Tired of navigating through beggars…

Tired of navigating through beggars right at store entrance. Now we have charities there constantly. I’ve given to the charities on many occasions but the harassment by the homeless crew of people is getting too much at the Sturgeon Falls store. It’s clear No Frills has become a better environment to shop in

What's this chics problem?

I shop all the time here I'm a 40 yr old woman I go in and even get my lottery tickets occasionally there never had a issue even buying wine. I had won some money on my ticket so I went up to the cash where they have the tickets signed my ticket. The girl wouldn't even look at me she's like sorry can't serve you you look under age. Now anyone can take that as a compliment but she Insisted on embarrassing me. I told her I am in here with my kids all the time I buy from this stand I'm 40 yrs old I do not look under age. She got another employee involved I said I have teenagers this is ridiculous they started laughing at me going sure u do. I was pissed off n said I'd be back with my ID so I went back n that girl then proceeded to look at my ID like it was a fake I was so mad at that point I told her what is your problem give me my ID back I won't be buying from here again she started laughing bye bye. She was just being a complete b over this.

They DO NOT separate their specials when they are not in the same stores, they WILL send you to a store 30 minutes away if cancelling the specials there leaves you with a bigger bill.

Walmart is better than this place, absolutely shameful.

Worst customer service (and bad produce)

Metro’s customer service is beyond awful. And their quality control is non-existent. I subscribed to their unlimited delivery service but after a few months I decided to cancel because I wasn’t happy with the produce their employees picked, they often packed boxes badly, and deliveries were often very late. At the end of September 2023 I called customer service to cancel my subscription. The customer service agent told me they wouldn’t be able to give me a full refund since I had been using the service for a few months, but I would get back approx $80 for the remainder of the term. I thought that was fair. I was told it would take a few days to get the refund. By mid October I had still not received my refund so I called customer service again and another agent said they were so sorry that my refund hadn’t yet been processed but I would get it within a few days. As of a few days ago (over a month since my last conversation with Metro’s customer service) I still hadn’t received my refund so I called customer service yet again. The agent told me that the agents I spoke with in September and October made a mistake and I will not be getting any refund. End of story. No explanation. No resolution. They didn’t care that I had been waiting over 2 months and I was told by 2 Metro customer service agents that I would get a refund. The agent told me it was his manager’s decision and there was no way He was going to change his mind. It didn’t matter that the other agents I had spoken with told me I was going to get a partial refund.

Metro isn’t standing behind it’s product or service, and instead of resolving the issue by simply giving me the refund I was promised 2 months ago, I’m being told the agents made a mistake so too bad for me. I’ve never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. Unreal how short sighted Metro is. They’d rather risk getting tons of negative PR than resolving a legitimate customer issue. Maybe I’m just unlucky and the manager who made the decision in my case isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but hopefully Metro will get right at some point. Not holding my breath.

I urge everyone to buy their groceries elsewhere. There are much better options, especially if you want fresh produce and good customer service.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the WORST grocery delivery service in existance. I’d rather my blind grandma pick out groceries and don’t even get me started on the customer service. EXTREMELY late deliveries, incompetent customer service, lazy workers. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was called by 4! Yes 4! Different lower tier workers before I could even get a word in with a supervisor. NOT TO MENTION I WAS CALLED AT 10PM. I’ve got kids who need to sleep. This is a shameful company that needs to investigate the internal issues because this is disgraceful. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone and NEVER enter this horrific grocery store again. SHAME ON YOU METRO. The only good thing about this place is the damn music.

Metro Online ORDER 11/26/2023

Metro Online, I ordered the 6mth del pkg at the sale price of $25, when taken from my cc they charged me full price $70, I called, they admitted they were wrong but will they refund the difference NO, there best offer was metro dollars, I cancelled the del. service right then, and now i have to wait and see if i will get my money back. Metro do better!

Metro wilderton location Montreal : THEY KEEP OLD AND SPOILED VEGETABLES. So I had this worst experience last week , I got vegetables and fruits on Monday around 6:30 pm and then on Thursday I see that’s y everything is completely spoiled even though I had keep stuff in the fridge. So I had to throw away mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, green pepper, orange pepper, red pepper, cucumber, cilantro ,dill leaves and cut vegetables . I called them up to tell about this situation, so I even told them I had other stuff in the fridge which I got from other stores or same store on some other day the older stuff in my fridge are completely fine , it was just the stuff from Monday . The manager was very rude I didn’t even get an apology, he was trying to blame it was my issue and he said if I had receipt ( I normally don’t even take my receipt after purchasing ) and he said he can’t do anything without it . FYI I was not looking for replacement or refund, this store is near to y home and I wanted to ensure that if I shop here again this won’t happen. I spend like 100+ $ a week on my groceries from this store and if I get stuff like this the least I expect is an apology and assurance they will check if everything is fresh , that was clearly not the case . Not stepping foot in the store ever again . I am placing delivery order from other stores from now .

Let Metro Cater your next meeting

This is my go to store for produce and meat. I find it to be consistent with prices, food cost have definitely increased but that's all stores.
Ordered platters for my monthly Board meeting and for my moms viewing and everything was great. Easy to order online and pick up was seem less, they had the beat price when I compared cost, quality, variety, and quantity.
I didn't like not being able to customize my order online.

Have you shopped hot food lately here. They all got a raise, food prices went up, but they seemed to burn everything . Asked about BURNT food, they insisted it was not. Ps. There is a bylaw about HOT food being kept at 130 degrees. Not here.time to call city METRO groceries

Please do yourself a favor and NEVER ORDER FROM THE METRO ONLINE. They substitute your alchohol even though there is NO SUBSTITUTION ALLOWED. Then when you ask them to refund the decline! They sent me a TOTALLY DIFFERENT wine. 14.5% compared to 8%. Also I was charged a higher price for the substitute. I called, emailed and almost 10 days later no response. I am stuck with wine I don't want and out almost $40. Scammers!

On May 17, 2023, I saw a 2 sided sign advertising a special for new patients.
It read full mouth exrays and cleaning for $99. I went in to inquire and asked,
if that was the price. The receptionist said she would get back to me. I never
heard from them. On August 17, 2023, i noticed the sign still in place.
I called on August 18, and i asked again. Lena the receptionist told me that the
price was $250.

Always loved Metro

Happening Every Week. Big disappointment!

I purchased Tenderflake Lard two weeks ago. The price was $4.99 which is ridiculous. I purchased again one week later and the price was $5.49. How can fat go up $0.50 in one week? Also your Stouffville, Ontario store is never stocked well and the produce is not great. An example is no iceberg letteruce for almost two weeks. I asked the produce department to check the back. He did and his answer “it’s the warehouse or his mistake. How can you make a mistake ordering lettuce. I have having to go to No Frills in Stouffville to find the simplest things that I need. The staff is very unfriendly not that helpful if you can find anyone.

No Cashiers and No Shopping Carts

My local metro is at the Bramalea City Centre in Brampton, Ontario. For about 6 weeks now they have no shopping carts. As a senior this is difficult for me to carry a basket around the store so I can't buy that much. Supposedly, they have been stolen. Also, they often have just ONE cashier so you have to check yourself out. No wonder their staff are striking. Their prices are expensive too. I have emailed their head office twice over the past 6 weeks and so far have not received a reply.
