Mechanic was very professional, helpful and resolved the issues to get my car back working again.

Mechanic very respectful and explained all about the repair , also checked system, thank you recommend the mechanic.

Battery replacement by M Chowdhury. Very friendly and knowledgeable and went above and beyond in explaining and advising on other issues he’d noted on the car, not simply the task at hand. 100% satisfied, great service.

Mobile mechanic... Was very professional and informative and did a really good job bit expensive but a very professional job nd would recommend him to anyone arrived on time when he said he was coming and was very polite and respectful

The mechanics where professional in there dealings with my breakdown and repaired the job at the agreed time

Our servicing mechanic Oli was brilliant. Did a great job. Sound advice. Deserves 6 stars or more for working on late in dark, cold, wet weather.

BUT He was badly let down by the rest of the RAC system that deserve 1 or 2 stars at best.

For example

- RAC parts dept issuing wrong parts. So we had to arrange a further appointment to come back and fit the correct wipers.

- very poor accessibility. I’m partially deaf so can only do phone calls if I can lip read, so have to use text WhatsApp or email to PRE-arrange a video call on zoom, teams or WhatsApp video call. The RAC sends loads of texts and emails BUT do not allow customers who’ve already booked a service at nearly £400 to reply by text or email.

They keep saying call us - YES I can call you but NO I couldn’t hear anything you say so that is of NO use.

Tried to text or WhatsApp message all the RAC phone numbers listed but none worked.

All emails to the advertised emails bounced with just an auto email saying contact us. So frustrating. Had I needed to cancel or reschedule I am sure RAC would have demanded full payment for late cancellation.

- getting emails from them after service that make no sense.

Having being a long time RAC customer I asked how much the Home Mechanic service would cost to replace a H4 headlight bulb on a Fiat Punto ? I was told £202.22 . I also asked another Recovery service to replace the blown bulb , which they did and charged me £8.00 !

On the 2nd September I had my car diagnosed with egr and cooler needed for my mercedes
After a lot of messing around I had a honest mechanic come today to fix my car to be told my car has a completely diffrent issue ,so diagnosed wrong and charged 1100 pound before they would come out
Would give 5 stars to the fabulous RAC mechanic who came to me today in Glasgow for being open and honest .

The mobile Mechanic arrived on time. Called beforehand to say he was on his way. The work was carried out professionally. I’ve used Rac quite a few times now for my service and repairs and I can’t fault them. Great service.

Booked a mobile mechanic to replace 4 glow plugs on my car. First day he removed the glow plugs to then realised he'd been given wrong plugs. Morning of the second day he called to say the wrong plugs had arrived again and he would be collecting a third set at 12pm. He came out around 1pm with the third set which me and a friend immediately seen they were different length, and threads in different place but the mechanic said the suppliers stated they superseded my original plugs, fast forward about another hour his manager turned up and they told me they couldn't get the new plugs in or the old ones back in and they needed to order a tap and die to repair the threads. Next day came the mechanic tried to repair the threads but has distroyed them resulting in two of the 4 glow plugs holes being stripped, he packed his tools up and off he went leaving my car in bits and undriveable. I immediately complained but 7 days later after calling every day I'm still yet to be able to speak to anyone about what is going to happen. I've been left with no choice but to go out and hire a car at my own expense.
I'm absolutely shocked at this service. I have sent in cctv from my house, videos of both sets of plugs, report with videos from a camera from a independent mechanic.

She arrived, collected the key and got on with the task. She knew the process well, answered my few questions, finished the job to my satisfaction. Did not leave any mess. An honest person, left the surplus oil in the boot.

They were great lads who changed the car’s brake pads - very polite & efficient
