Experience in care
I have never worked in care before, joined Promedica in march this year, I’ve enjoyed every minute. I love working with the staff, management are great and hard working. All the clients are lovely, I love working with them, such a lovely bond with them all. Management are always there to help with work and life balance. Was worried about hours when I first started I’ve never had below 40 hours a week /)

Poor standard of care and communication
The standard of care and poor level of communication continue to be a disappointment. I've caught care workers not attending to my mum when she was begging for help, as one example of poor standard of care. This is despite previous concerns being raised about this.

I started working for Promedica…
I started working for Promedica approximately 4 weeks ago. My whole entire experience from recruitment, to training, then into starting my employment has been impeccable.
The amount of support and guidance I have received throughout these processes, and that is still ongoing from my manager and other colleagues, has been outstanding.
I couldn’t think of a better company to work for, as it has been such a positive experience, and what they do and the amount of support that they give their clients goes above and beyond- they really all do CARE.

It's a business
It's a business. Just about money. Same as all these "Care" companies. The same as everything in this life. Of course you have to pay but for what? You maybe get one now and again who is actually naturally caring. Finding such a person is like finding gold. We live in a robotic digital society of empty shells now. I need soulful spiritual people.

Promedica24 provided a mixed experience. While some carers were loving and professional, there were issues with untrained staff and customer care. Management helped with transitions, but improvement in service consistency is needed. Overall, a satisfactory option with room for enhancement.

We decided that our 93 year old parents…
We decided that our 93 year old parents needed live in care in order to allow them to continue to live in their own home until they died which is what they wanted to do . We researched a range of providers but it was only ProMedica24 that specialised in live in care. Our parents did not want to be tied down to times that carers were able to visit them to provide any personal care or give them their medication. Having a live in carer allowed them the flexibility they wanted. The care plan allowed our parents to be as independent as they could while giving support when needed. Due to our mother's worsening health and care needs they had a quicker succession of carers than expected but all were great and fitted into our parents life easily. Once our mother passed away having a live in carer was essential for our father. They provided him with companionship as well as taking care of the house and cooking.
Although most of the carers were Polish their English was good and most of them had lived in the UK for some time. Not only were the carers friendly and helpful the support we had as a family from the care manager and regional partner were exceptional. They responded quickly to any requests or change in plans and were very reasonable. They thoroughly assessed the care needed and priced accordingly and were helpful in understanding our parents finances. They helped in dealing with Social Services and that took the worry of paying the bills from us.

Extremely quick and responsive
Extremely quick and responsive. Gary was very professional and helpful. The Care Manager Kristina was down to earth, really understanding and had a good sense of humour. An amazing team!

First class care for our mum
From the initial contact, through to the live-in carers mum has had over the last 18 months, ProMedica have been excellent in their attention and care. The helpfulness, attention to detail and care mum has received is a credit to their people. Thank you

Staff not dementia trained awful company
My mum had promedica. they let her mount up a large debt even though she was paying the carers weekly herself by cheque . Staff were young unqualified didn't even know how to cook simple food. We're un trained in dementia . One carer damaged my mums house.please do not put your parents or loved ones In to the care of promedica . Customer care is awful 😖

Promedica 24 have offered us a very…
Promedica 24 have offered us a very professional service which has enabled us to enable our very elderly parents to continue living in their own home which is their expressed wish. When the first live in carer was unable to meet the requirements of both mum and dad the care manager arranged a smooth transition to a new live-in carer with no disturbance at all to both mum and dad. Support has been on hand from the care - manager whenever required for both the live in carer and ourselves.

From the moment I spoke with Promedica24 I was impressed
Specialising in live-in care Promedica24 have enabled my mum to stay and be cared for in her own home, her life long wish and that of my dad's too before he passed away last year. Mum has complex health issues inc Parkinson's and Dementia. To be cared for in her own home has meant she is in a familiar environment surrounded by familiar things including her dog of 17 years which is priceless.
A special shout out to our amazing Care Manager Katrina. She is world class. A brilliant listener, first class customer service and she really does care about my mum and our family. Always going the extra mile to make sure everything is as it should be and better.
The carers have also been fantastic - their warmth towards mum and ability to work with other care professionals has been brilliant. It's such a hard and important role being a carer and they have all shown dedication to mum and her needs. Thank you Promedica as we enter a new chapter of double up live in care for mum.

The most helpful conversation with any care provider in years
Lisa Colver at Promedica24 was so lovely and helpful she brought me to tears. Her understanding and compassion made a very difficult conversation so much easier. Not only is she clearly very knowledgeable about the care industry as she gave me loads of useful advice, but her compassion was clearly evident. This is the best experience I've had speaking to a care provider, and I've dealt with a few!

Promedica24 - exceptional care offered
My Auntie has been cared for at home by Promedica24 for the last 4 years. My Auntie was 105 years old. It was my Auntie's wish to retain her independence and remain at home. Promedica24 made this possible.
2 carers worked 3 months on and 3 months off and shared the role. Both carers offered exceptional care to my Auntie. They treated her like a member of their own family. I highly recommend Promedica24

Our carer
Our carer was friendly,kind,caring compassionate,patient, excellent listening skills.
She treated Mum as a member of her own family with respect and dignity.
She was always looking to find ways to make mum's life better eg nutritious meals,different activities.
She was very supportive to us as a family and this was demonstrated again in how she has helped us in practical and caring ways helping prepare for mum's move into a Care Home next week.
Nothing is too much trouble for her
She is very professional but most importantly very approachable.
A true star and we view her as a valued family member.
We will miss her and feel very fortunate she cared for Mum for the last 4 years.
Promedica is lucky to have her.
I also think it is important to match the carer to the client if possible .
Her gentle calm approach with Mum was perfect.
Also important the area carer will be based in suits them as
well so they are happy.
She loved our part of the world for walks and city visits .
As a family we have always felt it was important that she was treated well.
We cared that she was happy and
were delighted when she chose to
come back again and again.Excellent continuity for us and Mum.
She made us all feel Mum was in very safe hands.

Do Not Use This Company
I initially wrote an excellent review as I was very impressed with how the care was set up to enable my elderly mother, who had had a stroke, to leave hospital and live at home.
However, this did not work out as my mother found it very difficult to adjust to having someone living with her in her home, so we terminated the contracted. As per the contract, 1 month needs to be given and she was happy to pay this rather than have a carer in her home.
During the course of paying, it came to light that the carer had stolen my mother’s bank cards and gone on a spending spree, even paying herself money from my mother's account so her name was on the bank statement. There was no doubt that this had occurred and following the involvement of banks, police from two counties it was impossible to find this individual and charge her.
Promedica24 initially responded quickly and thought were going to be supportive to the situation ie allowing one of their employees to live with a vulnerable elderly person who took full advantage of her situation and stole from her in her own home.
However, I was very wrong and no apology ever came our way or acceptance that they were to blame at all as they had done ‘all the checks necessary’ and therefore wasn’t there fault.
They continued to demand the outstanding amount but as it was being investigated by the police, I refused to pay until the matter had been resolved. Getting nowhere with me, they then sent demands to my mother, who fortunately had up to that point been unaware of the situation. They were completely ruthless and unsympathetic and totally focussed on getting the money in whatever way they could.
Since the police closed the case with no result, Promedica24 were back demanding money. I felt the situation was never going to get a satisfactory resolution so I paid the outstanding balance and included how disappointed I was in their service. Since they have received the money over three weeks ago I have had any acknowledgment of receipt of the money. Just a money grabbing company and not interested in the clients at all.
It was such a terrible experience for the whole family and carried on for over 2 years. I thought I had chosen a reputable company to take care of my mother when her world was turned upside down following a stroke that left her unable to speak, read or write. How wrong I was and wouldn’t want anybody else to go through this awful experience

Stay away from this company.
Absolutely terrible company treated my Gran really badly. Some of them wouldn't get her out of bed for exercise so she went down hill quite quickly. One of the ladies wouldn't do the shopping or leave the house or even cook meals for her. She fed her sandwiches and junk food. So my mother had to step in and order deliveries but hard when we lived far away. One of the carers didn't give her much company and stayed in the other rooms. She had a few falls and was left unchanged after accidents. One night she was left on the floor for a long time and the supposed carer didn't press the alarm for help and waited for an ambulance which was a long time. A neighbour was who could have gone in to help wasn't alerted. The company itself fobbed us off with excuses and demanded money for a full month 2 weeks after we had to move her in to a home because of there poor care. After moving her in to the home close by she improved dramatically.

Although your procedures maybe in place it doesn't mean they are carried out in the homes of the elderly.
September to December no complaints. The first carer she had was great she always made good home cooked meals and got her exercise routine in place and improved her mobility.
But that didn't continue with the next carer.
She was only there a week and my Gran had a fall not the carers fault but ended up in hospital. So that carer left.
The 3rd carer she had after her hospital vist wasn't very good. My Gran spent nearly 3 months in her front room and was only taken out when my mother visited. The carer frequently went out and said as her sleep was interrupted she was having an extra hour break. She went out and left my Gran by her self not able to use the camode for long periods of time. She was unable to cook properly so ended up with odd meals unlike odd meals unlike she was used to. She was convinced my Gran had covid so kept away from her in the house and spent most of her time doing personal study in the dinning.
It was about this time we realised my Gran was very unhappy and lonely so needed to re address her care situation and looked at putting her in a home.
The carer she recived in the last 4 weeks didn't want to leave the house. So was unable to do the shopping and ordered in Mc Donald's delivery's and my Gran was only ever offered sandwiches. Appently the carer also fell down the stairs twice not sure the reasons for this.
The bed was left unmade and general house keeping was poor. Brought to light when my mother noticed about 20 milk bottles were dirty so not collected by the milk man and left on the door step.
Not all complaints were brought forward at the time as it all happened quite quickly. But was all brought up apon reciveing final bill and the main reason for having to end the carer.
Regarding the alarm it wasn't pressed as the neighbour would have attended and got her off of the floor! She was left there for the ambulance to arrive.

Promedica has lovely care workers
Promedica has lovely care workers, we have only had great experience with them. The ladies supporting our family member have been caring and attentive, always made sure the house was also clean and tidy. Mediation has alwaysbeen given to J. on time and the right dosage. I can just highly recommend this agency to anyone who needs full time care in their home.

I enquired about a franchise with this business, the gentleman called me and I told him I would call him back in one minute, he then replies saying along the lines''we would speak another time'' I was suprised because I said I would call him back in 1 minute.
I since called him back about 3 times, he never picked my calls or returned my calls. Absolute red flag. He called me on number ending 7285
