One of there drivers cut me off then gave me the finger and when calling the office to complain, got told to complain to the council then hung up! Brilliant customer service NOT!!

Booked a City Cab thinking it was a recognised Edinburgh firm and was badly let down. Needed to get across town to take a bride and her father to her wedding and left plenty of time for the journey. Cab didn't turn up at booked time. No prior call. No text msg. Said they were 'busy'. Told to wait 15mins. Still no cab after that. No apology. Phoned again. Neighbour drove me instead. Txt from City Cabs saying driver was "on his way" after 21mins. Utterly disgraceful service.

Hotel 5 minutes from airport, taxi arrived on time for pick up. Driver of taxi 118, told that there where fixed prices to the airport of 20 pound, not using meter? We where suspicius and asked for a receipt and got it. Though the driver wrote taxi number 186 on it ? Do not use this compagny if they do not have decent drivers. Insident is reported to the lokal police

Really friendly and efficient from the minute you book on line or by phone-communication really great and cabs very clean and drivers very friendly-felt really looked after with the arrival updates

As City cabs don't respond it is pointless giving details here but I will no longer use them for customers who request a taxi at my place of business due to unprofessional controllers who man the phones.

Ordered a taxi for an early morning pick up, which was booked using the App as advised. The taxi was to take me to the airport so time was key. After waiting for 10 minutes after the pick up time I phoned to be told that the driver hadn't even left the depot and it would be at least another 20 minutes before I could expect to see the taxi. This meant I was likely to miss my flight once I'd got through security etc. I explained I'd pre-booked in order to avoid this issue, woman wasn't apologetic and told me that is just an 'approximate' time and there are no guarantees of getting a taxi at the time you want. What is the point in booking? Avoid and stick to Uber or another firm

The fact that City Cabs don’t make any attempt to respond to any of the reviews says it all really doesn’t it

I booked a taxi to get to a hospital appointment, scheduled so that I would arrive 15 minutes early. The City Cabs taxi did not appear on time so, having an account, I logged in - it was "minutes away". That fiction continued for 10 minutes and then another 10. I phoned and was told the same fairy story. When I phoned the second and third times my call was answered but immediately disconnected - they knew who I was because my number is registered with my account. A taxi sub-contracted from another company eventually arrived but sent to the wrong, fortunately nearby, address.

Instead of arriving early for my hospital appointment I was late.

Unfortunately I had to give this company 1 star by default otherwise it would be a minus by choice… I had a taxi booked days in advance of an important family event which failed to appear. I then called the company only to be met with with excuses and no hint of an apology or helpful solution. I was left with no alternative but to make alternative arrangements to get to my destination. It seemed obvious that this company were more interested in profiteering from the international rugby trade than honouring prior commitments to its local customers. Their short term profiteering will result in long term loss for them as I will definitely NOT be using this company again and have deleted their app from my phone… outrageous service and attitude to the local population who, like me, can exercise their ability to turn to their competitors ( such as Uber ) in future.. well done City Cabs… another customer lost because of your unreliability!!

I didn’t even use the taxi service but not only was denied access to my drive, the taxi driver refused to reverse in order to let me in.
I had dogs and a baby in the car and found the whole encounter extremely stressful since there was a car behind me.

The taxi driver indicated that I should reverse back the entire street in order for him to get out and drive off. Absolutely pathetic and unprofessional.

I ended up driving past him which then allowed him to move past my car but also scratch it.

Once I got out of the car, he stopped at the end of the street to shout abuse at me.

This is absolutely unacceptable!

Disgrace for a taxi driver.

Drivers are shocking blocking the road when confronted nothing but cheek literally witnessed him on dash cam after taxi 258 city cabs pull 13 illegal u turns then run a red light certainly wouldn't use them drive me about isn't the first time I've seen this either everyday with driving about city centre they think they own the road

cab booked day before to take me to train station yet at pickup time you are "still trying to find a cab". Clearly 24 hours wasn't enough notice to track one down. Don't take the booking if you can't service it. Family disturbed at 5.40 to drive me and make up for your failure. Thank you so much. No wonder Uber is booming.

12 taxis pre- ordered over a weekend for a wedding. At least four did not turn up. Shocking service.

Booked a taxi 2 hours before I needed it, waited outside at time of collection for 20 mins with no sign of taxi, tried the app to see if i could track my cab, but it wouldn’t even boot up, then called to ask what was happening, on hold for 15 mins and no real answer as to when i can expect a taxi, absolute shamble of a company that i will definitely NOT use again and would not recommend to anyone, after 45 mins i gave up and went back home, night out spoiled by a taxi.

My wife and I literally watched our prebooked taxis take other passengers. One of them, taxi "v332" even told us that it was too late and refused us service. The app doesn't work properly. Honestly, this app and the taxi drivers acted terrible when we were trying to support their business. Not again, I'm going to choose value and service.

Booked taxi well in advance for specific time. Turned up 32 minutes late.. with zero advanced warning of eta. City cabs have been unreliable since lockdown ended, in my opinion. App deleted and will not be using them again.

I ordered a taxi 8 hours in advance with wheelchair facility. A taxi responded from the wrong address. Another 2 taxis responded over over time, each one eventually not arriving, the third taxi had no wheelchair facility. The 4 taxi arrived. My person on support was 30 minutes late for a show.

Used City Cabs during our stay in Edinburgh. Efficient service from Edinburgh Airport and extremely reliable throughout our vacation.

Wouldn't let us pre book a taxi and have no taxis available at any time. Apparently no taxis in Edinburgh any time. Which is what the operator told me. Horrible service would not recommend

This relates to several recent experiences. Have booked several cabs over the last month and none of them have turned up on time. There is no notice and pre booking hours and even days in advance makes no difference. If you can avoid this firm do. They are unreliable and the booking system is a complete waste of time.

I was surprised to read the bad reviews. I downloaded the app and used City Cabs a lot during our 4 days in Edinburgh. Every driver without exception was pleasant, friendly and punctual. No complaints from me
