Customer Service Useless
I placed an order for several Skinceutical products. After placing the order and several days, I received an email stating the order is delayed. After several more days, I contacted customer service via chat to check when I could expect the order since I am heading back north in a week and a half. The agent I was transferred to said the order would be shipped soon. Since that was not the answer I was seeking, I asked again and the agent stated I would receive an email showing when it was shipped. I shared that I would be leaving the ship to location next week and the agent stopped responding.

Terrible customer service. Does not communicate promptly about delays. Offers nothing for the inconvenience! Very unethical, charged me for expedited shipping but did not do so!

Great Store - Needs a Few Tweaks
Dermstore's website was easy to navigate around and find what I needed. They held a large selection of the product line I use (Medik8).
A skincare product recommendation quiz would have been nice. If there is one, it needs to be much easier to find because I certainly didn't see it.

Great variety on one site

I had to repeat myself & my requests multiple times. The team was not interested in reviewing the chat details provided and clearly seemed to be working from a template. The response time was not appropriate for the issue. 2-3 days is absurd to address a quality issue. Also the chat team was short, unhelpful, and unsympathetic.

Dermstore doesn't have a good return policy at all. Don't try things for the first time here.
Dermstore doesn't have a good return policy. Items have to be opened/brand new/pristine to be eligible for return. This means you should NEVER try a new product from DERMSTORE. If you don't like it, if the color on the website was very misrepresented, or the item patches on your skin, anything - you cannot return it. The normal pricing is also not competitive at all, so I don't know why you would buy from here and not elsewhere (for example NORDSTROM). Trying anything on DERMSTORE is a huge risk - if you don't like it, prepare to just waste your money and keep all of it. They say they have a "returns review policy" but it's very cumbersome (they want pictures, batch#, expiry date, what your complaint is) and those get sent "for review" and there is no guarantee they will agree with you that the items did not work for you. Yes, THEY will decide if your dissatisfaction is legitimate or not. I would purchase from other places, all of their items are available elsewhere. If they are having a sale, and you are purchasing items you ALREADY know and love, then you can take advantage of that sale price. Otherwise, steer clear.

Order Delay Doesn't Allow Cancellation
They sent an email on August 15th stating that my order is delayed without offering any expected shipping date. When I contacted them to cancel the order, they informed me they could not cancel the order and could only offer a return/recall shipment option without any update on when the item might ship. The manager was unable to assist because he had no authority over the system. Why would they not be able to cancel an order (readily available elsewhere) when they obviously don't even have it available to ship? Seems scammy. To update, on August 17th customer service contacted me to resolve the problem, though it seems it would be easier for all involved to simply allow cancellations when orders are delayed.
