used this agency for about 2 years and they were okay, I wouldn’t say brilliant because they are not very understanding on people with additional needs and disable tennants - after receiving a No fault eviction from my landlord (evicted for being autistic until proven otherwise) I am quite upset with the agency because they didn’t seem to work with me or understand my needs - I wouldn’t recommend using this agency if your neurodiverse or having additional needs because they don’t seem to understand what’s it’s like.

They wanted to take some of the disposit which I said they could for the walls but also blamed me for the mattress and how it was stained, I wouldn’t recommend this agency if you have additional needs and they don’t seem to understand disabled tennants

I’ll continue to tell my friends in the Cardiff and valley area not to use Flat Homes as they don’t seem to understand.

The landlords also failed to provide reasonable adjustments, there were MANY Failings during the tenancy, without full valid explanation I honestly believe I was evicted for being autistic, the agency couldn’t deal with me neither could the landlords so in essence “instead of work with the Tennant” they decide to get rid of the problem which is disgusting and not very supportive at all. People need to know what they are really like

We were letting a house and moved to Flat Homes after a bad experience with another agent. They helped us get bad tenants out and got us a higher rent. Their communication is impeccable, they took detailed photographs to show us the state of the place during inspections and they always responded to emails.

We have now sold the house, so assuming all goes through, we won't be letting again, but if we were to go back into letting, we would definitely use Flat Homes again.

Communication is so important when you are not local, and their communication is miles better than other agents we had the misfortune to encounter.

In line with other reviews - sadly Flat Homes lie openly in writing and in person with little care for their tenants well-being.

This review relates to dilapidated property 81 Ty - Mawr Road - which flat homes are attempting to sell for £270,000 and failing miserably.

Environmental Health and a Chartered surveyor can see all the issues that Flat Homes claim are fine.

The fraudulent EPC Carried out by Gareth Rees Failed an Audit by Assessors Stroma after a complaint. Gareth Rees was forced to Re - Submit a worse yet more accurate correct version.

Gareth was keen to lie during the EPC as this property will become impossible rent under incoming laws.

A Surveyor has found in the Tennant's favour regarding various areas of disrepair , including penetrative and rising damp which Flat Homes diagnosed as 'condensation'.

Fight your ground in court like we did and get justice. It's the only reason we got our deposit back.

Buyers beware, please contact me for the full surveyors Report and environmental health report which show the poor condition of the property.

The Claim is in place and will continue to fight against Flat Homes untill the truth is clearly known by all. Plenty of Audio, video and photographic evidence is available.

I will post the surveyors Report as well for all to see. Audit failures and liars.

They have recently taken over management of the property I'm renting and they have been excellent in establishing an open communication with us tenants. They have been very proactive in making improvements to the property and are very prompt at responding to our requests/problems.
Having experience with other letting agents in Cardiff and being treated poorly Flat Homes has been a very welcome breath of fresh air, I really hope the positive experience my housemates and I are having is reflective of the rest of the tenants in properties they manage.
