Although this company has now been taken over by Leaders and trade under their name, it was formely know as Alan Francis, which is the company who took my property on. The staff still work there, under the name of Leaders now. I feel obliged to write this review to expose the numerous shortcomings of this company. I can substantiate everything I have claimed on this review and welcome anyone who wishes to see this for themselves. I sigend up to this company through a mutual friend of both this company and myself to manage my 6 bedroom HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy). This happened to be the worst decision I have made during my time as a landlord. They presented themselves as very professional and understanding when they wanted to take on my property. Unfortunately I soon came to realise that this was a deceptive ploy when issues began with tenants they had placed into the property. I was being notified of numerous claims of damage being caused in a perfect, well-maintained property as I am very house proud. To add to this problem, the police had been involved to remove an unknown individual who was residing at the property. Any maintenace work was carried out to an absolutely embarrassing standard which would be fit for any 10 year old to be proud of. All this had to be paid for from my own pocket to be rectfied after paying for it initially by their so called skilled tradesman. I had two very longterm, relaible and decent tenants who I lost in quick succession after giving my property to Alan Francis to manage due to their complete disregard of the condition and wellfare of the individuals living there. Whenever I called to speak to either Mia Anderson or Jack Hurley, they were always conveniently 'in a meeting' or 'out the office'. They never returned any of my request for them to call me back when they were avaialble and everything simply always fell on deaf ears. When I began to ask to speak to the manager to express my disgust with how I was being treated, they simply always had an excuse: 'not in the office, 'away on holiday' etc.
Unfortunatley the complications didn't stop here for me. When I served notice to terminate my contract with these habitual and useless liars, my deposits were never returned to me, even after turning up to the office five weeks from the end of my contract date. When I finally met with Jack Hurley as I turned up to the office unannounced, I insisted I am not leaving until the deposits are returned. He went upstairs for 5 minutes and when he came back he told me striaght to my face that 'it's all done and will take a few days for it to come through'. I left the office with a huge sigh of relief as I was no longer associated with these con-artists. When a week passed and no deposit arrived into my DPS account, I took it upon myself to call their deposit company (TDS) who had told me nothing had been instructed by Alan Francis (now trading as Leaders).
It took me four long weeks of repairs to get my property back to it's former standard and in a habitable condition. When I made reports of the damage caused by thier tenants who were supposedly vetted, I was met with nothing but silence and the blame was put on the third party company (Sai Aryan) who had sub-let the property and I have not been paid a single penny to this date.
This is a very incompetent company who is only good for collecting your money and deducting their costs. I have been taken for a long ride by these rogues and can't stress enough for any newcomers to stay well clear of this horrendous company. Instead of having a peace of mind instructing an agent to act on my behalf, I have made a significant financial loss.
They have been very unresponsive to my calls and emails and I am really looking forward to their responce to this feedback as it will be the quickest responce I have ever recieved. I would just like to remind you that I have attempted to speak to the manager on numerous occasions, but was given the runaround. If you want to be disgraced, shamed and be treated like pond-life then simply do business with this company. Please take note how this company responds to negative feedback. They DO NOT respect every customer as an individual and their reply to feedback looks carelessly the same (copy and pasted). Absolute careless money-grabbers.

Paige has yet again helped solve a final problem that I’ve been having. In 3 months, she has done far more than the other property managers that I’ve had and helped fix problems that have started well over a year ago where others either couldn’t or wouldn’t. Pray you have someone like Paige

A great lettings/property management agency. Deal with any queries/issues in a timely manner, and would highly recommend!

They do not followup made several calls, left messages and no one responded. Called another day to escalate the matter, called again the following day only to hear that the recipient of my formal complaint had left the company. Current state of affairs is one way communication system, you call them they are always in meetings so they won't even take your call immediately, classic case of what seems to be gate keeping.

Incorrect meter readings given at start of tenancy - no idea from property manager where the correct meter was, leading to lengthy discussions to resolve with the utility companies,

Subsequent to leaving the property, both an incorrect debt recovery email was sent to us for our property, but also a debt recovery email for another property we had no involvement with (brilliant data protection on show.)
After resolving the debt recovery and correcting the date entry they had wrong on their system, then receive another email 3 months later asking for payment, clearly the communication resolving the debt did not pass through internally (as promised). All in all, a shocking experience with Leaders, false promises, bad management, lack of communication.

Guys one of the best letting agencies I’ve found. And oh my!! Baileys is very cool. Guys you need to call Leaders for all your property needs.

Harsimran is brilliant, I had no hot water or heating and she had someone over in the next hour! Brilliant service by Harsimran. She makes us feel comfortable when reporting any issues to her. Best property manager I have had. We are very happy tenants!!

I’ve been with Leaders for a number of years now and have in the past been frustrated by changes of Property Management personnel. Fortunately, on this occasion, Harsimran stepped in just at the point of the tenants departing and has done a great job of organising cleaning, painting and repairs. All done swiftly and with minimal fuss despite several changes to requirements along the way. My thanks to her for her cheerful perseverance in getting the property swiftly back on the market.

Shocking renting a house where the maintenance as never been address. Ceiling falling in to the kitchen that's never been up dated. Mold in bedrooms where there's children with bad asthma. Front door that's not got adequate security locks. Porch that's rotten rear garden that needs a tree surgeon with overgrown trees. The list goes on.

Eliza has been absolutely brilliant! She attends to matters straight away. I am happy she is managing my property, a big thank you to Eliza!

Our property manager Harsimran is fantastic - our queries get answered immediately & any work that is required gets done very fast too. Very happy :)

I am very pleased to have Harsimran as my property manager as she has shown great enthusiasm and is very reliable and precise when it comes to chasing up contractors to replying to important emails and in general making sure all matters are attended to right away.

Harsimran has been reliable and responsive dealing with council and magistrates to achieve resolution. Big improvement from Leaders having a designated property manager who is capable of dealing with issues as they arise.

Daanish has done great job in fixing Tiles and Dishwasher issue. He was very prompt in his response. Thanks Daanish for all the help.

Three Years of Frustration - Leaders Letting Agency Falls Short

I find myself compelled to share my disheartening experiences after renting a property through Leaders Letting Agency for a lengthy three-year period. Despite my extended stay, it's unfortunate that the agency consistently fell short in providing the level of service and support that my family and I expected.

Upon moving into the property, we faced numerous challenges. The apartment was not clean when we moved in, despite our expectations for a hygienic and habitable living space. This initial setback was just the beginning of our ordeal with Leaders Letting Agency.

Throughout our tenancy, we encountered a multitude of issues with the property that remained unresolved for extended periods. Notably, we experienced a broken heater, which left us using portable heaters for warmth, even in the coldest months. This issue persisted for an astonishing 10 months, significantly impacting our quality of life.

In addition, a malfunctioning toilet that couldn't flush was left unaddressed for six months. The unhygienic and inconvenient nature of this problem is difficult to put into words and was incredibly distressing for my family.

One of the most staggering issues we faced was a charge of £1,300 that was transferred to my account. This charge was attributed to a previous tenant's usage and had been reported in 2020. Despite our efforts to explain and resolve this matter with Leaders, it remained unresolved, and the issue persisted into 2023. This financial burden left us bewildered, and it reached a point where we had to seek assistance from the Citizens Advice Bureau to find a resolution.

What's deeply disheartening is the apparent lack of responsibility and accountability demonstrated by Leaders' representatives, Abby and Matthew Westland-Tritton Despite repeated attempts to communicate these concerns, we felt unfairly treated as we were left to shoulder the financial and emotional consequences of these issues.

In an effort to find resolution, we reached out to Leaders' manager, Molly, who kindly tried to assist. However, it's unfortunate that the issues could not be satisfactorily resolved, leaving us to handle the repercussions alone.

Molly explained the agency's reliance on the landlord's authorization for taking action and clarified that the timing of resolutions was dependent on the landlord's responses. While this explanation sheds light on the situation, it does not diminish the ongoing frustration we endured for the duration of our three-year tenancy.

Our extended stay with Leaders Letting Agency only amplified the disappointment we experienced. The combination of unresolved issues, inadequate cleanliness upon move-in, and the lack of responsibility on the agency's part made our experience truly challenging.

I wouldn't wish this kind of experience on anyone. Therefore, I strongly advise against using Leaders Letting Agency for your rental needs.

Leaders Milton Keynes are the best estate agent I have encountered while renting a property. The staff are always polite, friendly and happy to help in anyway they can even if it mean. I would highly reccomend them.

Have recently left a tenancy ran by Leaders Milton Keynes. Was an absolute pleasure living and dealing with them. Daniel Dixon was my property manager and was spot on, kept me informed when needed, helped out a lot and dealt with issues promptly and fairly. I must admit, I was anxious about leaving and Daniel certainly helped to make the transition as smooth as possible. Would definitely recommend them.
