From start to finish the team at Leeds were professional, honest and very knowledgeable. The procedure was simple and straightforward (I had lens replacement) and was very quick. It is amazing to be able to see without glasses and contact lenses and I was able to drive after two days.

I had LASIK surgery at Optimax Peterborough in January 2025. It’s now October, and although my eyes are better than they were during the worst parts of my recovery, they are still worse than they were before surgery. I genuinely wish I had never gone ahead with it.
On the day of the procedure, I was left waiting for hours. Immediately after the surgery, there was an issue with my right eye. This was never properly explained at the time and only added to my anxiety. The aftercare that followed was inconsistent and reactive. I had to repeatedly push for help when things began to deteriorate, including multiple urgent visits, phone calls that went unanswered, and being passed between clinicians.
My right eye developed DLK (inflammation under the flap), then an epithelial erosion, followed by extreme dry eye and light sensitivity. I was unable to drive, unable to work, and unable to care for my child for weeks. My son had to live with his grandparents while I recovered, for nearly two months. I had to rely on work colleagues and family to get to appointments and was in constant pain for a long time. Even now, I suffer from dry eye and light sensitivity.
Optimax’s internal complaints process was dismissive. They eventually admitted communication could have been better but refused to take accountability for how distressing and disruptive this experience has been. They denied that anything went wrong, despite me needing months of follow-up, steroids, and support.

I’m writing this review 6 weeks after my surgery. I had my consultation at the Peterborough practice and everyone there was super friendly. I had my surgery at the Leicester practice. The doctor (I think their name was Dr Bohjani) was amazing. They were so reassuring and patient and talked me through everything they were doing. Honestly I wish I’d contacted them sooner. The surgery went great. They give you great aftercare advice. And I was able to see comfortably the next day. I’ve had a couple of check ups and my vision is perfect.

Just been discharged from the Brighton surgery after LASEK treatment and I couldn’t be happier. Great service from start to finish. The treatment itself was really smooth and the surgeon explained the whole process. I experienced high levels of discomfort for the first 24 hours but this was managed by the pain drops. I was back to day driving after a week and night driving after a month. Thank you to everyone at Optimax Brighton.

I had lens replacement at the Maidstone clinic March 2025. I have now been discharged with 20/20 vision after wearing glasses for 20 years.

I cannot fault the service I received. There was no hard sell and all the staff I encountered went above and beyond.

I had Lens Replacement Surgery on August 9th. The results are great. Before I had to wear both reading and distance glasses, drove me crazy going between two sets of glasses. Now I can see perfectly. Yes you do get a halo from headlights at night but it's not that bad and I just wear anti glare glasses. Small price to pay for getting 20/20 vision back.
The staff were all amazing couldn't be more helpful and caring. Answered all questions and didn't push you into a decision. I highly recommend Optimax.

I was recommended by a friend and I did my laser eye surgery LASIK last 3 weeks and I gotta say it was so worth it and wished I took it sooner. I was recommended by a friend who had lens replacement, I was all geared up for this approach but after my initial and free consultation and series of eye tests it was recommended that as I still had 20/20 reading vision, the best treatment would be LASIK surgery on my dominant eye only, I cannot fault the whole process from start to finish. Complete professionalism, great communications, welcoming and supportive staff which make up the team. Dr Samual who carried out the procedure was thorough, pleasant and completely sympathetic and has a way of putting you at ease.
The entire team on the day were really good, really encouraging and I have only had my first check up and the eye is still healing but I have 20/20+ vision and was able to read the smallest line with ease.
The aftercare and time spent explaining the medication drops was second to none, although maybe not a deciding factor there is a great range of 0% finance options available so it’s attractive and available to all.

I had lens replacement surgery yesterday at Optimax in Leicester. The complete experience from first appointment to the day after surgery check-up today was faultless. The whole team made me feel welcome and reassured for this life-changing operation. The surgery itself was completely pain-free both during and after surgery. The surgery lasted only 30 minutes in total for both lenses to be replaced, and I found the experience to be almost a non-event with calm reassurances from the surgeon throughout relaxing me.
From a lifetime of wearing glasses and contact lenses, I walked out of the clinic with great eyesight - just miraculous! My vision improved even more overnight and I am looking forward to a lifetime without the need for contact lenses or glasses.
I could not be more impressed and can recommend Optimax wholeheartedly for this important decision to improve your vision.
