dispatch confirmation was received after I put the order in, but the delivery turned up. Product is okay, a fine free flowing free draining sandy soil. Some organic fibres, no stones, and well screened. Ordered another two double stacks and the process was the same. Email confirmation of order, no dispatch notification, email from Pallet Line when out for delivery. I didn't really care when it arrived as I was doing the work myself so wasn't worried about if it came on time or not but I think I remember it came when I expected it to. You need to add a mulch or bark over this soil once down if using it for a border. Probably ideal for turf.

Ordered several items on a Sunday paid online and payment went through. Did not get confirmation email so called Mon morning. Was told would get confirmation of order withing hour. Was told they had order and even read it back to me plus delivery was Wednesday. Did not receive email so called again was kept on hold by a person who said he was in the call centre for over 25 mins.
Called again and was told no record of my address person said in call centre so did not really care what I was told earlier. Called again another person in Bradford call centre totally useless. Asked to speak with person in head office to raise a complaint. Was then told order did not go through so the items I was told I was receiving on Wednesday were not coming. Still no call back from head office who were not "available to talk"Totally useless customer service and truly horrible people. Would have given minus stars if I could now will try and get my money back

Ordered topsoil it came 3 days late. Ordered turf and after 1 week it has mushrooms growing in it

Stacked bags fell over, all over the road! Narrowly missing my neighbours child who was walking past at the time, could’ve been so much worse, a complete health and safety nightmare and an accident waiting to happen, hence the review, soil itself was nice, but the twinstack concept is completely floored sadly.

The person I spoke to on the phone at 5pm on the booked day of delivery (an hour before the end of the delivery window) said it was still out for delivery. At 6:20 I called again (20 minutes after the 8am-6pm delivery window) the same lady then informed me they tried to call twice a while before to say the delivery was delayed even though they confirmed the correct number. I had no missed calls and had called other people that same day, I wouldn't be so frustrated if they hadn't lied to me. When I said we needed the delivery ASAP ideally in the morning when she mentioned it will be delivered the next day (as the project is now already delayed) it arrived at 5pm. The delivery driver was offish (that didn't help our frustration). All in all, I would not recommend using Topsoil UK.
