I visited trustpilot before making my purchase and didn't heed the warnings. I advise you don't make the same mistake, choose another company.

I purchased four signs from this company on the 10th July. I had to contact them via their website to chase the proofs as all correspondence goes into my spam folder.
The website states a 7-10 working day service, my items weren't dispatched until the 5th Aug, almost a month after purchase.
This was only a minor problem and had their been better communication regarding the slow production i would have had no issue.

When i finally received the signs, i was generally pleased with appearance, despite their fixing method being of lower quality than shown on the website (one plastic rod is poorly fixed off-centre with a large amount of adhesive, the website shows two evenly spaced rods).

Upon inspection of one of the signs, i noticed two
visible splits on one corner. I contacted Lucy via email, who i had chased during the slow production. She said that the splits were from the sawing process and that they won't be damaged from frost getting into them over winter (I highly doubt this).

Whether the signs become damaged further or not, i have paid for four signs, and one of them is visibly damaged along with confirmation of this from the manufacturers. I expressed this back to Lucy via email to which she ignored for 11 days.

When she did reply she offered no solution and tried to dismiss me. Upon further chasing they offered a refund for the sign in question, they also clearly stated they were not willing to remake this sign (I offered to return the damaged sign if i were to receive a replacement).

Most of you will come to the realisation that this leaves me with 3 signs and no option of obtaining a fourth matching sign. Housesigns.wales probably also realise this and are essentially holding me ransom with this fact.

The customer service has been frosty and short throughout and i have little to no trust in this company. I either have to put up the damaged sign or return it and hope that 1) They actually refund me 2) I can find a like for like replacement, which i don't think is possible.

Replacing the damaged sign could have salvaged the situation. Housesigns.wales weren't willing to do so, even though they claim they will on their website. avoid this company and go elsewhere.

I highly recommend House Signs Wales for the beautiful craftmanship of their products as well as their excellent customer service. Ordering, using the mock-up signs, was really clear and easy. They were quick to respond to any enquiries I had and met my request to have the sign delivered when I wanted it. A really excellent experience dealing with them.

We ordered three sizes, which Lucy and the team took a great deal of care to make similar font and size. We went for the welsh slate, with white lettering. Beautifully made, excellently protected in transit, very high quality and at a remarkable price considering the materials and quality of execution. Very highly recommended for anyone wanting something which fits simply with a size 8 drill bit and some silicone - easy as you would hope for and delighted with the appearance.

This Company deserves a 5* review BUT only being for uncoperative, unhelpful, unreliable and misleading. Don't touch them unless you enjoy chasing, being lied to and having communications ignored. Sign not delivered after 7/10 days as stated on website, told it would be 2/3 weeks, no delivery after that time, no response to email so set up Paypal dispute which magically produced the product Website misleading on costs, VAT and delivery added after ordering. Product finally arrived 5 plus weeks after ordering. Sign itself ok but pins crudely stuck in and holes on posts too large for pins, no information on how to attach posts.

Delighted with our house sign, great quality/ value for money and honestly exceeded expectation.
It did take a month to arrive, and I did chase it a few times with Lucy via online chat which was always available and my queries were answered straight away, with arrival estimation updated.
I have awarded 5 stars as feel this company have delivered during difficult times.

Great quality sign. I’ve just put it up this morning and already had positive feedback from neighbours. It didn’t take as long to arrive as I expected, especially in the current situation. Thanks so much for such a great service and good communication throughout.

Just received my slate sign, it took a while but it was worth the wait, it’s stunning, very good quality and comes with the hidden fixtures to put it into the wall. It took just under a month to come however we are in the middle of a pandemic so that’s understandable, but seriously lovely I love it.

Absolutely horrible company. I really didn't think to check reviews for this company as I figured it was just a house sign I wanted. I mean how can you screw up something simple like that? You just make the sign and send it right? Well not in this case. So May 26th I order my sign. No word from them 10 days later, so I drop them an email to ask when will sign be arriving. Got reply June 9th:
Morning xxxx
Still with us at the moment sorry, but will leave us early next week, you will receive an email from paypal when it leaves with all the tracking info..........

So heard nothing again for nearly 2 weeks so decided to email on June 24th and got this reply on June 25th:
Hi xxxx,

Were still waiting on a slate piece large enough to come in, wont be ready for another week at the moment.

So before in their email they said it was still with them but now magically its all changed and we're still waiting on the slate piece!!

So I then ask Customer services
Hi xxxx
Are you able to confirm that this will be no later than next week?
You said in last email it was leaving you 2 weeks ago! And now it doesn't sound very positive.
We are ready to have wall rendered and need sign ASAP to put in the wall.

So over a month after the order was placed they still couldn't confirm anything despite misleading me in the earlier email.

I asked for a refund therefore on June 25th and they said ok and that they will pass it on to their accounts.

Well nothing again for the next couple of weeks and so I had to escalate dispute to Paypal in order to get the refund which I just got today, over 3 weeks later!! Incredible.

Anyway got the sign made and delivered, at a lower cost I may add, within 1 week from another company.
So stay away from these guys and look elsewhere is my advice....

I have just received my house sign and can honestly say I am over the moon! From the beginning, Lucy in Customer Services was extremely helpful and replied quickly to my every question and query. I designed the sign, was sent a proof and the finished product is even better than I had hoped . Yes it takes a while (1 month from start to finish for me) but is well worth the wait ! I am a very proud Welsh Girl and delighted with my Welsh Slate sign, complete with beautiful Daffodils. I most definitely recommend Housesigns.wales. Thanks again.

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
House Number. Cost of item £12. Price paid £20.34. Using HouseSignWales pricing system as a guide the breakdown of cost will be found at the end of the review.
The Good: Lovely smooth, square piece of slate 130 x 130cm. Clear numbers.
The Bad. 20% VAT. To be added to item on reaching payment (stated). 20% VAT. To be added to Delivery Charge (not stated). True cost not visible until after payment. Reminds me of Ryanair's old pricing system.
The Ugly. The secret fixing is glue which is not provided and a long plastic pin (fitted and glue spread clumsily over the back to hold it in place). They do not have the skill to fit the pin in the centre so the glue is essential if the sign is to hang straight. Had I known the sign had to be glued to the house wall I would not have purchased this particular sign. I may want to change it again some day.
Cost of sign £12, delivery charge £4.98, total including 20% VAT £20.34.

Very happy with the sign, it gives a finishing touch to our Welsh cottage. A Christmas present for my husband, it arrived securely wrapped and in time for Christmas considering I was rather late placing the order. Very glad Lucy sent a proof and changing my mind about a few things was no problem for her.
The quality was better than expected. As we drive around Wales I look at other people’s house signs and usually think ours is much better.

Appalling experience. No delivery a month from order, refusal to refund and suggested I wait and see if it turned up or chase the courier myself. Sarcastic responses from Lucy of customer services who said she looked forward to receiving a court claim and refused to confirm the legal entity under which they are trading. Do not trust these people with your money.

I am delighted with my new house sign. I researched several different companies before settling upon this one. Their customer service and product is excellent. I also paid less than I had anticipated for a sign of this quality. Thank you.

I cannot express how happy we are with this company. My husband designed the sign and Housesigns match it perfectly from the visual. It was a very smooth process with clear communication and not long to wait for the sign to arrive, securely wrapped up. Super pleased.

If you are looking for a hassle free experience - then I suggest you look elsewhere. Believe me when I say I am not in the habit of leaving negative reviews, but this company have certainly lit a fire within and I feel it necessary to warn others. If I had bothered to read the reviews alarm bells would have sounded and I certainly would not have entered into any dealings with this company.
Admittedly, the website is very professional and incredibly easy to use and the price of the product was reasonable compared to others I had looked at.
I placed an order on 11th April with the website advising delivery within a 3-5 day period. Excellent! I did appreciate, however, that this was probably over ambitious bearing in mind that the country is in lockdown at the present time. I received the confirmation e-mail the next day which I confirmed and then waited.
By 20th April I hadn't heard anything so phoned and spoke with a gentleman who advised that the signs were being dispatched on Wednesday and I would receive a confirmation e-mail along with a tracking number. Well, to cut a long story short - no e-mail was received, numerous e-mails/phone calls were made during which we were spoken to by a very rude man who asked if we wanted the sign or a refund. We requested a refund which was promised that evening. Instead of a refund, we received an e-mail advising that no refund would be issued as the sign had been despatched! No tracking number was provided until Friday 24th. The sign eventually arrived Wednesday 29th.
This whole process has been a complete fiasco - lies from the beginning to the end - why they felt the need to lie is beyond me.
Needless to say - I will NEVER be using this company again - I do not enjoy being lied to and never receiving a straightforward answer to any of my e-mails.
However, despite the above - the product looks good and appears to be good quality - they just need to work on the customer service side of the business.

I like this company! From the ordering process (Simple, clear and intuitive), the customer service (every e-mail was answered clearly and promptly, I didn't phone, I figured that they had better things to do and I could wait for a response). The sign was delivered a little late but considering that it was Easter, the country was shut down and I live on the Isle of Man it very good. The sign itself was perfect, securely wrapped, beautifully engraved and enamelled with very clear instructions for fixing it to my gatepost. All in all a great experience and purchase. Thank you. I am recommending to friends and acquaintances.

Very happy with my experience with Housesigns.wales. I liked the whole ordering experience, it was very easy, simple to use. Once the order had gone, they promptly sent a proof to me, I actually changed my mind on the colour of lettering, this was no problem, I was kept informed. The sign came today and I really love it! Not too expensive for a nice piece of slate :-)
