Close Brothers was very responsive and accommodating. Within a few days of identifying a car and paying the dealer a deposit, Callum quickly contacted the dealer and completed the financing paperwork. I'd certainly recommend them.

Really good service they helping me a lot when I had a problem plus explained everything to me friendly staff always happy to help with any issues

Impossible to get timely responses
All the responses I do get are auto responses. Don’t update you for anything. Just overall a horrific company to be in any type of agreement with.

Visited BEN KEMP LTD on a Sunday chose a car went into office to sort finance within 20min Close Brothers Group approved finance with a very competitive rate job done.

Was sent a letter saying my last payment was due this month of £98.76, they took out £123.76 instead.
Went to my agreement and it says I was in credit by £25, so I called them to say they took too much out. Phone call recorded by myself, gentleman on the phone said he would reimburse me but it would be paid into my account in 3 to 5 days .9 days later i called again recorded and asked why they had not put it back in ,they said the £25 was for a number plate change that was changed 2 years ago but I paid that 2 years ago over the phone when it was changed.
Then he tried to tell me it was for option to purchase fee, which was already included on the original loan as states on the letter they sent me. Also it was for £10 not £25, so another lie.
Get a letter from them this morning as I changed my number plate back after i had paid the last of my loan saying I owe another £25 for a plate change , but I change that after they took my last payment and it said I was in credit by £25.
I've emailed 4 times , no reply and numerous calls and they don't want to know
Avoid this company they are liars and theives.
Now having to go to the solicitors and ombudsman to get this mess sorted, as they are refusing to give me my completion papers, I was told I would have to wait 48 to 72 hours for my completion papers.

Well I waited up to 72 hours , no completion papers, Phoned again,call recorded as proof , completion papers will be sent in another 48 to 72 hours.
Emailed like they said to, Emailed back and will look at my complaint and the end of MAY, it is MARCH, what a joke.
Company is now changing its name to TRINITY BRIDGE, no good changing the name if they dint change their customer service.

I found closebrothers to be efficient and had no problem phone wise.
I've now took out a 2nd one with them after paying my first one off.

I recently bought a used car online on a "distance sale"
basis and paid a £2K deposit and £2,745 balance on finance with Close Bothers Motor Finance. Unfortunately, the car was not suitable and I activated the "14 day cooling off" UK law. The Close Brothers Motor Finance staff were exceptionally understanding and helpful in every way in resolving the issue and refunding my deposit. I thus very highly recommend Close Brothers Finance as a competitive and excellent all round source of finance.

You get given different and wrong information from staff and when you ask for answers that require them to steer away from their script they straight up refuse to acknowledge your questions. Should never have taken finance out with them. Avoid.

Absolutely shocking service. Wanted to VT my finance, they said that’s okay- every time I email it takes another 5 days to get back to me. Was told auction company would collect the car on Thursday and for myself to email close brothers finance back to confirm as there was an outstanding payment! Did this right away and no sign of the auction company due to close brothers lack of communication.

Booked a day off work to hand over the car and didn’t even turn up
