We went there on Mother’s Day and found out our booking didn’t confirm. Racheal the manager or assistant manager was so helpful. She found us a table even though being very busy. We were put on a small table that was fine as we didn’t book so anything was amazing, but someone cancelled and she came and moved us onto a bigger table. She was amazing and made a day that could have ended in disaster a lovely evening.

Went to the one in llansamet. Came in got served very polite. Ordered burgers and chips. One normal burger one big. Omg everything was so tasty. I would recommend. I shall be here again!

Went to gordano gate (brewers fayre) portishead to have a Sunday roast. Hectic as it was people walking around with their plates after getting roasted veg from self service, children becoming noisy, no organisation whatsoever. Eventually after 45 minutes wait helped ourselves what was left plus cold gravy.
Great place in week days ordinary menu, but don’t bother with SUNDAY ROAST.

The staff make this place. Food is good, staff are friendly and welcoming. Would recommend

Excellent service and great food, the staff are friendly and helpful, today in particular, Matt, Jay and Matthew went above and beyond. Ahmed on the carvery and Christian in the main kitchen, plus all the kitchen staff prepared tasty and filling meals that were cooked to perfection. And Alison for checking on us and sorting our deserts. Diolch/ Thank you for an enjoyable day.

Mother’s Day made so special by all at the oaks near Norwich airport. Always a great service, lovely surprise on my table today with a lovely baskets of luxuries. … Thank you Teresa and all the staff xxx Mary xxx

I recently visited Brewers Fayre in Whitehaven and unfortunately it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time.

To start with, the water glasses smelled absolutely awful. When I reported this to the staff, they told me the smell was from the water, not the glasses. However, it was clearly the glasses that were not clean at all.

We ordered three pizzas between us. My wife and I planned to share one, and our two kids had one each. When the pizzas arrived, the kids’ pizzas were not cut at all. I asked the waiter if she could slice them for the children, and she took them back and cut them.

When our pizza arrived, it was also not sliced. We asked if it could be cut as well, but the waiter said the cook would not slice pizzas for adults. I found this very strange. Everywhere else I’ve eaten pizza, it is usually sliced before it is served. Even if they have a policy not to slice them, when a customer asks, it shouldn’t be a problem.

The pizzas themselves were also very poor quality and definitely not worth £12.99.

On top of that, the plates were not clean and the cutlery smelled awful too, which made the whole experience even worse.

I will definitely never come back to this restaurant again. There were many families and kids eating there, and with the level of cleanliness I experienced, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before someone gets food poisoning.

I will also be reporting this to Trading Standards.

Food is good as always, tried the Wings Roulette for the first time excited for some hot sauces..... I bet some STD's burn more. Tasty but must do better on the heat levels.

My local BF closed, so I hadn't eaten at one for a while. Recently, I tried a BF further from home, and they scanned my old BC card without difficulty. The food was good, and they emailed asking about my experience — clearly the card was still active enough to be linked to the email. Later, I tried to log in to the Bonus Club account. It didn't work. Long story short, the account was "closed". So how come they still knew my email address from the card being scanned?!

If we had the chance to put Minus stars it would be Minus FIVE, long story short, we have visited this place three times, mainly due to it being the food supplier for the Premier Inn next door, I have no complaints about the Premier Inn. Long story Short, booked a table, turned up at the time and we were seated, ordered food, food arrived, my food was best described as tepid, no chance of burning myself, half way through I noticed no sausages, the chicken was burnt, the steak wasn't bad, the gammon was tough, so in all not a happy bunny, however the wife's food was acceptable, decided to order a desert, as it was going to be cold how could they muck that up? went back to the stand here and be ignored till, in fairness there was a long que to order and one server doing her best whilst others walked in and out noticing the que but not opening another till, eventually I got my turn when the manager? Opened the other till, I jokingly asked her if the sausages fell off my plate of cold food on the way to the table? Well what followed was a total farce, could of been written by the BBC, she explained to me the heat place where food is kept whilst waiting to be taken to the table was broken, I thought not acceptable, then she went to ask, How did I eat the food? Knife and fork was not the right answer! She asked me in what order as that effects how cold the food gets, she then moved onto we were also sat under a vent? Its winter the aircon was not working! So I gave up, didn't order desert and left, the other three nights and mornings we found a far superior servery to eat at, IT NEEDS SORTING! To top it all it was my Birthday meal, Happy 65th to me NOT!

Lovely friendly service but food was dreadful (Sunday carvery). Turkey was carved from a preformed hunk. The meat was watery, with a mashy texture. Burnt parsnips, pale roasters. We used to love our roast dinners here, but we’ve had a few meals like this at Brewers Fayre recently and won’t be returning any time soon.

I was very very disappointed in the eat all you can breakfast this morning, don't get me wrong the bacon is usually under cooked and pink, and the fried eggs, mushrooms and beans are usually cold but at least the sasuages are very tasty and hot.

Well not any more just when the bacon actually had some colour well some of it at least, and even the fried eggs were hoter than normal, but as a trade off the sasuages tasted terrible and were just mushy in your mouth. For a Saturday I would have expected a decent breakfast, sadly they thought it's only kids with parents so were make this instead. I did say about the sasuages, and was told that they are the same sasuages but are just smaller, well trust me these sasuages are not the usual ones. So from now on I'm off to Stacey Bushes where there is an excellent food van, everything is actaully cooked tastes great and costs less money.

Lovely location, friendly attentive staff. Great menu choices to suit everyone including kids with soft play for kids too! Good selection of drinks too.

I booked for 21 people for my moms 60th birthday. From the very start the team were not only very helpful but very friendly too.
I paid a small deposit, which was understandable given the size of the party I had booked for, and the deposit was then taken off my bill total on the night. We were given a lovely area personally for us so we could chat and enjoy our evening together.
We ordered our food as separate families to avoid trying to split a bill later, but all the food came out together so nobody was waiting too long and nobody sat with an empty plate whilst others were receiving theirs. We bought our own birthday cake with us which the team kindly kept for us and brought it out when ready , they even joined in singing happy birthday. They didn't rush to clear the table (but they also didn't leave us long with empty plates on the table) , the timing was just spot on. They made sure as guests entered separately to bring them to our area and also pointed out for our car registrations to be entered so we wouldn't get fined.
The food was hot and filling , they adapted meals for the fussy eaters too. Nothing was too much trouble for the team that was on that evening. Im pretty sure I caught the name of one of the waitresses, I believe her name was Claire. She smiled and made us feel welcome the entire time we were there. And the team that was on even gave us a friendly parting too.
Will definitely book again for another gathering when the time comes. The people who worked that night were amazing and an asset to the pub.
They even let me run in 10 minutes prior to the booked time so I could decorate the area with banners and balloons.
Thank you to everyone who made my moms suprise 60th meal very enjoyable 😃

No cutlery on table had to get our own! No serviettes!Fish was undercooked & soggy. Not offered mustard for the steaks. Banoffee cheesecake absolutely tasteless, 5 unhappy customers

Always greeted with a friendly, welcoming face. All the staff are very accommodating and helpful.
The latest appointed manager Jordan, is just simply a credit to the company. He always takes time to speak to the customers and nothing is too much trouble.
I appreciate the fact that some reviews are somewhat negative, but I know from experience, that if there is an issue, just simply raise your concern with a member of staff and it will be rectified in a professional, compassionate manner.

Brewers Fayre Minehead - Visited here 17th Feb 2026. What a joke ! Understaffed for our evening meal, whilst breakfast next morning was a complete fiasco ! Understaffed again, long queues for food, broken down coffee machine - utter chaos ! Scruffy inside and out, with litter all around.

Absolute terrible place got told they stopped serving food to people who just walk in only people that made a reservation could get food shocking

We were at the brewers last night a party of 20 people to celebrate my nephew's 40th birthday who is disabled. We spent around £400 having starters, main course , dessert and plenty of drinks.we were there for just under 3 hours and a waiter short fella with glasses on the tubby came to our table and said we would be fined £100 if we stay over 3 hours. How rude after spending all that money I get if we was sitting there for over an hour were nothing was spent but people in our part were buying drinks ,desserts I have never heard of such a rule but if so if people are spending that much money and still spending how do you tell them to leave if not you will be fined £100. The only saving grace and the reason for me not giving a score of 1 star is because of a waiter call ash he went above and beyond for our party
