RAC cover

Took out insurance with RAC being it a company I've had no reason to doubt. Found on a comparison site and was cheaper than expected. Only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because it all rests on customer service, which I hope I never have to use.

Cost added after accepting my insurance!

I was given insurance based upon my online search where I noted an accident on my application. After giving me insurance I was told a few days later that I had to pay £140 additionally as a search had found an accident which was stated that I had not declared. I DID! I was furious and cancelled my insurance and got a refund.

I am really sorry to hear about your experience and that it led to the cancellation of the policy.

Where the details do not match what was provided when the quote was given and the policy set up and that can include changes to claim details, unfortunately, it can lead to an increase in premium. As the price comes directly from the underwriter, we can only offer cancellation without a fee.
