I first made contact with Optimax, before surgery took place, almost a decade ago. I put it off. Having had the surgery, I genuinely don’t know why I waited so long. The team in Leeds are outstanding. Sophie put up with me for a long time, but remained patient and attentive throughout my experience. Anna, the optometrist was awesome! Fully looked after me and even though I bombarded her with questions, nothing was an issue. It was Leanne’s first day, on the day of my surgery, it felt she’d always been there.

In the theatre, the organisation and communication is military in its precision. I was nervous but felt in safe hands.

It turns out that it doesn’t hurt. There’s some suction on the eye ball but it’s by no means painful. Less than 20 seconds per eye and it’s all done; I was free to go.

I looked like Roy Orbison for a few days in my sunglasses, but apart from that; it was fab.

From start to finish, my experience with Optimax Leeds has been perfect. I have just been discharged with perfect vision, within 24 hours my eyesight was better than 20/20. I couldn't recommend them enough. I have forgotten what it is like to wake up and need glasses or contacts now!

I had a double lens replacement performed on the 12 July. The consultations in the weeks leading up to surgery were straightforward and professional. The surgery itself was pain free and incredibly quick. The results are nothing short of astonishing. My right eye which as a significant astigmatism, and has never been particularly useful, is now performing better than I could have hoped. My left eye which was deteriorating, is working better than ever with sharper, clearer vision. I was advised before the surgery that I would still need to wear glasses for reading. I do, however my prescription has gone from +2.5 to about +1.0 (and is still improving).
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the process.

I had my cataracts and lense replacement done at Optimax’s Glasgow Clinic on 1/5/25 and 22/5/25. The experience was excellent from the first contact with the staff through to the procedure itself. Everyone was very friendly and put me at ease and the procedure itself was a success! It’s excellent having my vision back and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Optimax Glasgow to anyone!

I got multi focal lens replacement 9 days ago at the Glasgow clinic. The surgery itself was carried out by Mr Tariq Saboor who is in my eyes the best. Pun intended. My eyes are presently 20/20 and nearly 20/15 even at this early stage.

This is a review about my experience at Optimax Finchley Road, London. I just had my second aftercare appointment, I had Lasik surgery on both eyes exactly two weeks ago. The procedure was textbook perfect thanks to the experience and expertise of the medical staff led by Radwan Almousa, who took the time to explain everything in detail and to address all my concerns. My distance vision is now as expected and I'm enjoying not wearing glasses for the first time in years. The procedure was quick and painless; the healing process has not being too bad at all; I was out and about the day after having surgery, wearing super dark glasses and hat, of course. What made my go for Optimax after also consulting two other reputable providers in London, was the fact that Optimax quoted the most competitive price and offered a free-interest finance plan; but in all honesty, its key advantage was the top-notch, personalised and caring customer service displayed by the staff, from the moment I walked into the clinic. I'm impressed by the high level of attention and professionalism that they demonstrated, led by the ultra courteous Assmaa, the acting manager, and super kind Hassam and Jazmin, they all have above average customer service skills, are super respectful and with a very clear communication style. I met several optometrists and they too were very professional and friendly. To summarise, I'm super happy that I choose Optimax Finchley Rd for my Lasik surgery. I would rate the whole experience 5 stars!

I had Lens Replacement Surgery at Optimax Glasgow. A very good experience, indeed, from initial contact - the information I received, no pushy sales techniques and a very professional, friendly and helpful service from the clinic staff, the nurses, the opticians and the surgeon. Great value for money, very competitive price compared to other similar organisations. And a clinical outcome that has exceeded my expectations. I opted for mono vision which means my vision both for reading and for distance is significantly better than when I was previously wearing contact lenses. The aftercare has also been excellent, with clear instructions and regular check-ups to make sure all is well. I would highly recommend Optimax Glasgow to anyone considering LRS or Laser Surgery!

From the initial consultation to the surgery I found the whole experience excellent. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending the Cardiff branch to anyone considering having surgery.

Experience with optimax was excellent, from first meeting to last sign off.
The staff at reception were first class, the opticians were excellent and the facilities were 5 star.
The process for lens replacement was quick and only lasted less than 10 minutes per eye,
The end result was amazing, its like rolling the clock back 20 years before I needed reading glasses.
A couple of things to watch out for, make sure you arrange to be picked up after the procedure. Be careful when driving in the dark as you can have a halo effect around lights but this improves within a couple of months.
Interest free payments are very helpful, makes it cost effective.
You will keep reaching for your glasses for a good few weeks

I had lens replacement on Wednesday at Optimax in Cardiff. My surgeon was Mr Kieran Darcy.

I was in the clinic just over 2 hours, the staff and Mr Darcy were lovely and friendly. The procedure was quick and painless.

My vision was blurred after the procedure but it didn’t take long for things to improve. By the evening I could read emails and messages on my phone without glasses.

I returned to the clinic the following day for my check up and could read the eye chart, even the bottom line! The optician confirmed my vision is now 20/20.

I am absolutely delighted with the results, and can not thank the staff and Mr Darcy enough.

I was recently referred by the NHS to Optimax in Newton Abbot, Devon, for cataract surgery.
I underwent the necessary initial assessments, to learn that cataract surgery could not be offered to me due to some other minor eye problems.
I have since been referred elsewhere.
I would like to say that the staff at Optimax were professional, friendly, and empathetic.
I was greeted with smiles on arrival, and every step of the process was explained to me.
I would like to thank the team at Newton Abbot, and those at Optimax Head Office, for dealing with my onward referral with speed, efficiency, and understanding.
