It was all very simple. The mechanic did everything on my driveway and it saved me arranging lifts to get back from the garage.

Daniel (ID: 8833) came recently to help with an issue I had with my car. He was very helpful and explained exactly what the issue with my car was. Great service and would definitely recommend.

My car needed a new battery fitted so I thought I'd try going through RAC Mobile Mechanics and I found it really good. I was able to book my appointment a few days later in the same week and the mechanic, Ally, sent me a message that morning to confirm a timeframe when he'd be there, which he stuck to. When he arrived he got straight on with the job, removing and disposing of the old battery safely and then fitting a lovely new replacement no problem. I'd opted to also have both my car key batteries replaced for an extra £10 as I wasn't sure how to do this myself, so Ally did this quickly too, as well as checking my car was starting well, following the battery replacement. He also helped me to make the payment easily by texting me a link and waiting patiently 'til I completed the details and it went through. Ally was a pleasure to deal with, friendly and diligent, just what I normally experience with RAC membership. Thanks again, Ally! [Job Number 977676]

I had my brake pads and disks replaced by RAC Mobile Mechanics. The mechanic (Archie) was professional and knowledgeable, kept me informed of his ETA and did a professional job. I wouldn't hesitate to use RAC again

My experience with my assigned mechanic, Carl I think he was called, was very good he did a fantastic job in a very short timeframe. Very competent and a genuine friendly person. I give him five stars for that. This is not the whole story however. Prior to my scheduled appointment I should have received a phone call to give me an approximate time to expect them to arrive. This did not happen. No explanation or apology for this. On the appointment day I received a message that they were on their way to me. They arrived over an hour after this message was received. The culmination of which mean't I had to wait in from 9am until approximately 3pm before they arrived to do the work scheduled. This defeats their stated goal of reducing the wasting of your time at a garage when having work done. The only difference was that I was essentially house bound and couldn't even take my dog out after the message they were on the way until they actually arrived! Not good enough tbh. RAC you need to address these issues. Think about customers expectations. This can work a lot better than it did today.

RAC cancelled service without liaising with customer. However after making contact with mechanic ( Oliver Brown), service was completed. 5 stars are for Oliver who worked late to complete job

RAC is a pathetic service... spent on top cover 4 months I broke down 3 miles away from home.... patrol turned up and I told him I'd bled the system no revs, must be something else, expecting him to plug in a diagnostic tool , or at least have a look.... told me he couldn't tow me home because he hadn't got the towing eye to screw I to my bumper and put it on me ....as the eye was an ordinary vauxhall vivaro/trafic standard fitting I was amazed he didn't have one in his towing kit, I said my wife could nip me home as it was in the shed. His reply was if I left the vehicle my slot was over, beings I'd waited for almost 3 hours I suggested he wasn't playing ball.
I locked the vehicle up and told him I'd get it recovered privately.
He refused to tow me on a rope even though on tick over the brakes and steering were fine and the hazard lights worked fine.... policy issue he said.
Later on in the evening we towed it home with my mates van .
I looked on YouTube vauxhall vivaro 1.9 failing to rev....it appeared to be an airflow meter issue a simple clean or perhaps wire off or air leak.
Lifting the bonnet I could have kicked myself, although not immediately visible the air pipe had came off the air flow meter, a quick loosen of the jubilee and back on it went, started up.and the rest is history.
Both my wife and myself cancelled our RAC membership and that's the end of the RAC.... received our money back minus a tenner stolen by the admin department....I spent almost 10 years working in a vehicle recycling centre and had I behaved as did this RAC employee I wouldn't have been there a day let alone 10 years.. these people should be made accountable

Both the guys that attended were super pleasant, incredibly friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, and highly proficient.

One of the guys also went above and beyond to help me with very minor but incredibly impactful and beneficial issue with my motorcycle that was missing an M6 12mm bolt from its exhaust baffle. After fixing our battery on the car; being a biker himself, he spotted the issue when looking at my bike on the drive, he went straight to his van, came out with a bolt, and fitted in a flash. A 5 second job and a tuppence part has solved a rather loud noises issue with a viciously raucous exhaust.
What a genius and absolute legend!!

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about RAC! Every single interaction so far has been utterly beyond expectations, especially so given the size of company. Normally large companies forget about customer service. You guys seem to place it front and centre.

Aaron communicated with me clearly and arrived when he said he would. After explaining exactly what he would be fixing and which parts he would be replacing he got to work. Aaron replaced the broken driveshaft speedily and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. A top bloke.

The mechanic called before time to let me know approx time, then on the day also called about 30 minutes before arrival.
Use good protective matting on the drive.
He carried out the service and cleared up behind himself

Conner from the RAC carried out a full service on my Golf. He was very polite and knowledgeable about the work that required to be done on the car. He also informed me that the rear brakes could do with being replaced and we arranged for the RAC to return next Friday and carry out this work. Overall very impressed with the RAC's roadside service. No more booking my car into a garage for me.

Really good service. The guy who came out was really easy to chat to and really explained everything we needed to know and did a really good job

Booked for my car to have a full service on 31 July before going on holiday. Took day off work. Got text message at 8 am on 31st to say a mechanic was on there way. I stayed in all day and no one arrived. I’ve put in a complaint and been told that it will take up to 8 weeks for a reply. Totally useless. Used the service twice before and had been excellent and reliable. No explanation so far. All very odd.

Great service and clearly communicated throughout the whole process. You know the work is being carried out correctly so would definitely recommend.
