Fantastic service!

AVOID: Refuses to honor warranties, installs defective parts, and blames the customer to avoid financial loss.

I paid £245 for a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra screen replacement here on Feb 27th. Within a month, the screen suffered a progressive internal electrical failure. It started with expanding dead pixels, followed by a horizontal scan line, and finally, the bottom half of the display completely died.
The outer Gorilla Glass is 100% flawless with zero cracks. Furthermore, the touch digitizer still works perfectly across the "dead" half of the screen. Anyone with basic technical knowledge knows this proves it is an internal OLED panel failure or a defective installation, NOT external physical impact.
When I returned for a warranty claim, the owner tried to claim I broke it with "keys in my pocket." However, I speak Hindi/Punjabi, and I clearly overheard the owner and his technician discussing that their supplier wouldn't accept the defective screen back for a refund. Because they couldn't get their money back from the supplier, they decided to lie and blame me to avoid absorbing the cost.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the burden of proof is on the shop to prove customer damage if a fault occurs within the first 6 months. They have no proof because the glass is pristine. The owner flat-out refused to give me a written rejection of my warranty claim and subsequently ignored my written messages. Protect your money and go to a reputable shop that actually honors its warranties.

During the £275 cash transaction, we were initially underpaid by £100. When this was pointed out, the additional £100 was handed over.

Unfortunately, those notes turned out to be five counterfeit £20 notes. 💷❌

We returned to the shop the following day, and the notes were taken back immediately, without any questions about where they had come from.

Make of that what you will.

For anyone selling devices or handling cash transactions, it’s a good reminder to always check notes before leaving the premises.

All the serial numbers were all the same, and the lovely workers in Schuh pointed out these fakes and what else to look for, and they kindly checked over the exchanged notes for us.

Avoid iCrack Chelmsford.

Southampton store

Went to the Southampton store to get case and screen protector for my new phone. The lady was friendly, professional and helpful putting the screen protector on, and the £25 odd cost was reasonable.

A couple of days later I noticed an annoying air bubble under the screen protector. I took it back to the shop and they replaced it free of charge. So much better. Thank you ☺️🙏🏽🙏🏽

Cheap replacement parts

I took my wife’s phone in to Icrack for replacement screen and battery and was told it would be Apple replacement parts, the phone was always hot to hold after that, today I took it to a different shop and was told that the parts were not Apple but cheap replacements, I will not be going back to Icrack ever again

Took Samsung a05s for a screen replacement unfortunately two weeks later the speakers and microphone developed intermittent working then not.
Took phone back explaining problems that weren't there before screen replacement .
They replaced the screen again and said it was a faulty speaker...
We said leave it but I also watch how they glued the back on ..
They didn't remove old factory glue seal and used a generic superglue to glue it back together then stuck cellotape around it to help the 24 hour glue to set.
I would not recommend 😐 or go there again for anything...

I took my MacBook M1 in for a screen…

I took my MacBook M1 in for a screen replacement. Before the repair, the laptop was fully functional when connected to an external display, including the keyboard.

After the first repair attempt, the screen did not close properly and the hinges were extremely stiff. I returned to the shop and was told a new part would be ordered and the issue corrected.

When I collected the laptop after the second visit, the screen issue had been resolved, but a new fault had appeared: the keyboard no longer works, despite it working perfectly before the repair. This issue only occurred after the laptop was reopened and worked on again.

I raised this immediately, but I was not offered a refund and the situation escalated instead of being resolved professionally. I now have a laptop in worse condition than when I first brought it in.

I expected reasonable care and proper testing after repairs. Unfortunately, my experience involved repeated faults after each visit and no satisfactory resolution.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious and to fully check all functionality before leaving the shop In Southampton. I would avoid going there.

Great service

Great service - repaired my phone charging port and replaced the battery for free when the first repair did not work. I went back and bought a new Samsung and great MacBook at a great price. Recommended.

iPad screen “fix”

I took my iPad mini to this store for a screen replacement. Paid £145 - at the time I was quoted more like £160 and I was given some discount after a discussion with the staff.

Anyway, I was told it would be the highest quality official and I needed it done so I paid it. Left it with them for a week and went to pick it up today.

I had to wait to collect as it wasn’t charged - as soon as it turned on I noticed the screen had a blueish hue, it looked cheap and not official at all. On top of this the home button was now broken, they had enabled the touch assist so obviously had done this and not told me before handing it over… to add to this the case I left it in was also broken. Just shocking service all round. £145 down with a dodgy screen, broken home button and a broken case.

I asked for a full refund and they gave me some rubbish about how it was done while he was away so he couldn’t monitor the work being carried out. Whatever… this was just lies.

They said I could leave it with them and they fix the home button and fit a new screen. After the terrible service and overpriced work that just didn’t make sense.

I could only have a refund if they took off the new screen (they had binned the old) one so I was left with no other option but to have the screen removed and walk away with a refund. They gave me a store credit for the damaged case which I won’t be using.

Just don’t use this company , go elsewhere - there is a lovely man down the road to FoneSolutions.
