I have now stayed here 3 times visiting my friend and have been so impressed by the light fully equipped guest room with its comfortable bed and clean en-suite room. The helpful, friendly approach of the lodge manager is a bonus.

we stayed here in March and had a fantastic stay, fully equipped apartment since then we returned in August 2026 and they have brand new beds. Sharon was amazing and helped us with anything we needed.
will be back soon. great stay.

I have lived at Worthington lodge 7 years. I have made some marvelous friends here. Our lodge manager Liz is very helpful and kind and if we need assistance Liz will always do her best to help. Thank you Liz

My visit to Saffron Lodge was excellent. The lodge is in a great location walking distance to Saffron Walden town centre and a large Tesco and Lidl.
Liz, the manager, was welcoming and extremely helpful.

Good location, parking, good-sized room, clean, comfortable, pleasant manager.

Very comfortable stay in Southampton, it was great to catch up with a dear friend.
Great facilities, despite being only 5mins from town centre accommodation is very quiet .

In response to the reply from Churchill firstly regarding the lift we pay high maintenance fees to you we do not have a say in the companies employed and the lift has been out of action for well over a week and it is only hoped that it will be repaired w/c 7 Sep how are people supposed to manage? I have to carry my dog up and down as he cant see properly. We had one letter saying that we should help each other and putting the ones on us. I'm sorry but Churchill is responsible not the residents. Ive shown this letter to multiple people who all say it is very patronising.

I was told told that they (relatives who in herit) can use laundry. Which of course is ridiculous as they are not residents and the laundry is for residents only. If you allow 1 relative you have to allow all.

Yes relatives of course can visit the flat especially to clear out but when people are taking groceries and clothes in on a weekly basis, going there multiple times every day and running baths at 2.00am, visiting the building at 2 am and nothing is coming out I'll leave people to make up their own mind. All I can say is that when I show people the email I had in response to my complaint they again said it is patronising nonsense and obviously I picked the wrong retirement flats.

I've lived in a Churchill lodge for nearly 4 years and its not nice. We got burgled in May they took the tv in the lounge the area manager was good on this occasion I have to say. The police said we need cctv but Churchill know better, the front door has such a gap you can put your fingers between them this has been due for replacement for months and they're still stalling. The lift has now been broke for a week which means some people on the top floor cant get out and those on the ground floor cant get to the laundry. We haveno idea when it will be fixed. They apologise but given the fees we are charged and the fact people are stranded we are not impressed. It also seems if someone passes away because charges are still being paid by the estate the whole family can bring their washing to the laundry that's children, grand children, cousins, aunts ,uncles yet the laundry is for residents only. I'm guessing all our families can bring theirs as well.

If you're happy with the above then this is for you. Just a warning relatives of a deceased owner can come in and out all times of the day and night at 2am, 3am run baths then whatever there age, bring in groceries and clothes but that does not constitute living there

We stayed at Charrington Lodge guest suite in Oxted - as my mum used to live in Oxted before moving into her lovely Churchill living property in Honiton. The room was lovely, very nice home from home and lovely for mum tk catch up with her old friends and neighbours. Thanks Tina and Tina for arranging!

My mum moved to Sapphire Lodge after more than 40 years living in our family home, so it was a huge change for her. She absolutely loved her time living at Sapphire and really enjoyed the independence it gave her.

The staff were fantastic. They always went above and beyond, and were consistently helpful, friendly and respectful. Mum genuinely came to see them as friends, which says so much about the warm and welcoming atmosphere at Sapphire Lodge.

It was a wonderful place for Mum to live, giving her the independence she valued while also having friendly staff around when she needed them.

We couldn’t have wished for a better place for her, and I would highly recommend Sapphire Lodge to anyone looking for independent living in a friendly, welcoming environment.

David the Lodge Manager greeted us and explained the Lodge features and its location which we found very helpful. We were very pleased to use the small fridge in the guest suite room. Our room was immaculate with a high standard of facilities and decoration. Overall we had a delightful stay in a lovely location.

Stayed in the guest suite at Hale Lodge in Littlehampton, it’s a great facility and good value.

Well appointed guest room, very comfortable. Had everything you could want from TV to fridge, coffee or cold drinks even wine. Also very quiet.
Would thoroughly recommend and thanks to David and Heather who look after everything so well.

My husband and I have recently moved into Elgar Lodge in Malvern and we would like to give a huge shout out for our manager Mark. He hasn’t been here very long but is fantastic at his job and has a cheerful, positive manner. He will always go out of his way to help the residents, we couldn’t wish for better.

I went to visit Hawthorns this week and was meet by the manager Ginny. She was very welcoming and had the answers we required. The site was well kept. I would highly recommend this site for someone looking for retirement housing.

I like to be sociable but at times like my own space, here both is possible. Activies encourage a friendly atmosphere and the well looked after garden create a nice enbience.

My grandad has lived at Yeats lodge in Thame a number of years and the manager Melissa is always cheerful and caring, Mel is an asset to Churchill. The lodge has very happy residents

Wendy lodge manager is very nice and nakes you feel welcome as a Handy man it's always a pleasure to work for a client like that

I recently stayed in the guest suite at Knights Lodge at Lymington for 2 nights, and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.

On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Sharon, the Lodge Manager, who was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. She took the time to explain everything clearly, showed me where everything was within the lodge, and provided all the information I needed for my stay.

The guest suite itself was impeccable. It was spotlessly clean, very spacious, and beautifully presented. The room felt light and airy, the décor was lovely, and everything was thoughtfully arranged and in perfect condition.

A lovely touch was the refreshments provided in the room, including tea bags, sugar, milk, and biscuits, which made me feel very welcome after arriving.

I particularly appreciated the visitor parking space that was provided, as parking nearby is limited. This made the stay even more convenient and stress-free.

The information provided in the room was excellent, especially for someone staying in the guest suite for the first time. It clearly explained everything I needed to know, including check-out procedures and where to leave the key when departing.

The lodge's communal areas were also beautifully maintained, clean, and welcoming, with excellent facilities throughout.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with my stay and would happily visit again. A special thank you to Sharon for her warm welcome and outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend Knights Lodge to anyone looking for comfortable, high-quality accommodation in a beautiful setting.
