AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Sterling build as a company is dreadful- I had cancer when we took delivery of the roof light. they messed me about so much on timings my crew left site and I ended up having chemo in the morning and fitting the window in the afternoon and they couldn’t care and did nothing to help or fulfil their promises.
A few years later we had a technical issue and Dale was helpful and effective but the tech who came to mend the window was fantastic. A really nice, thoughtful and helpful guy; could not have been better. HOWEVER! The company used very spurious definitions to make sure the guarantee wasn’t called on, so apparently the chain that attaches the lift motor to the window is ‘electrical’ Another £700.

Well informed, Great Price.
Spoke to a very knowledgeable guy called Jamie who discussed all the different options available to me.
Arranged the delivery and kept me informed of dates etc. Also pointed out the Velux rewards scheme to get vouchers once your windows arrive - good to know.
Price was also better than what my builder could get locally.

Got help from David to sort out the problem with changing the Veluxs window opening with a electric power. Change from a top Solar system power to a electric power opening at the bottom of the frame. Works great .

Poor
Poor. I ordered the 3 VELUX Pro+ EDL FK08 2000 Slate Flashing with Insulation on the 3rd Dec with an estimated delivery date of 11th Dec. When it didn’t arrive, I contacted Sterling Build only to be informed the actual delivery date would be the 15th Jan!
If that was the case, Sterling Build should have contacted me to see if I still wanted to proceed with the order, but they didn’t.
As the roof build is now on hold for these items, I’ve been forced to cancel this order and go elsewhere.

I have been a customer of Sterlingbuild for many years and have always been pleased with their service. Recently, I placed two orders and was impressed with Zak’s excellent help over the phone, ensuring everything was sorted at a competitive price. David also provided outstanding support by advising me on a replacement window and assisting with ordering blinds. Although I faced a delivery mishap, Sterlingbuild was responsive, and the issue was eventually resolved. Overall, I continue to appreciate Sterlingbuild’s great customer service and would recommend them for their roofing and window solutions. 4 stars.
