David was incredibly helpful. He listened and then offered practical solutions to my issues in easy to understand language. He had great product knowledge and was very responsive. The whole experience of dealing with him was great. Thank you David!

So, this has been a bit of a story, with some highs and lows but Sterling have, on each occasion, tried to fix and overcome the issues which have arisen.

My story started on 6th November when I needed to get some pitch roof windows, flashing, underfelt collar and insulation collar. I looked at various sites and eventually came to Sterling as the price was pretty good and the delivery was advertised as overnight for the window and 3 days for the remaining items, except the collars which were shown as 20 days.

I contacted them via the Web contact form late in the evening to ask what the options were as I needed the items by Tue/Wed the following week. By 08.00 the next morning I had the reply from David saying the order could be fulfilled and delivered by Wed. I paid just under £800 for all the items in delivery.

The following day I got a mail from Joe advising that the collars needed to be sent from a different location but would still meet the deadline

The problem started with the courier (DX). I was pleased that it wasn't one of the other couriers available but although all the items were sent together, and they said they were going to deliver on Tuesday, nothing arrived (The depot is about 4 miles from me, but apparently the driver ran out of time and the items were scanned back into the depot). Next day, Wednesday, they delivered the flashing (bit beaten up, but OK) but no windows. Thursday they delivered one window.. Again a bit beaten up but glass is OK, and then said that other window was at the depot being checked for damage. Courier was a bit snarky and not real helpful with me, but in fairness I wasn't in the best mood either. Called back to David and overnight was arranged on a new window while DX decided whether they were going to deliver or not. New window did turn up this morning around 11 ish... Again pretty beaten up but glass appears OK. Courier shot off as quick as possible before I could answer the door.... I wanted to ask why they had flicked V's at the house when they drove past just before 08.00 this morning.... (I don't think they realised I was atop the scaffolding when they drove past and I recognised the van and the courier from the day before. But anyway, this review is about Sterling, not DX.... the positives out of this are that Sterling were truly exceptional in trying to meet the lead times, and resolve the problems that arose and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again... But I would want to pick up direct from the courier depot if it was a practical option

after changing my order several times there was no problem and zikari was extremely helpful through out and also gave us some very good prices and everything was delivered on the day as promised .

my order was a week and half overdue when I received was short of a velux ,delivery driver brought next day . Not so good this time but have had excellent service previously , sometimes it happens

Good to speak to a knowledgeable person on the phone and talk through options prior to placing the order.

David went above and beyond when I contacted him to ask if he could track me sets of velux flashings which were over 20 years old. Nothing was a problem he tracked them down, spending time looking for them and took the pressure off me being able to complete the job. They arrived with in 5 days and I was able to complete the job. Ordered a rooflight and flashing kit on a next day delivery on the 10th October, received no correspondence on delivery at all, tried to contact the customer helpline on numerous occasions but no-one answered the calls, eventually got through to JJ Roofing where apparently it was bought from to be told it was from another supplier. Cut a long story short, I still haven't received it two weeks later and still chasing it up today.

Good communication, they reviewed my order and found that I’d duplicated some of the accessories. Messaged me straight away, amended the order and refunded the overpayment.

2 roof lights and what a difference it makes.

I've used Sterling build and JJ Roofing for many years, as separate company's. now both connected still work very well for me. Placed two orders a couple of weeks ago, Zak picked up the calls on both occasions and handled them brilliantly. Sorted out the products ,and at a competitive price, need I say more ? 5 stars to Zak.

From my initial phone call, David was extremely helpful and advised me on the size/model of a replacement window that was required and our order was processed very efficiently. I was kept up to date on the delivery. I also had help ordering 2 blinds. Would definitely recommend.

David the website manager was amazing, gave me a call when he suspected I had ordered the wrong product, he was correct and saved me a headache on site, couldn't ask for better service 10/10.
