Scammers
Took the phone into Salisbury branch, due to face recognition not working. Told that a new true depth camera was required, and that the phone would be 'reprogrammed'. Cost £75, and agreed to this. Collected phone and found that face recognition still not working. Returned to shop and was told that because the phone was not working properly when I took it in, the replacement of the camera would not work! I asked why did they not tell me this before carrying out the repair? Why did they replace the camera if it was not going to fix the problem!?
The shop assistant then became very angry and accused me of being a liar, and accused me of only asking for the camera to be replaced!!. I argued that this was not true. Eventually I was given back the £75.
I have since found out that to fix the the face recognition can only be carried out by Apple.
ICrack are con artists and scammers. They took £75 for a fix that they knew would not work!
Also beware that there appears to be 2 companies with the same name. 'ICrack' & 'ICrack Phone'.
iPad screen replaced and now won’t charge…
iPad screen replaced and now it won’t charge. Went back and rudely told its not their problem despite charging fine that morning.
Horrible shop and horrible people
Iphone replacement battery…
The shop assistant tried to do his best but obviously did not have the skill or knowledge to change the battery in my iphone. He tried 3 different batteries over 3 days but none would accept a charge and he tried to insist the phone should be sent to his "laboratory" for testing. In the end I asked for a refund which he reluctantly gave. This cost me dearly in fuel for 3 trips back to the shop and was very stressful as I am moving house and it was my only phone. I would not recommend them.
Faulty screen
Went to ICrack Salisbury to get my tablet screen fixed in August as my daughter uses it sometimes and I was worried about the glass getting into her fingers. The overall turnaround to get the part and fix the tablet was good. The quality of work was not. The screen is clearly not the correct size as the button now wobbles (never did before) and we've had countless issues with the screen not responding. You can definitely tell the screen itself is not of good quality and clearly cheap as within three months it chipped on the edge which has now turned into a crack... Something I don't know how it could have happened if the screen was fitted correctly/was the right size. Contacted ICrack to ask if the screen was in fact the correct size for the tablet. They responded with the T&C's of their warranty policy which I didn't ask for and ASSUMED that as I am replacing the screen cover, I must have dropped the tablet and 'the screen got damaged through the protector when the tablet was dropped'. ironically the screen protector wasn't damaged at all and the chip was on the edge NOT under the protector. Clearly stated to them that the reason I was replacing the screen cover was to see if that changed the issue with screen response (which they ignored), I didn't want to go straight to blaming the screen without testing a new protector. I can 100% say the fault is the screen they replaced. 10/10 for poor customer service. I wont be returning as even with a faulty screen the warranty means nothing, the moment you mention a crack they don't want to know, never mind the fact that its their shoddy work which is the problem! My advice would be to go somewhere that values their customers, doesn't ignore them and will actually take their time to investigate issues instead of assuming.

I had my screen replaced at this store and ever since my phone screen has been flicking which has now resulted in my battery optimisation being reduced significantly! I went back into the store today to ask if they could look into the issue, I was advised that I would need to replace my battery at my own expense! Given I’m a reasonable person, I suggested I’d be willing to pay 50% - but I was sent on my way! Awful customer service, and an overall terrible service!!

Took my mums IPhone in today
Took my mums IPhone in today. It was very hard to hear when someone called her and it was very stressful for her as it’s her lifeline. We couldn’t afford a new phone. The team were amazing. Keen to help and when the first solution of cleaning out the slot only partially solved the problem they took the phone apart and worked their magic. 30 minutes later and it was like new. Thank you boys for working out what the problem and solving it (whatever you did!)
Took an iPad Pro in for a new screen
Took an iPad Pro in for a new screen. It worked perfectly. Paid over £200 and when we picked it up the screen had lines. We insisted they sort it out and they tried charging us. Just went to collect again and there are still lines. They’re now saying it’s the motherboard and want another £30 to diagnose and then more to repair. They also agreed it was not brought in with the lines. We’ve cut our losses but I would advise against trusting them
Don’t go
Screen didn’t work and when I took it back with videos of it not working had a very bad attitude and said nothing they can do about it whilst taking the screen off leaving me without one.

I couldn't recommend this place more! My main phone's screen stopped working so went to Vodafone and was told i would lose my data if they send it off, then i was recommend to go to ICrack to do the data transfer. Lovely Sam couldn't of been more helpful, it was a long 4 hours to transfer all my data, images, videos etc to my old phone. Sam even stayed open 2 hours more until it was finished and even charged £5 less for the service. Due to my autism, situations like this stress me out but with how lovely Sam was, it distracted me. He was lovely to my mum too! They sell lovely phone cases too! Thank you for everything Sam & ICrack Southampton team! I will never forget this. I highly recommend ICrack Southampton

ICrack is a One Mobile Phone shop for all your repairs on mobile phones , tablets and even computers ! Awesome friendly and helpful, professional Staff , with great service , Smiles and prices ! I can speak from experience and love visiting even just to check out new accessories of a decent selection and good quality items they feature ! Not only did I managed to get my phone fixed by them properly, I also managed to grab some pre- Xmas stocking stuffers and birthday items , in all it is worth to check it all out and highly 5 *****+ recommend it very much so to anyone ! They are very efficient and open 7 days a week , which is very convenient!

Horrific company they have destroyed the circuitboard or hardware in my iPhone 12 while replacing my rear screen. No offer of fixing or refund aside from software re-set which I have tried and does not work. DO NOT USE THIS STORE EVER

On my first visit the guys were helpful resolved my issue, and asked for me to do a review, was happy to until I went in less than 2 days later as that was my first available time to go in, the man was very unhelpful, wouldn't give me his name so i could contact the headoffice, I didn't expect a screen protector to break the same day I got it!! (Hadn't dropped my phone) the customer service I received was very poor.
AVOID ICRACK
Icrack replaced my google pixel 6 pro with what i can only describe as a nock off screen. Everything about the screen is different to the original and nothing works like it used to. The thumb scan doesn't work any more the picture looks different, doll in colour. The touch is twitching and the response on it is the worst. I didn't get a receipt and had to pay cash only. when I went in and asked him about the thumb scan not working and why the screen different all he had to say is "that's the replacement screens we buy and the thumb scan will work after a system update" when I asked him to write that on paper to resort trust between myself and him he refused. I was ripped off £250 that I do not have like any of us at the moment. please avoid this scam artist we do not need shops like his in canterbury.

fitting a screen protector
I purchased a screen protector from a different store and the guy in the Bournemouth shop fitted it for me, taking a lot of care and wouldn't accept any payment, which was most refreshing
Avoid Salisbury ICrack for screen repair
Avoid Salisbury ICrack for screen replacement. They replaced my IPhone XR screen. The new screen connector didn't locate correctly into the apple circuit board connector. Once connected it couldn’t be removed. The guy that runs the shop ripped the apple connector from the board trying to release their screens connector 3 weeks after he had fitted it. When he ripped the apple connector from the circuit board he put the phone back together, told me he didn’t want to try and separate his screens connector from the circuit board as they were stuck together and he didn’t want to damage the circuit board. He told me he could send the whole phone for repair and I’d have to pay more money to have the connectors separated. I told him that the screen that he was saying was stuck was fitted by him 3 weeks prior and was under warranty so the connector should be separated free of charge. He refused to accept this. Raised his voice. Tried to be intimidating. Told me I wasn’t listening to what he was telling me. He repeated over and over again that he wouldn’t work on the phone because he didn’t want to risk separating the connectors incase the boards connector was ripped from the board in the process.
He kept raising his voice. Became more and more argumentative. Postured aggressively with his body language. Told me if I wasn’t happy to go through trading standards!
I took the phone to another phone repair company along the street and asked them to carefully open the phone infront of me so I could see what he was talking about inside the phone. As the phone was delicately opened infront of me it became clear to see that he had already ripped the connector from the board. So had damaged the phone circuit board, lied about it then used a raised voice and argumentative manner to mug me off.
I returned to the ICrack store to tell him what I’d discovered. He became argumentative again. Raising his voice again. Denying causing the damage.
I asked for the owners contact number he refused to give it. He instead gave me his own contact number, so that I had no way to escalate my complaint beyond him.
I called ICrack in Southampton. They listened to that explanation. Said let me call him, he has caused that damage. It will be repaired at his cost. Told me to call back in 20 mins. I called the Southampton store back 30 mins later they told me to take the phone to the Salisbury store. It would be sent for free repair. Thank you ICrack Southampton. Excellent service.
I did just this. The guy in the Salisbury store started trying to argue again that those people in Southampton were junior to him. I hadn’t even managed to speak to his boss, like that somehow scored him points. He again denied damaging the phone. He said he would send it for free repair but wouldn’t give me a written receipt to say he’d taken the phone from me. When I said I needed one as I didn’t trust him he called the police and tried to make out I was being threatening to try and get me to leave the store with no receipt. The police said they could hear I wasn’t threatening and he should just write me a receipt and I’d leave.
He then called me after I’d left to say I should respect him and if I came back to collect my phone and raised my voice to him he would keep my phone.
I’m not sure what planet this guy is on so when I collected my phone I recorded a video of him. Luckily for me in this video he admitted that he damaged the connector because the screen he had fitted the first time was POOR QUALITY. But he explained It has been repaired now with a proper quality screen. However he argued that because the repair was carried out free of charge he shouldn’t have to give a warranty with the screen.
Avoid this shop and this individual at all costs. There are two other screen repair shops in Salisbury within a 1 minute walk.
iCrack Bath Branch - Broke my display and damaged the battery
So I went to iCrack's store in Union Street in Bath on Sunday 11th June 2023 after being told via email they could replace the damaged back glass on my son's iPhone 12 Mini, which was damaged by the camera housing. Quoted a price of £89 and told to come back in two hours.
Upon returning to the store, I saw the man behind the counter working on the phone and replacing the front display of the phone, which was not damaged and did not need replacing.
I queried this and he said he dropped it, managing to crack the ceramic shield display and therefore was replacing it. I queried whether it was being replaced with a genuine OEM Apple iPhone 12 Mini display, and was informed no, but he would order me one in, to swap out later in the week.
Having then glued the new glass back panel on the phone, which he stuck down with sellotape, my son then tried to see if Face ID would work - which it did not. The man in the shop said this was due to the sellotape which couldn't be removed for four hours, until the back panel glue had dried.
When we got back to the car, we noticed the casing of the phone had been scratched and it was at this point, that I decided to remove the sellotape from the front display and got my son to once again try Face ID.
Lo and behold, Face ID did not work. So we had the front display damaged by iCrack which they subsequently replaced with a sub standard display rendering Face ID inoperable.
On the journey home, my son noticed that the phone was also getting hot and it was at this point he went to the battery settings - Only to find that iOS was reporting the battery to be not a genuine apple part.
As it was now out of hours, I visited the shop first thing on the following morning of Monday 12th June.
Apparently he forgot to tell me about replacing the battery - and at first tried to blame its damage on the back glass being cracked - the same back glass that was the only thing wrong with the phone until we gave it to iCrack to fix.
Absolute rubbish, especially as the battery housing is located at the bottom of the phone and nowhere near the camera housing.
In short iCrack, in replacing the back glass of the phone, also changed what was until in their hands a perfectly good as new front display and also removed the fully working genuine Apple battery, for a substandard non Apple battery.
I asked to see the Apple battery which they took out of the phone and they gave it to me. It has been punctured in the bottom right hand corner. No wonder they 'forgot' to tell me.
I was promised they would order a genuine Apple Display and also a genuine Apple battery and fit both to my son's iPhone 12 Mini once they receive them.
In addition I also pointed out the scratch marks to the casing which they had done whilst the phone was in their care.
So the following Saturday on 17th June 2023 I returned to the store with the phone and was told to come back in 2 hours.
I came back and was shown the phone with the display off, proudly holding a battery with an apple logo stamped on it.
They had also replaced the casing. On securing the display I then checked Face ID and it worked. However iOS was reporting both the display and the battery as NON Apple parts - with the person in the iCrack Store telling me this is due to the logic board not recognising them as original parts.
So I thought ok, phone is working, case no longer scratched and Face ID works, I'll pop into the Apple Store and check with them, if what he says is actually true, on the way back to car.
I was informed by one of the staff at the Apple Store, that 'grey' market batteries do get sold with the Apple logo on them, which are not actually Apple OEM approved parts.
So got home and gave my son his phone. Only for within half an hour the battery giving up the ghost. The Apple Logo comes on for a few seconds then it powers down.
I videoed this and emailed iCrack Bath and popped into the store on Sunday 18th June. I was told it must be a faulty battery and they will order another one from another supplier.
This was over a week ago and I have held back posting this review, to give them a chance. But as it stands, some 16 days after giving iCrack my son's iPhone 12 Mini to replace the back glass, it currently does not work.
The genuine ceramic shield display which was perfectly fine has been replaced by a 'moody' replacement and the battery which was working perfectly, until the phone was handed over to them, does not work, with the original having been punctured by iCrack Bath.
I will be taking this further, including Trading Standards.
For anyone that has any apple devices, do what I have done with my later devices, purchase Apple Care - DO NOT whatsoever hand over your valuable devices to these cowboys at iCrack Bath.
