Dear Texecom,
When you have a decent employee who's worked for you for numerous years, very good at his job, fixed jobs the Chinese couldn't, canceled medical appointments to work overtime, and quite possibly made you alot of money. Have the decency to turn up to his funeral. You forced my dad to retire from a job he enjoyed and couldn't even be bothered to attend his funeral. I hope you fold.

Texecom will not replace or repair faulty items directly... they have to be taken back to the original supplier, not the fitter. Texecom will fobb you off.
If you have this system get an invoice / receipt from the supplier... not the fitter.
Texecom customer service in my experience is shocking.

We had a Premier 64W installed by an NSI company and had nothing but issues , wireless devices dropping out, batteries draining and the App keep going down . The system end panel was upgraded with similar issues then another company took us over after leaving - they’ve told us Texecom is going to the ground , it’s old technology with too many software bugs so we had another upgrade to ORISEC and the system is working really well . Third time lucky but not with Texecom
We had the Texecom alarm professionally installed four years ago and all we have had is trouble. The first year only a couple of issues but then the window sensors systematically failed. So we were getting alarms activations usual between midnight and three in the morning. The alarm installation company after 6 had failed replaced them all and almost immediately they started to fail again. The phone app is poor and unreliable.
All in all a bad choice for us. We are now in the position of looking for another system and having the Texecom one ripped out so a waste of money. Please think very carefully before you get one of these as it’s only been a pain for us and a poor quality product that’s not fit for purpose
Texecom alarms are 5 star and don't listen to these 1 star reviews, people complaining saying every time there's an issue there's a 50.00 call out charge from your security company , well that's an issue with your security company not the texecom alarm . If it's installed correctly and maintained accordingly then the system is great and this is coming from a security engineer ( 25 years in the business ) of your security company is ripping you off or your not qualified to fit this security system then to u can't be giving Texecom a 1 star review .
Texecom app is a joke. Very bad and incomplete history report. Poor arm and disarm functionality when used by two users. Expensive system but much more amateur than my former cheap system. Regret I bought this and regret I always need a professional to program this poor system. Don’t buy!
Installed a Premier Elite system in our self build project 6 years ago. In previous 2 projects I used the Veritas system which I found to be easy to program and very reliable. I have found the Premier Elite to be incredibly complicated and recently had to contact “Technical Support “ after being unable to clear a “ power fault notification “ following a power cut. When I eventually got through to Technical, they were extremely helpful and talked me through clearing the fault notification using “Global Options “ Why on earth make such a simple task so difficult and complicated. I presume it is to force end users to have service contracts with Texecom business customers!!!
When I had the Premier Elite installed I was recommended to install the additional equipment to utilise the “Smart Key”. I haven’t tried to use it until recently. One of the Smart Keys was totally dead. On prising it apart I found the battery to be fixed and unchargeable. I understand that they have recently changed to replacement batteries. At £35 each to replace the older smartkeys is fabulous business for Texecom.
I have tried the other Smartkey which seems to work Okay but it it is far from “Smart” !!! Every time before use, you have to hold the power button for at least 4 seconds before you can activate/deactivate the alarm.
I have remotes for my garage doors and driveway gates, neither has a power on button, simply open or close. Why on earth did Texecom not just integrate the power function in the red,amber and green buttons.
Summing up. Would I use Texecom in my next project .

I have a Texecom Premier Elite system. I installed it myself and it runs very well, but every now and then, the SmartCom component of the system fails which means I cannot gain access remotely.
Ash Smith as well as several colleaugues at Texecom Support have all been fantastic. They have very throgough knoweledge of their technology and products and every time I have contacted support with a problem, they have managed to sort me out.
My system is around 4 years old and the support provided is still excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in using Texecom in the future for another property as their after sales care is very good in my opinion.
Stuck with a Veritas 8, unable to remove thanks to idiot landlord. Practically useless unless you want chronic tinnitus. Read the negative reviews (which, of course, none of which have been met by a response from texecom as they'd rather bathe in the maybe 5 positive review essays by new buyers than fix their under-Chinese quality product).
I have self installed a few Texecom Veritas systems over the years with no issues at all. The systems have been robust and problem free. I recently upgraded to a Premier Elite system primarily to get remote access to the system via the phone app. It’s a professional grade system and complex to set up, but the array of configuration options means you can get it to meet your specific requirements. The SMK/FMK keypads are so elegant compared to the plastic RKPs that most alarm suppliers offer. The ability to configure the system with a web browser via the Texecom Cloud is an excellent feature, and for £7 annually is excellent value. Yes the app could be more elegant, but its functionality meets all of my needs. The installation documentation is excellent, all features are well explained, and all manuals are downloadable.
I must mention the excellent customer support that Texecom provide. They treat self-installers with respect instead of a nuisance, and have an encyclopaedic knowledge of their products. Time will tell how reliable the system is but so far I am extremely pleased with it.
I have the same issue as many others. Since my alarm has been fitted in 2021 it has continued to fail. It drains the batteries on a regular basis setting off the tamper alarm. The tamper alarm can go off every hour - including through the night! My alarm supplier Burgess Security has been very helpful but the alarm is not fit for purpose and I have asked for it to be removed. Don’t buy a Texecom alarm!
Buyers remorse, I genuinely regret purchasing the Texecom Alarm system. Foolishly, I assumed that once I'd purchased the product, there'd be no further financial outlay. How wrong I was, accidentally set off the alarm, you need an engineer to reset it. New broadband - you need an engineer to reset it, 12 month anniversary - device goes into service mode - you need an engineer. At £50 a time call out, Texecom Alarms are a fabulous money spinner for engineers. Please avoid, don't make the same mistake I have.
Non stop failures. in 1st year of operation the system has been inoperable for at least 70% of the time. Reason for failures are too numerous to list here but mainly due to very poor quality components and poor design. The main system battery (which is not rechargeable) will go flat if you have a power outage for more that 3 hours requiring an expensive service call and expensive new battery.
Good looking product, unfortunately that is where the good stops. You need to be a good guesser because no instructions at all. It’s no wonder that China is leaving us behind, they may print their instructions in broken English but at least you get some. Even Texecom’s website is a waste of time, all gloss and no common sense.
I worked for Texecom, Its good company to work for. There work there isn't shoddy. Its done to a high standard and they have the equipment to prove that. The staff are well trained and local. Its one of the best places to work in Haslingden. Sadly they cannot control the housing market hence why i left. But id recommend their products.
If there is anyone out there Thinking of buying Texecom Alarm System Please don't buy one. It is one of the worst system ever. I had it Installed and i got nothing except trouble from day one. Few days after the Warranty, the system completely packed up and was quoted dearer than the original price of installation. Complained to Texecom Technical and got told nothing they can do as its out of Warranty. The aftersales service from this company is appalling
This is my third and final review regarding my purchase of a Texecom Veritas 8 alarm panel. Further to my 2 earlier reviews on this site,-
I received panel NUMBER 5 recently from my retailer ( Superlec Direct ) who have been excellent throughout. Panel number 5 is installed, and appears to be working fine. Why on Earth it should take a customer to receive 5 panels, before you get one that actually works is a disgrace. I am delighted that Texecom don't make parachutes. I will not be buying any of their products in the future.
I bought texecom alarm system an online company. When I got the system there were no installation instructions and there was no indication of where I could get it either. I visited texe.com and found out that I had to register as a installer even though I was not a professional installer to download the instructions. Needless to say it was easy enough register with fictitious details and download. This sought of jobs worth approach that serves no purpose is disappointing and only frustrates customers. If Texecom do not wish to sell to end users they should publicise it and have better controls.
Poor quality product. Awful support, talk to you like you’re stupid, they really don’t like taking calls. In the end I advised customer to go with Honeywell.

Sent numerous emails regarding faulty psu issue , 72 hours still no reply .. absolute terrible customer service , 96 hrs now , forget the refund .Will advise others to steer clear , you should be ashamed of your aftercare
