Everyone was great, very fast. Breakdown within 30min. Then the repair next day.

Darren did the repair, was quick, friendly and overall a great experience.

Title: £393 for a full service, unresolved warning lights and no response to my complaint

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from RAC Mobile Mechanics.

On 22 May 2026, I paid £393.54 for a full service on my two-year-old Range Rover.

Despite the service report stating that the warning lights had been checked and the service interval reset, the warning light remained illuminated.

I contacted RAC shortly afterwards, and a follow-up appointment was arranged. However, nobody attended to resolve the issue.

To make matters worse, the engine coolant warning light has since appeared, raising further concerns about the checks carried out during the service.

I submitted a formal complaint on 9 October and followed this up on 11 October, specifically raising the coolant issue and requesting an urgent inspection.

As of 5 November, I have received no substantive response to either complaint.

I have paid nearly £400 for a service, been left with unresolved warning lights, experienced a missed follow-up appointment and received no satisfactory customer service.

I am not suggesting that RAC necessarily caused the coolant issue, but I would expect them to investigate it properly, particularly given the nature of a full service. The car being new is not an excuse for this.

For a company of RAC’s size and reputation, this level of customer service is completely unacceptable.

I would like RAC to take responsibility for investigating the outstanding issues, explain why the follow-up appointment was missed and provide a proper written response to my complaint and refund me the costs incurred.

I would strongly advise other customers to think carefully before booking RAC Mobile Mechanics.

Engineer Mr Nabiel (mechanic 8397) was polite, professional and very helpful. He is a credit to both the RAC and his engineering profession.

I was contacted the night before advising Mitesh was going to attend my appointment on the 5th. This morning I had a text confirming my appointment and a little later a phone call from Mitesh , advising he would be onsite within 30 minutes. When he arrived he explained exactly what he was going to do. I just left it with him and he was completed within a reasonable time . Mitesh was very professional and polite.

I received brilliant service and support from James, he had to visit 2 times for the same issue and I couldn’t fault him or his work.
Would highly recommend RAC and their mobile mechanics!

Until a week ago I didn’t even know that the RAC had a doorstep mechanic branch!!
Unfortunately I’ve had to use them twice in a week for separate issues.
It’s so handy and saves on all the hassle plus if you find the quote given cheaper locally they’ll refund the difference.
I’d like to show my appreciation to a very competent Alex (8567) who got me back on the road in no time!!
