Amazing jewellery company

Arrived so quick! Couldn’t believe it, I ordered the sliver spiderweb belly bar and it fits perfectly, looks gorgeous and it’s sparkles like crazy, can’t get over how beautiful it is, will absolutely be buying Again! Thank you ❤️🤍❤️

Iv shopped with Illusivejewels many times over the past few months I even had an order mixed up which was immediately sorted and replacement sent - each order Iv reached a lovely free gift - fast shipping and gorgeous jewellery I have purchased for myself and family members my go to shop I would 💯 recommend 🤩 fab customer service, go get your jewellery ladies and gents 😍

Having read some of the reviews I was quite sceptical about ordering. Well all I can say is 100% glad I did so far. Item was much better than I was expecting and excellent delivery time.

Don’t rely on delivery

I bought a necklace which was confirmed as dispatched on the 5th December, Royal Mail still haven’t received the item to deliver so I won’t get this in time. I haven’t had any communications from illusive on the delay, I prefer using small businesses for the personal service, unfortunately illusive don’t seem to care once you’ve paid them. I expect a refund once I can get in contact.

I wanted to clarify that the necklace you purchased was a pre-order, which was stated on our website. These typically ship out after 2 weeks from the order date; our website stated they would be shipped out on the 18th of December.

We were never contacted by you prior to the review, or after. If we had been, we would have been happy to explain the pre-order details and clarify the shipping timeline, so you wouldn’t have felt the need to leave a negative review.

Absolutely horrible jewellery

Absolutely horrible jewellery. I ordered a nose ring only for it to be the size of a hoop earring, absolutely massive and hangs down to the top of my lip. Looks absolutely ridiculous. Should have been an earring not a nose ring. Asked for a refund as I didn’t open the package that the actual nose ring came in, it is still sealed and I was told I couldn’t. Waste of my money and will never be ordering again. Definitely wouldn’t recommend any of the nose rings unless you want to look stupid.

I’m sorry to hear that the nose ring did not meet your expectations. The piece you ordered is our best selling nose ring and has only received positive feedback from many customers. Our brand ethos is all about offering unique, distinctive jewellery that stands out, and we understand that it's not for everyone.

We do not accept returns on piercing jewellery for hygiene reasons, as stated on our website. Also, if the packaging was still sealed, you wouldn’t have been able to assess the size or how the nose ring would look on you.

In addition to this-
I was advised to return the item.
After lots of email without any response after 2 months the parcel was lost by Royal Mail. You cannot compensate for jewellery lost from Royal Mail unless it is a special delivery (I was not asked to post this special delivery I was asked to post as a large letter- I was unable to send it as a large letter therefore sent as a singed for parcel) a large letter with jewellery contents is not compensated by Royal Mail. I was ignored by the rude seller again for a period of time. She has refused to refund my item- that was incorrect, return lost in post (service I was advised to use). I was then asked to lie and say to Royal Mail something else was in the parcel..

Please do not buy from this seller- it will be a big mistake. This is definitely not a business just a money making scam.

The quality materials and incorrect item received yet awaiting on a response. Have had to raise this with klarna. Very unprofessional. Will definitely not purchase from this store again.

The packaging is so cute I’m really pleased with how it came especially as it was gifted. I ordered the items in Black Friday and they came really Quickly as well as great quality for the money and also came with a free gift which is stunning! great jewellery and lovely reasonable business owner(s)

i love this brand so much and the jewellery is amazing but i was given two discount codes (one on a card in my last order and another on the website after i put my email in) and neither worked but apart from that the jewellery is amazing and i’ve just ordered another belly bar x

update: they emailed me and let me know that they disable discount codes on black friday due to the huge sales that are already on, which is fair enough considering some belly bars are discounted from about £18 to £10, 5 stars x

Really poor quality items and customer…

Update: I have the emails, and even your responses to customers are rude. It’s always easy to blame others for your lack of or poor service. Maybe you should just take accountability and not treat customers poorly, and these situations wouldn’t arise and you wouldn't be shocked when your receive negative reviews.
I received really poor quality items and customer service. I initially emailed the company, sending photos of the faulty items, and then messaging on FB. I’m yet to receive a response or acknowledgement.

Update: do not use this company the owner Layla has a disgusting attitude which you can see from her responses to genuine customers. She finally promised me a replacement but over a week had passed and I contacted the company again. She now said she would not send the replacement because I had left a negative review based on a factual experience and was extremely rude. She advised me she will now only refund me once I have returned the faulty item, which I have every intention of doing when I have revived my item or refund. She also comments on the fact she is running a small business and is not happy with paying customers reviewing the company negatively. She has also then commented on other reviews I’ve left based on poor experiences.
Quote from her first response -
‘I am so sorry about this!!! Thank you for sending this over to me. Unfortunately, it looks like you have received a faulty necklace which may have not been plated properly, sorry to cause any disappointment as you should have never received any jewellery in this condition! I will raise this issue with my manufacturers immediately.’
Quote from her response after seeing my review -
‘While I respect your right to leave reviews, I kindly ask you to bear in mind how negative reviews can significantly impact small businesses like mine. In this case, your review was posted before I had the opportunity to respond to your initial email, and it does not fairly reflect the effort given to resolve this. I believe nothing you said in the review is true. I noticed that you have left over 50 one-star reviews for other companies, which shows a pattern in your actions, so I won’t take it personally. After your previous email, I would like to refund you instead of sending a replacement necklace. Please return both the faulty necklace and the gift you received (with your order number inside) using the label provided and send over the receipt when you’ve sent it. Once I receive the return, I will issue a full refund which will land in your account within 5 working days

I’ll be posting the photos of the item I received, which were sent to the company on both FB & email hence her first response. I even sent screenshots to Laya after she called me a liar about the dates and times I had contacted her company & she still feels justified in her responses. I would also like to point out that yes, mistakes are happy but as a small business would you expect to receive an item that was extremely damaged? This was also a gift for my niece whose birthday is not passed.

Hi, I’d like to clarify the situation for anyone reading this review.

From the first email i'd replied to you acknowledging the fault with the item you received and immediately apologised. I offered you a replacement and provided a free returns label as we needed the faulty item to be returned for investigation. Sometimes mistakes can happen, which i tried to resolve.
We agreed a replacement would be sent out when it was back in stock the following week. I then saw the 1 star review you'd left (before the update) and explained that i felt it was harsh as you'd left it within 24 hours of contacting me about the issue despite us having a 48 hour window for replies, that reviews like this can affect small businesses and asked you to consider updating the review following on from our apology and resolving the issue as i felt it was an unfair reflection.

Your responses were unnecessarily rude. You said you were here to argue with me, that i have sent you shoddy jewellery, that i am a disgrace and have a disgusting attitude, accused me of calling you a liar and said it was upsetting and not fair for me to ask you to return the item (this is standard practice).
As a small business owner and human being, i'd rather avoid these situations and i felt it was clear that there was no resolution that would have satisfied you, so i decided i would instead refund you.

I also want to add that I did not call you a liar. You claimed that my response fell outside the promised timeframe, so I provided factual proof that you received a reply within the 48 hour window. This was shared to clarify the situation, not to insult.

While I respect your right to leave a review, posting a one star review before giving me the chance to resolve this felt unfair. I pointed out that from the other 51 negative reviews you left, it is common for you to be unsatisfied by all businesses, big or small.

You later asked when your replacement would be sent out, but you still had not returned the faulty item. I reiterated that a full refund would be issued as soon as the item and free gift were returned. You then opened a dispute with Clearpay, who also confirmed that the item needed to be returned. Two weeks later, I finally received the return and refunded you immediately.

I believe we did our best to resolve this situation, however i'm sorry that you had a negative experience with us.

Absolutely love this company!! I wear my jewellery everyday and it still looks brand new. Very good communication and fast delivery!

I recently placed an order (Friday) and selected 24 hour shipping. I received no order confirmation email (thankfully I screenshotted it!) and on top of that my order still hasn’t arrived. I placed an order for ONE cherry belly ring. Ridiculous

Hi, you placed your order at 10pm on Friday night, which is not during working hours, so it was packed and shipped on the following Monday. We ship orders only on weekdays, with a 3pm cut off for same day shipping. The tracked 24 is the service Royal Mail provide once shipped. It states this on our shipping policy.
Every customer is sent an order confirmation email; this may have gone to your spam inbox.
This is an unfair review; we sent your order on the next working day and we also didn’t receive any communication from you before this review.

100% will be ordering more

Bought a Dior necklace and after wearing it for the second time the diamonds fell out the o, understandably these things can happen I got a free gift with this order also, stunning cherry earrings! After emailing to advice of the issue with the necklace i was sent a new one and another free gift also which I did not expect with this been a replacement! Thank you soo much for been so helpful and generous! I’ll 100% be ordering more thank you!

bad quality and customer service

I’ve ordered multiple bars from here and all of them have now broken (including the replacements). I was going to just leave it but after the experience i had and now my replacement breaking i feel as though i have to comment on it. it’s a shame as i like supporting small businesses and my first experience emailing them was great. However, when 2 bars from my second order broke i was told i could get them replaced (i now understand that was nice as it wasn’t within there warranty but why make promises u cant keep). my replacement then got lost in the post and after emailing multiple times asking about its location i got a response after about 10 weeks. I then had to wait for a case to be opened with royal mail and after another month they found it was to late to get compensation. By that time another bar had broke but i was told i couldn’t get that replaced too. It then took another month to get the replacements sent out but they sent me the bar they told me they couldn’t replace and not one of the original bars. so disappointing after waiting about 5 months to never received one of the bars, especially considering the money i had spent. But they ‘wouldn’t pay another £3 for postage’.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear about the issues with your order and replacements.
As you emailed me 3 months after receiving your order this was not in warranty as our policy is 30 days, I replaced them to avoid disappointment but unfortunately Royal Mail lost the package so we had to open a claim, we're unable to do anything until we have a response to the claim which does take a few weeks. I resent your package when i was able to and sent the bars we had available and in stock to avoid any further delays.
Unfortunately, there were some complications here, i understand this is not ideal so i apologise about this situation.

Stunning jewellery but poor quality and customer service

I originally bought a belly button bar which arrived quickly and in good condition. I absolutely loved the piece and thought it was an affordable price considering this company suggest they are “water proof” and “dont tarnish or discolour”. However not long after, the jewellery snapped and the butterfly charm came off. After emailing this problem was quickly resolved and I was sent a new one. However again not long after this the same thing happened except this time the WHOLE butterfly part fell off, it had tarnished and had also coloured my skin green. The main part of the bar seems to have not tarnished as much so I believe its jjst the dangly part which needs to be made of a better quality material. I had followed advice from the brand and took it out when swimming and bathing and only left it in to shower, so this should NOT have happened. I emailed again and this time the reply stated that nothing could be done as it had been over 30 days, and in the email she said that the jewellery needed to be well looked after in order to last, which in my opinion felt like she was trying to blame me for the broken jewellery, which I found slightly unprofessional. Had this jewellery have been cheaper I could be more understanding of this, however I have had belly bars which have cost me less than £5 and have lasted longer than these ones! Such a shame because I really love the look of the jewellery from this brand.

We only have a selection of belly bars that are 100% stainless steel and waterproof - i just wanted to clarify as lots of our designs have stainless steel bars but with PVD plated pendants which is why we advise to follow our aftercare instructions.
You contacted us after 2 months and unfortunately we cannot offer refunds past our 30 day warranty as we are a small business and we have to follow our policies. We’re truly sorry to hear that your piece didn’t meet your expectations & thank you for the feedback.

Cheap, Faulty Materials and Terrible Customer Service

I ordered a ‘Dior’ necklace (23rd May 2024) from the Illusive Jewels website, and it tarnished within a week. When I contacted the owner, Layla, she agreed to send a replacement and promised a full refund if the new necklace was also poor quality.

The replacement necklace arrived (20th June 2024) with numerous issues: it was missing an item, the writing was backward, and the material was cheap (not like the images on their website) I immediately requested a refund.
Layla asked me to send the item back tracked to process the refund. After several delays (due to Layla being on holiday and her mum unable to handle issues), I was informed that their returns system was poorly managed and they struggled to identify my return. Which I don’t expect when spending so much money on a faulty item.

( I sent necklace back on the 10th July 2024) I asked for the return shipping cost to be covered since I received another faulty item. Layla agreed to cover only £3.50 of the £5.20 return shipping cost shown on my receipt.

I cited consumer rights laws which states ‘If you want to return your faulty goods for a refund, a repair or replacement, you should be refunded the delivery cost you paid to get it sent to you. If you paid for enhanced or express delivery and you’re returning the faulty goods early on, this will also be refunded to you’.

Layla falsely claimed I returned the necklace due to changing my mind, ignoring the clear evidence of the product's defects and therefore refused to cover the full cost.

Additionally, I received a free gift with my initial order. Layla didn't initially mention the need to return it but later refused my refund until I returned the promotional item. Legally, I was not obligated to return the free gift for a refund.

After much back and forth about consumer rights and their poor understanding of the law, I was eventually told I would be refunded the cost of the necklace and £3.50 for the return shipping (not the full amount I paid). Which later on when I received the refund she never sent me the delivery costs as her excuse was that it cost her £2.70 both times to ship the necklaces out- which shouldn’t be the customers issue as the necklaces should have been in good condition when sent out. I was then informed it would take a further 5-7 working days to process the refund.

I am extremely disappointed with their customer service and lack of knowledge about consumer rights. This issue could have been resolved quickly and calmly.

Do not waste your time or money on this company.

Hi Millie, when you contacted us regarding the issue with your necklace we dealt with this promptly and apologised about the situation as we had unfortunately had some issues with the quality of this stock which you kindly understood and agreed to a replacement.
As you were not happy with the replacement i agreed for you to send it back so i could issue you a refund; all was fine until i stated that we do not pay the shipping cost for returns (most companies do not have free returns).
I wasn't able to refund you until we received the return but there was no order number in the package and as we had another return for the same necklace i had to make sure i was refunding the correct customer. Once we processed the refund it can take around a week for it to show in your bank and unfortunately we cannot control that.
As you wanted to return your necklace we also expected the return of the free gift as this was only eligible for customers who spent £50, which you hadn't and as a small business i feel as though it is fair to feel upset that the customer has has received a full refund but kept another piece of our jewellery for free.
Sorry for any delays in getting this sorted however i was on holiday which was stated on my website; i run the business on my own and had my mums help only with sending orders during this time.
I apologise that you were not happy with our service.
