How can this be xtra lean
Fat content is way too high for xtra lean
Completely fed up with these grocery stores it they aren't jacking up the prices they find new ways to screw us over

The company can improve by focusing on food safety and stop trying the hide the truth. There was a parasite found in the medium ground beef and they tell me it was inspected and such and it was a vein, meanwhile I have the photo to prove it was a parasite!!!.
It’s all over being shared on the media. You’ve not only lost me as a customer but I’m sure others soon also!!
Very bad quality control etc etc etc

been waiting three hours for a delivery…

been waiting three hours for a delivery that should have been here a long time ago, no calls from delivery people.

never buying groceries in-person with metro either. I worked a metro in laval as a teen and the state of service today is pathetic, not the same business at all
chasing CSR's 40 minutes just to find out where our stuff is, 20 minutes ago they said it was about five minutes away, the dissapointments never end

I spent hours on their website trying to order groceries, and called three times but no one was able to help me. Still no food. "An error occurred. Please try again." Just go to the grocery store. It's faster and less frustrating.

ZERO STARS-Metro-Church Avenue

Metro-Church Avenue, North York.
They lost a customer today.
Today I bought a few chicken fingers and roasted potatoes, a loaf of bread, cheese, and a bunch of organic bananas. $48.
I rarely buy food from the hot counter, and today was a reminder to never do it again.
The chicken was so stale I couldn’t even cut it, so I gave it to the dogs; the roasted potatoes, so soggy and inedible to make you gag, ended up in the garbage; the “organic” bananas tasted like detergent and one of them was rotten. Yes, I checked few bunches of bananas before picking the wrong one, yes, I could have driven all the way there and get my money back for the disgusting food they sold at prime price, but I was so frustrated that I resolved to cut my losses and never set foot in any of their stores again. I am particularly concerned about the lack of quality control and freshness of the products offered. Selling stale and spoiled food not only undermines customer trust but also raises health and safety concerns. This is a reflection of the state of our country at the moment. Everywhere you turn you see higher prices and lower quality. No one seems to care, there’s total lack of accountability and moreover total lack of respect to people who bring their money to your store. Shame on you Metro.

No Respect for Seniors

We were waiting to pay for our
groceries at Checkout #5 DONNA.
We observed that Donna
treated the senior before us
with disrespect. We felt her attitude
as well....
Pardon the old expression but we
felt Donna treated everyone
with a "SNOTTY" attitude.

Meat department customer service appalling

Meat department employee ( s ) customer service was brutal. I was standing at the meat counter waiting to request a special cut of meat which was not available in the meat aisle. Two meat cutters looked at me directly and just ignored me. One was standing directly in front of me behind the counter , looked at me then retreated to the meat freezer. Another employee was packaging chicken , I asked if i could get some help, he looked at me and continued on with what he was doing. Whilst still standing there, yet another one, upon finishing helping a customer who had unintentionally butted a head of me, walked by me back into the meat cutting area. When I got his attention he asked me what I wanted. I told him, he then walked away to talk to another employee about something. By this time I told him to forget it and left. Upon leaving I asked another employee that I would like to speak with a store manager. The manager was very apologetic, escorted me to the meat counter and told the meat cutter, whom I assume was the head meat cutter what I wanted. The meat cutter denied any fault, telling the meat manger, that he had taken my order and was preparing it for me. Upon receiving the product I requested, he said to me sarcastically, " Sorry I was too slow for you " I must say that in the past I have never had any issues with their cutters asking for special cuts. I have never had contact with this guy before this.

Liars liars liars all over the store…

Liars liars liars all over the store and office. No one helps you. Say one thing and do another. You deserve -5 not 1 star. People treated like garbage at metro and the employees act as if they’re so special. I really hate Metro and it’s affiliates now more than ever. I’d rather shop at loblaws or no frills now. Metro you are becoming the worst company out there. All your employees are crazy & rude. You have no remorse and you are cheating all of us. You don’t deserve our money. Just close down. 🤢 you make us sick

Discriminatory Rewards Program I visited Metro store on St Laurent…

I visited Metro store on St Laurent blvd and Walkley in Ottawa, Sunday Aug 11th, 2024, to purchase some meat. When I got to the self-checkout, I asked about their NEW rewards program that replaced Airmiles. I was informed that the new program is only available by way of an app download to my cell phone.

Well, I don't own a cell so there is no way that I can partipate in this new rewards program.

Metro created this new rewards program which is unfair and discriminatory towards those of us who don't own a cell.

Shame on you!!

I guess that I'll be shopping elsewhere for my food.

Metro Grocery Stores Discrimination

Metro Grocery Stores are discriminating against people who do not have smartphones from collecting rewards. They do not have physical cards that can be used. Smartphones are expensive and so are the monthly fees to operate them. I deserve the right to earn rewards just like the people with smartphones.

Clerk gives other the run around

The clerk working at checkout six was wasting time playing games. While giving supervisors the run-around refusing to do as instructed to enter a coupon. The clerk was not in training. Was told to punch in a number and select a code button to enter a coupon. The clerk refused and acted incompetent wanting a supervisor to enter a four-digit number for her instead and select the code button. Claiming she had never done this before. She entered the number and selected the code button when a second supervisor directed her to. All groceries had rung in. The clerk had no problem putting in a code number for produce and selecting the code button to enter a price in the system. But had no issue wasting the customer's time to give her supervisors the run-around acting as though she lacked training and basic skills.

Metro grocery delivery stole $200

I used Metro's grocery delivery service. They were out of so many things and had no replacements to offer (apparently the store was out of all toilet paper), so I called their customer service line to cancel. I was told no problem, it was cancelled and I'd be refunded the $200 from my order in 2-3 business days.

Later, they claimed the groceries had been delivered and there was no record of a cancellation. Every time I phoned to resolve it I was told oh actually, it will be 3-5 days. Now 5-8. Now two weeks. Finally, the customer service agent told me they'd escalate it and call me back in 5 minutes. I never received a call. I emailed for help and was told I'd be contacted within 48 hours. I never received any contact.

Finally, I filed a chargeback with my credit card company and got my $200 back.

Metro flat-out stole my money and lied to me over and over.

Cash taken from my wallet by a Metro employee

I often shop at this store but unfortunately yesterday at the automatic teller I left my wallet there as soon as I held the cab I realized I was missing my wallet I ran back into Metro and went to customer service and I asked them did anybody turn in a wallet to my surprise the customer service agent pulled out my wallet out of the drawer without even asking me what color it was I was very happy but when I open my wallet I realized that's yes all my cards were there but my cash was gone I returned to the store today and the manager looked at the video at the time of purchase when I can clearly see that another customer right away without opening my wallet handed is over to unattended who proceeded to open it then the video cuts off next shot is my wallet being placed in a drawer yes I realize this is my fault for leaving my wallet at self checkout but it was very clear to me in the video who took the cash out of my wallet and that is quite disturbing that a good person would turn in my wallet to the staff at Metro and one of the staff members help themselves to my cash my problem was left unresolved will I go back there yes I will and I will ask the person who took my cash if she put it to good use

Went in on Thursday and tried to open…

Went in on Thursday and tried to open washrooms.
A sign said you had to get a key the entire length of the store.
The washroom was filthy...unusable.
Paying customers now inconvenienced because of crackheads doing drugs.
I refuse to go back.

Bought a remade ceasar salad at Metro…

Bought a remade ceasar salad at Metro in Picton. Got to the cottage, hung out, then began to make supper. Mixed the ingredients in a bowl. No dressing! No Dressing!!! That's not a ceasar and at that price, not a deal!!!!

I experienced the rudest person in the self checkout...I was doing everything right checking out my stuff and she aggressively takes my stuff and yells at me I'm doing it wrong...she was extremely rude ...I'm going to go to a different grocer who actually know how to treat their customers

summer contest scam

Re; summer contest. I rarely pay attention to these things, but this looked interesting. A blatant attempt to gather personal information with no chance of successfully entering through their unnavigable site. I urge everyone to vote with their wallets, our $17,000.00 a year will now go elsewhere. We will also boycott any brand that exhibits a close relationship with this co. I doubt we'll get a response, we'll let everyone know if we do. Good or bad. BTW Metro my code is 83170676246889237 as proof of purchase.
