Never use them. Rented out property through Whitegates Beeston. Rapid growth of mould all over the property within a month we moved in eventually made us to leave the property.
On our contact with agency, "Greg" and his director "Julian" visited the property. They recognised the problem initially and promised to come up with a solution. Their afterwords they never came back to us and started ignoring us completely. Finally we decided to vacate the property. After our vacation, check out inspection was held in our absence by a landlord. Now we have been informed by "Karen" that they are in a process of obtaining quotes for the works required and in support attached different pictures of mould which we were complaining about from the month we shifted into the property. In short, lesson for us and anyone out there is "They will come up with any excuse to hold your deposit".

I’m sorry to read that you feel so aggrieved. As you point out, I considered at the time that it was important that I personally got involved with your condensation issue and indeed did meet you at the house. As discussed internal mold and condensation is common in houses that have high humidity and are poorly ventilated. When you showed me the problems there was heavy condensation on some window panes, so much so, that puddles were forming on the window sills. Still, we did refer the matter back to the landlord (who used to live in the house) but he was of the opinion that the house needed more ventilation and unfortunately wouldn’t authorise any expenditure. With regards to your deposit, we require the house to be returned in a clean condition and the garden to be tidied. We are not being unreasonable. As you are aware, we are members of the Tenancy Dispute Service and you are welcome to refer your complaint to it and they will make an unbiased adjudication. Also, I have checked with the statistics on TDS website and we have returned 98.4% of deposits with no dispute.

Total Rip off....
This agency should not have been allowed to be in a market at very first place. Extremely unprofessional staff and behaviour at Whitegates. All is good till you encounter some problem as a tenant. They do not reply to your queries and start ignoring. Also they will try their level best to hold your deposit for all the fabricated reasons. Extremely extremely disappointed. Decided to fight my case till the end. To get this posted, had to select atleast 1 star which if given a choice will delete it as well.

I have replied to Heena's review above with more details but with regards to your deposit, we require the house to be returned in a clean condition and the garden to be tidied. We are not being unreasonable. As you are aware, we are members of the Tenancy Dispute Service and you are welcome to refer your complaint to it and they will make an unbiased adjudication. Also, I have checked with the statistics on TDS website and we have returned 98.4% of deposits with no dispute.
