Installed an EV charger without any hassle. It works well and there was minimal disruption.

Guy turned up when he said he would, took as long as the estimate said he would, left the place clean with the charging cable nicely tucked behind a drainpipe. Couldn't have asked for more.

The guys who came to install we really helpful. Explained everything that was going to happen and advised on best for fitting.

Very quick installation with no fuss. Had a minor issue with charging after installation which was very quickly resolved the next morning. Excellent customer service.

Avoid this company for EV charger installs. Mine was a total cowboy job, didn’t meet the regulations and had to get someone else to complete the install to regulations.

My installation was subcontracted to another company who then subcontracted it to another company.

Suffice to say it didn’t go well, the engineer/electrician partially installed the wrong charger. Once this was pointed out the correct charger was installed but not completely. He couldn’t activate the charger and didn’t have the correct parts (apparently these were missing from the kit).

He was not aware that the installation required (as far I was told and paid for) bonding. This was not done at the initial point of installation.

Customer service was poor, I had to push to have the charger correctly installed and set up and required 2 further engineer visits.

I would not recommend having charged EV instal a charger.

The installation experience was perfect on the day of, Stuart was polite and efficient and kept me informed the entire time. He stayed to help me set up the charger which was really appreciated. My only piece for improvement is the pre-install experience - I would’ve benefited from a bit more formal confirmation of the installation date and timely response to emails. Overall would definitely recommend!

Very happy with the service provided by Smarter Utility and with their very reasonable prices and no nonsense approach from start to finish. In terms of the installation I cannot compliment Stuart highly enough for his politeness and calm approach to what was quite a lengthy and complicated installation. His work ethic was extremely impressive too and he is a credit to the company. Would recommend.

When selecting an installer for my EV charger, my priorities were safety, followed by the need to discuss the various options available based on available products and the experiences of EV owners who had trodden this path before me.

Smarter Utility were prepared to discuss the pros and cons of various PME hardware options and advised on a product which was more suited to the electricity supply in my area (where the voltage swings tend to be higher than other parts of the U.K.).

The many earthing considerations were also discussed at length, as this seems to be a bit of a minefield in the U.K.

Once we agreed on the hardware, the installation was scheduled for within a few days and the work was carried out efficiently and professionally.

As this was for my first EV, I wanted the confidence of knowing the charge port was safe and would provide trouble-free operation. I believe that’s what I have and since taking delivery of my car, the charging process has worked exactly as expected.

I strongly recommend this supplier.

Smarter Utility installed a Zappi car charger at our property and i'm delighted with the install. Rather than run the cabling in trunking outside the property they carefully routed the cable through our garage and out of the wall so there is no visible cabling. This was not simple process, and i must thank Stuart the installer for his excellent work. He even tidied up a rats nest of cabling left by another electrician. Stuart was very polite and explained clearly how everything works. Incidentally Smart Utility were the cheapest of the 3 quotes i got for the job. Highly recommended!

Excellent installation of a Zappi charger in a less than optimal cable run. The guys did a great job of routing the cable as best they could without ripping up floorboards and left the house neat afterwards.

Stuart was very knowledgeable and took me through the install. He was very tidy and put everything away once the job was completed
