Made my order for the first time and…

Made my order for the first time and just say from start to finish, it was so easy.
My order arrived on time and the dress fitted perfectly. Thank you and you are such a great find. Will definitely shop again as have my eyes on a few pieces already.

Scam company

Scam company. Avoid!
Terrible quality of product and customer service. The product that I received was very cheap and of poor quality. The returns portal doesn't work, which makes it very difficult to return the item. I paid for postage as advised previously by customer service. Since then, I have sent several emails regarding my return, and although I have proof of postage, they haven't responded to my emails, and they haven't refunded me either. I am being completely ignored. I wouldn't recommend.

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service

I’m genuinely disgusted with the level of customer service I’ve received. I accidentally sent a return parcel to Double Second instead of the correct retailer, and I contacted them immediately. Their auto-reply promised a response within three working days, yet it’s now well beyond that and I’ve had no update at all.

The parcel was delivered to their warehouse and is in their possession, but they haven’t even confirmed whether it’s been located. I also can’t return their own items because I’m still waiting for a replacement returns label, which I requested straight away.

I’ve done everything I can to fix this quickly and fairly, but the complete lack of communication has left me seriously worried the parcel could be misplaced. If that happens, I lose my refund through no fault of my own.

This entire experience has been stressful, unacceptable and totally avoidable. I’m shocked that a company can handle a simple issue with such disregard for its customers. I honestly expected much better.

I emailed on the 10th and received a response the day I added the review (19th) So if you want a response quickly, add a review!

Please note, we are currently in our busy periods therefore, our team is doing our best to reply to customer’s email which may take up to 3-7 working days.

We truly value every customer’s experience, and it’s disappointing to learn that you felt let down — even in a situation where the issue was outside of our control. Although we were not at fault in this instance, your satisfaction still matters deeply to us therefore, our warehouse team has looked for your parcel and regrettably, we are unable to locate the parcel – it looks like it was delivered elsewhere in Greenwich or despite the tracking showing it was delivered, Royal Mail has failed to deliver and we have not received the parcel. I do apologise on behalf of Royal Mail on this matter; they have been a big let-down to us too.

Please also note, as you have purchased through a 3rd party platform, your contract is with Debenhams therefore, please contact Debenhams Customer Service for any further queries as according to our contract, we are not allowed to reach out or reply to their customers.

Beautiful purchase and swift delivery

The trousers arrived in good time and were even better as shown and described on the website. They also fit perfectly and have a quality finish to them. I'm a very satisfied customer!

Terrible experience

I contacted both Debenhams and yourself several times about my return. I returned the dress in a completely re-saleable state with photos to prove. I have just realised from previous reviews that you have used this same excuse several times to avoid a genuine return with other customers - totally unethical and unacceptable.

UNPAID Labour at Double Second

I didn’t have a great experience dealing with Double Second due to their non-response to address an issue with a dress. Ultimately, I was horrified to learn their business runs on unpaid labour. Despite Double Second’s claim of having “an ethical approach from start to end”, at the time of writing this review, Double Second is advertising multiple unpaid vacancies on a known exploitative job board platform that allows companies like Double Second to advertise unpaid work in the fashion industry. An ethical approach from start to end? Yeah right!

Update 29/7 - Double Second have responded with lies and mistruths to this review. The pitiful excuse provided about their unpaid vacancies being "fully compliant with legal standards" is made-up garbage, and nothing more than exploitation with jazzy wording in an attempt to justify their twisted view of unpaid labour. At the time of this update, Double Second is still advertising multiple unpaid vacancies. Double Second is not ethical!

Absolute cowboys

Absolute cowboys, tried on a brand new dress . Nasty cheap material , cheap (ordered through Silk Fred) received the dress back with some crappy photocopied note, saying I haven't met the criteria. No photo proof nothing..... looking at other reviews they do this alot. No one likes dishonest and businesses that act in a fraudulent way.Unlucky for them I am qualified in Law they are clearly not. Miss Yeomon Emily Cheung clearly you do not understand the laws of the UK .Look bad on Silk Fred too that they associate with this business. Currently you have been reported to Trading Standards and the Local Council within the borough of your "Fake registered office", also the Insolvency Service, the FCA and Action Fraud.
I have checked their business on companies house (see below)

We take all customer feedback seriously and aim to resolve any concerns fairly and professionally. However, your review goes far beyond a standard service complaint. It contains inflammatory, racially charged language and personal attacks that are both inappropriate and unacceptable.
Your decision to publicly disclose my full legal name, followed by the statement that I “clearly do not understand the laws of the UK,” is highly offensive. When placed in the context of my Chinese name, this remark carries clear racial connotations, implying that I am either foreign or incapable of understanding UK law based on my ethnicity. This is a discriminatory and xenophobic assertion, and it has no place in public discourse.
For clarity: I was born and raised in the United Kingdom. My business is legally registered, fully transparent, and compliant with all applicable UK laws and regulations. Our registered office address is accurate and listed correctly on Companies House. The accusation that I am operating a fraudulent business is entirely false and appears to be rooted in prejudiced assumptions about my background.
We have reported your review to Trustpilot for violating their content guidelines and are formally classifying this incident as a hate incident due to the racially motivated implications of your statements. Personal attacks based on race or ethnicity are deeply harmful and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
We are committed to treating all customers with respect, and we expect the same in return. You may disagree with the outcome of your refund request, but the language and tone you have used are entirely inappropriate and defamatory.
For the record, I have reviewed your order. Our customer service team correctly declined your refund request because the item was returned outside of our stated returns period. This information was clearly communicated to SilkFred at the time and they provided us with a label to return the item back to you. If you were given inaccurate information, it appears that this originated from SilkFred, not from us.

Terrible business, don’t order from here ever!

I ordered a jumpsuit via Debenhams and returned it in perfect condition without touching the ribbon and without having worn it. To my surprise, the clothing was returned to me a couple of days later with a note listing 6 generic reasons as to why they are unable to process my refund, one of the reasons being I should try the shoes on indoors. I ordered a jumpsuit! What has shoes got to do with the item. I will never be ordering from such a sham of a company again. Whoever is considering ordering from Double Second I strongly advise you don’t. Waste of time money and effort

Not a great company to order from

Not a great company to order from. I returned an item that wasn't taken out of bag and they said I'd returned it with a stain on it so I could not be refunded.
I contacted them numerous times but they would not refund. So now stuck with a bill for a dress I don't want.

Upon dispatching and receiving the parcel, our trained QC team checks the garment to ensure it’s in a saleable condition, unfortunately your item was not received in a saleable condition as it had stains on the garment therefore, we cannot deem this as saleable as it will not be fair for the next customer.

Amazing customer service from MInhee

Amazing customer service from MInhee! This is an example of what good customer service should be like. We communicated via email, the replies we concise and clear. I cannot fault the returns process. I will definitely order from here again with the reassurance that if the product isn’t right I can return for a n exchange or refund that is made easy with the Fabtastic communication! I had an issue with the delivery of my…

I had an issue with the delivery of my item I ordered from double second. I payed for next day delivery which I did not get. Contacted Royal mail who was not helpful at all in anyway. I contacted a double Second directly they got back to me within a couple of hours assuring me they had dispatched my item. They would keep an eye on the delivery and offered me the delivery charge refund. Minhee was so hopefully keeping me up to date making sure I got the delivery charge back. Yes things go wrong puts what is done to put it right for me. My coat did arrive on the Saturday and not the Friday which I wanted it for my night out. I have wore it. Looks fab and is warm. Would recommend. Thank you so much Minhee for all your help and service. Ever got a problem please don't be afraid to contact double second who are really helpful. I would purchase items again in the future. Thanks again. Kind Regards
