I had real problems with them my house is for sale, I needed the EPC done as I paid online and received a email stating thanks for your order. I then had no reply from them to make an appointment for the EPC. I phoned them they said that the engineer would contact me within 24 hrs nobody contacted me I then contacted them again they stated someone would contact me again nothing then I emailed there customer services I received a message after a week asking for my postcode or order number. I urgently need to carry out the EPC not happy at all if someone from there company sees this message my order number is 2567609. I not happy at all :-( it’s giving me a lot of grief I need to forward the EPC certificate to my solicitor. Regards Mohan

Nationwide EPC is a very poor agent—if their operation can even be described as a professional agency.
I contacted them to arrange an EPC and was clearly promised that the certificate would be issued within 48 hours if I placed the order with them. I ordered and paid on 19th February, but shortly afterwards the engineer informed me that he was too busy and could not carry out the home visit until 6th March—already far from the promised 48-hour turnaround.
Worse still, the engineer completely missed the 6th March appointment, leaving me waiting at home for an entire morning with no notice or apology. The visit had to be rebooked for 10th March. Although the engineer eventually attended and completed the assessment, the delays did not end there.
After the assessment, I was told that the engineer’s EPC login system was not working, meaning the certificate could not be issued. I then had to wait until 23rd March—over one month after making payment—to finally receive an EPC that was originally promised within 48 hours.
This level of service is unacceptable. The company appears to have little control over their engineers and simply acts as a middleman assigning work to low-quality assessors without proper coordination or accountability.
Avoid this company if you value your time or need a reliable and timely EPC service.
Edit: Reply to NationalEPC’s follow-up response
Between 19 February and 23 March, I contacted NationalEPC at least 10 times by phone and email regarding my order. During this entire period, not once was my issue properly addressed. Each time, I was simply told that "it will be issued soon," yet no clear explanation, timeline, or meaningful action was provided.
I find your public apology disappointing. Despite having my contact details, you did not attempt to contact me directly to resolve the issue. Instead, you posted a generic response here, which gives the impression of a public relations exercise rather than genuine customer care.
It is also worth noting that I had to provide my personal details and order confirmation to Trustpilot after NationalEPC challenged the authenticity of my original review, which added further frustration to an already poor experience.
My review — and this reply — are intended to warn potential customers about the level of service I experienced. You had numerous opportunities over several weeks to resolve this matter, yet those opportunities were missed.
A generic public apology does not resolve the problem and, in my view, adds insult to injury. What customers need is timely action, clear communication, and accountability — none of which I experienced in this case.

I booked an EPC on the Tuesday the 17th March - paid my money, then received an email saying that the assessor would contact me within 24 hrs. Well, 48 hrs came and went. On the Friday, I rang only to be told that they would have to allocate another person. My property was now being viewed with no epc or even one in the pipeline.
Another assessor was allocated! who contacted me on the Monday, saying he could do it for a week.
I’ve obviously have had to go elsewhere and that company will be here within 48 hrs of booking.

I booked an EPC through this company because their advert clearly states “no misleading front prices, no hidden charges, simple process – order your EPC today.” After paying, I was told someone would call me tomorrow, which completely contradicts the expectation set by the advert. When I called to query this and request a refund, the customer service representative, was dismissive, repeatedly talking over me and being less than helpful. She insisted the policy was that someone would call within 24 hours and claimed the advert didn’t say “today” — however it clearly does say “order your EPC today,” which is why I booked in the first place. I was then transferred to another department for the refund, but the phone rang continuously with no answer. I had to call back again and speak to the same person before finally being told someone might call me back later today. Overall the experience has been frustrating, misleading and a waste of time.

Thomas kept me well informed every step of the way. He was always polite when I spoke to him.
He arrived on time very cheerful and quickly spoke to me about where he needed to investigate.
He was prepared for looking onthe loft area.
He asked just a couple of questions.
