Visited the West Bulls in Hull,
The food was lovely and the staff was all very friendly highly recommend, not the cheapest but still a fair price in my mind

Went to pickup my Large Sunday carvery, I was surprised to find out how small a large carvery was.
I was thinking have you made a mistake because there was two bags awaiting so could I have been given the wrong one because there was no name or Ref number of which there normally is, 2
small pieces gammon
4 of the smallest dried up roast potatoes
Mash well
Peas an carrots ok
Second poor experience within a few weeks 15 August last
I will try you again but it's got to get better, l like a carvery I have eaten in with you as well as takeaways

Had an issue at stonehouse at the ferry walney but dene the manager quickly rectified it ,in a professional manner ...just another carvery at lunchtime it was delicious as usual... thanks

Arrived as one group but ordered as two
One party got they're order fairly swiftly with no issues
The other party however waited an hour for pizzas!
This was not the only problem, please read on...
The party who waited over an hour for they're food, had firstly ordered burgers, the same as us, however as ours was being served they were told that they had none left and could they change their order. So reluctantly decided upon pizzas. When they queried what they paid as on this occasion pizzas were on a two for one deal they were at first told they were not entitled to any kind of refund however after deliberation by the management team this was later found to be a mistake, they were also told that burgers were also 2 4 1!! However we were refused a refund on the two burgers we purchased.
It was all just a complete farce. The team clearly unclear and seemed to just make up as they went along!!

Not only the above but the half of our party whom had this issue also had children of under 10 years with learning difficulties waiting the longest!! Over an hour!! Whilst watching half of the table eating and finishing!!

This is not the first time we have had issues, this used to be a great pub but the last time we came it was only 6pm but were told the kitchen was closed!!

We will NOT be returning

The staff were pleasant & efficient.
I asked if they were still serving food - yes -so I ordered drinks & we looked at the menu.
When I went to order starters, a pizza & a burger, I was cheerfully informed there were no pizzas or dough of any kind, so garlic bread & wraps were out of the question. Also no burgers & no fish dishes available, only carvery.
It was 20.00, & I’m always suspicious that carvery has been standing around far too long on hot-plates. so that was the last thing we wanted, but having not eaten all day after a long journey & not knowing the area to go elsewhere, we reluctantly accepted.
The meat was ok, the veg had, as I feared, been standing far too long, everything was dried out, crisped up & lacked flavour.
There was no coffee available after our meal as they had ‘switched the machine off’…. it was 20.55.

I have been here a few time and always have excellent service I was impressed with the staff The new staff member Charlie was a excellent host will go again

we went to the radford bank stafford on sunday for a carvery and i have to say it was very good meat well cooked and nice and hot and the staff were very friendly letitia served us and was very good thanks

Brilliant service and friendly staff. Definitely be going again soon. Highly recommend a visit 👌

Great family birthday meal. Staff from the duty manager to waitress, bar and carvery staff were very attentive & helpful. The restaurant was very clean and the carvery was brilliant, fresh, plentiful & tasty! Great value would highly recommend.

Sent MEAT breakfast when vegetarian was ordered on 3 occasions out of 4.
More fall me for believing that the 2nd time would be the last. Better still their response to sending 1 egg , 3 hash browns and a spoonful of beans for nearly £8... and then paid 70p extra for mushrooms.. Got 5 yes FIVE tiny mushrooms. ABSOLUTE JOKE

hi we are sorry, that you were disappointed in your delivery breakfast , unfortunately on the day of your order our delivery was late , and items were out of stock when it did turn up. the chef that sent out the breakfasts is new to our team and is still in training as to what portions sizes we give for the takeaway breakfast by the time he realised that there was not any veggie sausages the delivery driver was already here and took the bag before anyone could check it"

No offer to make amends, refund, replace.. just sorry not sorry and blaming everyone but themselves for the failure. I believe this is a breach of the distance selling regulations so I'll go to my credit card company for a charge back.

Poor service from first entering the restaurant - no one checking the waiting area or directions are given on how the system or table seating allocation worked. Rude staff at carvery not enough and missing breakfast items. The manager was called over to be asked to solve issues with items of food not available and insufficient items available - it's a carvery? food needs to be available to help yourself, breakfast foods (6) different items and only 3 were available and others low quantity. The server said he was cooking more - however, the manager had already checked with the server and still called out 3 tables to go to the counter to get their food. The manager did not handle the situation at all and just told our family (including 2 children) that she would give us our money back and to leave if we were not happy with the service or food on offer. The manager was disrespectful calling us "Darling" after each sentence. Overall an unhappy experience considering we are local people and it used to be run in a good way and used to visit several times per year. It's so poor now that it has lost its credibility due to poor management and lack of organisation skills. And to finish this off the management took my money on the card and never put it back on the card. Bad experience, poor service, unhelpful staff - not for me or my family anymore.

This is not a complaint about the Peartree, or any any other site.
This is a COMPLIANT about the recent Company policy change to the the sale of the small carvery.
Myself, my wife and 2 friends, all pensioners have taken advantage of the smaller price and portions for the last 15 years or so, on average 5 times a month, however now that you have unreasonably stopped serving the small carvery after 5pm we will no longer be coming to your sites.
You have chosen to progressively increase the overall cost of the carvery since the change to a Stonehouse site without any significant investment in the physical space in Milton keynes, and it is clear that you are not able to recruit any decent management either.
It would have made more sense to retain the small carvery at a slightly higher price, or create a pensioner rate, or a loyalty scheme, however your choice will now mean that the regular poor experience at your sites in Milton keynes will no longer be tolerated.

Visited the crosspool tavern for a birthday party with six other family members. Four people ordered carvery, two wanted the chicken burgers and one ordered pizza. We were advised that the ordered food would be 25 mins, so to wait before getting the carvery. This we did, however all Four people had eaten the carvery and there was still no sign of the other food. When we asked what was happening (twice) they just kept saying it wouldn't be long. My wife finally went to the serving counter and discovered that the pizza hadn't been made yet. Bearing in mind we had now been waiting 45 mins. Eventually the rest of the food came out and it was reasonably good but the wait was intolerable. This was a Thursday evening and only two other tables were occupied. One with five people and the other with two people. The rest of the pub was fairly empty, so they were not exactly rushed off their feet.
We have visited here many times to eat before covid, and it was always busy but clearly people are voting with their feet. The place has gone dramatically down hill, which is a shame as it was always our favourite cavery venue.

I’m a regular I live up the street have gone since my kids were babies and before but my son now 18 and nephew 22 went in for a pint after been to a pub on another village and the cider was flat and tasted off so they told the barmaid who’s supposed to be head barmaid who has known then from going From a young age for meals with me they told her that the cider was flat and tasted funny and her reply was to shout across the pub that it was the drugs they had just taken in the toilet. So my son Left embarrassed .. so I. Phoned up and was hung up on so because my son does random drug tests for their job we had some so we went there in woodlands and asked for two pots and to complain ‘ she went on to phone
The police and say we were refusing to leave and threatening her with violence ‘all while we was sat on a chair waiting for the police whilst I was recording her ‘ the police came and watches as my son did a sample for drug tests and my nephew both was negative … then we left no apologies for the embarrassment she caused my family …

Booked a table for 11 for a birthday breakfast. Super efficient, great service and nothing was too much trouble.

We booked a table for 8 people at your Parkgate restaurant for my sons 18th birthday. We regularly visit your restaurant and have in the past had very positive experiences. On this occasion however, we bought our drinks at the counter and a lady called Lucy explained she would bring the last drink over. When the Lucy arrived with the drink she asked if she could see identification from my son and his nineteen year old friend. We explained that as we were having a meal with family we did not realise it was necessary to bring our sons ID. We understood the law states, when you are eating a meal at a licensed premise accompanied by adults you can have an alcoholic drink. She explained that company policy was different to the present law. We accepted this and ordered 2 drinks of coke. The lady then went to inform her colleague who came over and reiterated the same message to us, we pointed out that we had accepted that without ID my son and his friend had ordered coke and would it be possible for us to get on with our evening. Your employee then repeated the same message and became very loud and confrontational. I asked her why she was continuing to tell us about your company policy when we had accepted her explanation the first time, to her credit she did explain it was 'her nerves', that were causing her to be so loud and repetitive. We were then scrutinised by Lucy, who made us feel very uncomfortable and came over to point out that if she saw them drinking alcohol, she would remove our drinks from the table.
We felt very uncomfortable and found Lucy's manner unnecessarily confrontational. My son's friend realised that he had actually brought his ID and this was shown to Lucy, who was constantly watching our table, she simply looked at the ID, then walked way from us without a word.
We decided this atmosphere was not conducive to an enjoyable birthday celebration and left your restaurant without ordering our food and went to a nearby restaurant who were very friendly and accommodating.

Given two Yorkshire puddings as veg carvery option which both I and my partner considered inappropriate, and which I don't like. Peas were hard, Brussels sprouts like bullets and if supposed to be cauliflower cheese, I could not taste any cheese. Asked by chef on leaving if we'd enjoyed our meal, we replied that no, we did not, as we considered two Yorkshire puddings a poor veg option. He then mentioned a spinach dish (not on menu!) but it was "sold out" - at 12:50 and very few customers present? Won't be returning, such a contrast to how it was before Stonehouse took over.

Sunday carving at the Darby Digger. First visit for me and it was a enjoyable experience. Food was lovely excellent friendly staff. And a big shout out to the young man on his own carving the meat he is the person that made me write this review. He was very professional in his job and had excellent customer skills. Looked rushed of his feet but remained calm. Well done to him. I think his name was Kieran.

Excellent food at decent prices together with friendly staff - can't fault it at all!
