Had a contract with them for three…

Had a contract with them for three years went to look for a new agreement and they offered me a more expensive deal for the same thing! And they never followed it up!! Nothing! It was like they don’t need the business. And I never missed a payment!! on the first contract Crazy!!

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Close Brothers.

My direct debit payment initially failed, and I contacted the company straight away to explain that I was experiencing temporary financial difficulties and to ask about alternative payment options. I was advised to contact financial assistance, as the issue could not be resolved online.

I later called again to confirm that everything had been arranged correctly, but unfortunately it had not. I had to explain my situation once more, after which I was offered a revised payment plan. This included making a manual payment later in the month and adjusting the following payment to cover the missed amount. I agreed to this arrangement and received email confirmation.

Despite this agreement, my insurance policy was unexpectedly cancelled. When I contacted the company for clarification, I was not given a proper explanation—only told that the policy had been cancelled.

To make matters more frustrating, I have since made a payment and am still having to chase confirmation that it has been received and processed correctly.

This experience has been stressful and poorly handled. There appears to be a lack of communication between departments and a failure to honour agreed payment arrangements. I would expect better support and clearer communication, especially when a customer is proactively trying to resolve a financial issue.
I hope this matter is reviewed and addressed promptly.

Bought a van through close bros

Bought a van through close bros, the van broke down twice in first week, then when i discovered it had a bent mot on it, i reported to trading standards, the dealership i bought it from, then came to my place of work and were caught red handed on cctv stealing the van, i rejected the van after that, which is around 8 weeks ago, close brothers have done nothing, apart from ring me and pester for the payments, i have just had to make the second payment today on a van i dont have, after that i was transfered and they kept me on the phone waiting for a hour and 5 mins only to tell me the one person that can deal with this complaint is "on the phone, " then in the same breath "and i dont know when she will be back off lunch" so 8 week later even after they wrote to me to tell me my complaint against the company was upheld, im still my deposit out of pocket and i have now had to make a second payment, very strange how they have no one to answer the phones for over an hour, but plenty of people to call you carrying on for money that i shouldnt have to pay as i dont have, and havent had my van for 8 week, and i might add, this company ows me 1000s anyway , for their dishonest over charging on the finance agreements since 2007, disgraceful company, you need to look elsewhere for finance, this company and the people iv dealt with are dreadfully incompetent and couldnt care less

Absolutely ridiculous and incompetent…

Absolutely ridiculous and incompetent company that keep sending me threatening text messages, threatening to close my account even though my account is paid and up to date.ive got enough problems in life and this is sending me over the edge.

Extortionate Settlement fee!

My husband and I have used close brothers a couple of times and cannot fault them. Everything was smooth,quick and easy.
we would highly recommend them to friends. So we decided to use them again which was a massive mistake! We took out the loan on February 25 and all has been smooth,great customer service however we are able to settle the loan and they sent a settlement figure and want to charge us 3 and a half thousand pound early settlement fee! We are in shock and going through the complaints process!

I cleared my car finance in full. Struggled to get a receipt from Close Brothers, after making several calls to request one. Even making one in the car showroom ehen buying a new car! Each time I got a different response. I had to buy my old car back from the dealer before collecting my new car. I gave made a formal complaint and resent it twice. So far Close Brothers have not responded. I'm disgusted and will keep pestering them. Never again
