I am very disappointed to have been overcharged
I am very disappointed to have been overcharged. I paid £148 for a basic DBS check, while the same check costs only £21.50 on the official government website.
The company justifies this by citing SMS and email updates, which is not enough to justify a fee that is seven times higher. With the government service, you still get sufficient updates without being bombarded with messages.
Under Consumer rights act 2015 this is unfair extremely high fee.
To make matters worse, my employer did not accept their summary document and asked for a share code to verify my result directly on the government website. When I contacted the company for this code, they said they could not provide one and that I had to contact the official Barring service instead. This caused me further issues and wasted a significant amount of money.

Many customers choose our service because they prefer help completing applications rather than navigating the process alone.
Regarding pricing:
Our fee covers the full support service we provide, not just the government fee for the certificate itself. This is clearly stated before payment is made, and customers must confirm they understand this before proceeding. We appreciate that some people prefer to apply directly through the Government website, and that option is always available.
On the share code issue:
Basic DBS checks do not automatically generate a share code. These codes are issued directly by the Disclosure and Barring Service, and only they can provide or reset them. When customers require a share code, we always direct them to the correct issuing authority so they can access their certificate securely.
We understand this situation has been frustrating for you, and we would be happy to review your case in full. If you can provide your order number, our team will ensure everything has been handled correctly and offer further support where possible.

To clarify, we do not deliver DBS certificates. All certificates are issued and posted directly by the Disclosure and Barring Service (the Government). Our role is to support customers with the application process and submit the completed application on their behalf. Once the DBS has issued the certificate, delivery is entirely handled by them.
If an attempted delivery was recorded while the recipient was home, we completely understand how frustrating that must be. We can contact the DBS or the courier they use to help investigate what happened, but we rely on the information they provide.

Exceptional Service
I needed an Urgent Standard DBS check completed on 2 people and had a tight delaine to work to.
I had contacted 2 other companies before calling DBS and DBS were the only ones happy to help me out. I contacted the other companies as they were cheaper then DBS but as is so often the case you get for what you pay for.
Raeesa answered the call and she was amazing from start to finish. She understood it was time critical and did everything she could to get the application completed and sent in.

Very quick process, all confirmed within one day. One point of feed back, the identity checker software the camera images kept coming out blurry, but could upload separately so still worked.

I feel like I've been mugged.
£112 for a few words in an email is a rip-off.
Dbscheckonline is just another company making huge amounts of money out of distrust.
I'M NOT IMPRESSED and would never recommend this company to anyone.
A DBS Check using the gov uk website costs £21.50 and takes 3 days.
Although an email summary was sent to me within hours of my application. The paper certificate was no quicker than the £21.50 check would have been, and I didn't receive a share code.

One of the great experiences I had using DBS Check Online is 'Ease of Use'- the application process is simple and user-friendly. Navigation and completing their DBS check online is easy. The other thing I noticed is the speed: fast turnaround times, with results within a few days.

This was a very expensive service
This was a very expensive service, it cost £160.40 for a basic check. When queried I was told I had purchased additional features. Apparently that cost extortionate money to check a picture.
When asked about this they said it was standard pricing. Would be much cheaper to do on Gov website. Absolutely no benefit for this service, and certainly not an additional £140.00 I also keep getting requested to do further ID checks, which no doubt will cost even more money. There is no invoice or breakdown of cost, so until you get you statement you have no idea
