I had a query which was answered online. Prior to that my experience with telephone calls were very helpful.

Who is running this service trying to get through to these people is ridiculous
They ring you up on random
Numbers how do I know it’s not spam ? I’m trying to sort out my mid sold ppi?

Very poor customer service. This company did a hard credit search on my credit file. I queried this as I don't have any finance with close brothers. They checked their systems and agreed that they have none of my details on any of their systems. Even after giving my details again to there for clarification. To date they have yet to remove this search which they should do as its Incorrect Information. This is clarified by them having no applications from me at all. They also do not reply to emails after they have sent a response to me.

Therefore I rate this company 1 seat at best. Zero if I could as I have nothing to do with them yet they for some reason are allowed to leave a hard credit search on my file and not do anything about it even though they say I don't have any applications with them or that they can see any information about me at all on any of there computer systems

The level of customer service from this company is appalling. I have logged 2 complaints in 2 months due to this and they still haven’t been able to resolve the issue.
I have asked on many occasions for my payment date to be amended from the 1st of every month to the 15th due to circumstances changing. I am heavily pregnant and need to think about finances moving forward. I was told on multiple occasions the request had been submitted for the change and if there were any issues I would be contacted. I had no contact from anyone following this so assumed all was ok. I then went on to find they had applied for the payment on my original payment date due to there being an issue with the payment date request. I had then cleared the arrears on the account and was told it was going to be updated going forward.. to then find they had applied for the payment again on the original date. I am now the one left in a mess financially due to this company and the most they want to offer me is £50 compensation and tell me they can’t amend the date after all this stress and I need to make 2 months payments in one to get the account up to date and being able to amend the date due to their error. Absolute shambles of a company. I have had finance for 10 years and these have been the worst company by far. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

So i had a contract on 28th of june of finance approved and signed via a local car dealer which i never took it further since i called it off and cancelled the very next day on 29th of june within 14 days cooling off period with the dealer.
Upon checking with close brother after 10 days, it was still not cancelled. So i was told to speak to my car dealer as only he can get it cancelled, and i called the car dealer again and nothing happened for the next 20 days and was charged as per the direct debit set up, which could have been avoided if close brother had my contract cancelled on time so i paid for something i never took. Now it's been nearly 2 months which left me waiting on my refund. I have called them at least 10 times altogether and i was told to call us back for the refund. I called, and the customer services telling me that there is nothing mentioned that I'm getting a refund. Poor customer services and I'm still waiting for my refund and i would appreciate if someone could get back to arrange my money to be refunded. At least try to do the right thing and give me my money back.
Why it seems that close brother's finance waited for my initial time to finish so they can charge me??
I never had the car nor the money so why I'm paying for pre settlement?? It should be charged to the dealer as he has the finance money. This sounds fraud to me.

Close brothers sent me an email to say they are terminating my finance. I’ve been with them since 2023. I’m not sure if it’s a scam, can anyone confirm this is true?

To update my previous review; I contacted the company and they explained in detail what was happening. They do not work alongside Close Brothers any longer. The letter was confusing and j thought my insurance would stop but it doesn’t, my monthly payments will be taken out by a different company and my insurance will continue as normal…panic over!!!

Keep sending silly emails. It’s not my choice of finance it just that Van dealership wanted to use these guys I guess for the commission but they know how to get on your nerves with emails..

I called close brother’s finance, but that recorded message goes on for ages so I just left it..

i have phoned up reported my problems with the car i purchased the finance company told me to phone them if i had any more issues that is what I have done but the evidence i have sent to them are not acceptable even though everything is there in black and white. the complaint handling my case would not listen to me at all. very poor service.

Everything was absolutely great from start to finish and easy to understand

I received very poor response from my complaints investigation from April 9th 2026 until 13th August 2026 case handler engineer and dealer working together. No response my email .no response my phone call totally ungrateful service.0 star .even i sent out all relevant evidence but still not response by them

Very helpful and friendly. Straight forward good customer service. I was impressed with the company. Easy payment method I also paid the balance remaining after a year. I would definitely recommend this service

No issues with the finance. Paid up on time and no missed payments. Wanted to refinance a new car and got refused 🤷‍♂️ however walked into my building society and got a PL straight away.

Some times in life you need a helping hand when everything is thrown at you at once .
I needed a van quickly having thrown money at a vehicle that had done it's job and more.
Close Brothers financed my new van without any hassles or stress and every thing was crystal clear during the finance process.

i took out a finance agreement for my car in December 2025, i never missed a payment and i never had any issues or concerns with the agreement. I came into some extra cash and decided to clear the finance early, it was so easy and fast, Close Brothers were very helpful and gave me a settlement figure within 20 minutes. I paid the amount within 30 minutes and they confirmed receipt, then 2 days later they confirmed the have no financial hold on my car, it all mine now. Close Brothers are a very professional and friendly company to work with, i would use them again and recommend them to my family and friends in the future

Very quick and straightforward to secure the required finance for my new car.
