Easy to check the car in earlier than thought, only taking a few moments, friendly helpful staff, with updates on cars progress on its service, good health check app on car, with video from the technician working on the car, only issue was phone signal in dealership which hampered payment to garage but that was a minor issue. excellent service from vw citigate always as, i’ve had two other cars from them!

Great experience with Citygate
I had a great experience with Citygate. Booking a service appointment at Brentford was very easy on a call and I was impressed with the service delivered by Clyde DSouza who received the vehicle, listened and sorted out some minor issues for me with the technical team and kept me updated through the day via calls and emails. Will definitely book my next service here.

Citygate VW Watford were very good at…
Citygate VW Watford were very good at selling me a car but when there was a problem after the sale, they didn’t want to know. They supplied a faulty spare key and despite numerous phone calls, the issue is still not sorted out and I don’t have a spare key which works even though I have put in new battery.
Very poor customer service post sale.

As soon as the vehicle service and MOT was complete, Isabel messaged me promptly to collect. I am really taken aback by the fantastic customer service. Isbael is a true shining asset of VW. One thing I did not like was the loud music.
One thing I did not like was the loud music which interfered with my reading.
The assistant who brought the bill was helpful in advising me how to update my satnave in my car.
And was very polite.
We enjoyed the coffee while we waited and the car returned nice and clean.
Great experience
Efficient, attentive and pleasant sales staff. Detailed subject- knowledge, attention paid to our comfort with refreshments regularly offered, comfortable seating ensured etc.
The sales rep (Niik) went out of his way to get the exact model we required for our test run and to answer all questions comprehensively.
The new car was ready for pick up within a few days and we were given a comprehensive tour and explanation of all the controls and he set up our phones for us too.
Booked in early for an MOT
Booked in early for an MOT. Arrived at 8.00am and went for a coffee. Car passed with no advisories. Added bonus of a 34 point check including a video inspection and a wash & vac. All done by 10.30 and great value for £54.85!
Serious Concerns About Citygate Slough – No Evidence, Poor Conduct, and Unacceptable Behaviour
I am leaving this review specifically regarding Citygate Slough, and I hope senior management at Citygate Group see this.
I brought my Cupra Born in for a warranty assessment for water ingress in the rear light unit — a sealed component. The dealership rejected the warranty claim but provided no evidence whatsoever. No photos, no technician notes, no diagnostic report, and no explanation of how water supposedly entered a sealed unit.
When I visited on 16 May to ask for clarification, the service manager refused to speak with me, saying he was “too busy”. The service advisor who dealt with me was polite and professional, but clearly following instructions and unable to answer basic technical questions.
I was then told I needed to pay a diagnostic fee that was already under dispute with Cupra UK. After I explained that withholding my vehicle would be unlawful, I was informed (via the advisor) that if I took my own car during the dispute, I would be “not welcome back”. I later received an email confirming they would refuse future service.
To make matters worse, a staff member made an inappropriate and insensitive comment to my friend, who has a visual impairment, saying “maybe you shouldn’t be driving” in front of other customers.
This experience shows:
No transparency
No evidence to support their diagnosis
Poor customer handling
A refusal by management to engage
A threat to refuse future service
An inappropriate comment toward a disabled customer
This is not the standard expected from an authorised Cupra retailer or from a group with Citygate’s reputation. I am now escalating the matter to Volkswagen Group UK.
Small repairs…
My car needed a couple of small repairs. The service team were understanding & helpful, in particular Natalia who co-ordinated this work and kept me informed throughout the process. Replacement parts were obtained quickly and the repairs done soon after. All carried out a reasonable cost.
