Avoid for EV chargers at all costs!! Initially they seemed great, good communication and sounded like they knew what they were doing.

Had an install done, loads of corners cut, including fitting second hand breakers, dodgy earthing, not using conduit, poor termination of wires etc. They didn't notify the DNO, the installation didn't meet the standards and was dangerous. It was condemned by my electrician when he saw it. Smarter Utility refused to do anything, in the end the charger company forced their hand to solve the issue.

I hate to think how many poor installs they've done around the country. Awful experience.

Great communication prior to installation, then done very promptly with a really helpful installer and the home Zappi EV charger looks and works great.
I would highly recommend this company.

The install team were great. Couldn’t manage the planned install due to right bends in conduit between house and garage and were great in finding an alternative and even arranged a partial refund for the resulting shortened cable run. Great neat install.

The charger at home provides a poor quality charge compared to public chargers. Very disappointed in the quality of charge which means I have less miles to drive.

Myenergy arranged for my Zappi home charger installation using Smarter Utility based on the remote photographic survey I provided. Smarter Utility provided a competitive quote and answered my questions promptly by email. On acceptance of the quote, I was given an installation date within the month. My set up was new and therefore installation was expected to be straightforward so I wasn’t expecting any issues.

Jack the Electrical Technician arrived on time on the planned day. He was very professional and answered my questions in simple terms that I could understand. The installation looks neat and appears to be to a good standard. He commissioned the equipment, set up the connection with our internet and phone, undertook the sign off electrical testing and then explained and demonstrated the basic settings to confirm that the system was charging the car. The job was left neat and tidy. I received the completed electrical sign off sheet three days after installation.

Also very happy with the Zappi charger.

Stuart come and visited the house to do an actual inspection for my Zappi install which will give me an quote unlike other installers where they will just ask you to take photos of your consumer unit, place where you wanted Zappi installed.

From supervisor to director, office schedulers to finance, this small business cares. Not only do they want to get the installation correct, they will listen to customer concerns and turn them into solutions. I hate cables running around the outside of the house so we came up with a solution to run them internally. Also they were concerned about a previous installer’s workmanship so they sorted it all on site. Can’t fault them and with me wanting to be super organised they were patient with my many phone calls and emails. Top company

Follow up on my previous review:
Happy with installation but disapointed that separate 3-core & CAT5 cables were used.
The neatest EV charger installations use Doncaster EVUltra cable or that supplied by Hypervolt which combine the mains and data cable. The electrician did not appear to know about this cable.
I'm therefore downgrading my rating to average.
