Not as efficient as in the past and disruptive.
The guy who did the service was ok but while he was checking the internal alarm he let it sound for absolutely ages. Considering my shop was open for business at the time this wasn’t great. Usually when the alarm is having its yearly service, the alarm sounds for a while but this time it was a lot longer. Really annoying and disruptive. Also, I discovered the man servicing the alarm exiting my toilet as I went upstairs. He didn’t ask if he could use it and I found this to be quite impolite. This isn’t a construction site. It’s my personal shop, just like my home. I did tell him as much.

Extremely expensive service charges
They are charging over £600 per year for a servicing contract but then charge again if any of their equipment fails – over £1000 this year for failed smoke detectors and replacement batteries, including an extra call-out charge because the engineer did not have the required smoke detector in his van. Their equipment seems very unreliable and the service very poor value.

Firstly, any alarm sytem being installed, must be RELIABLE. Secondly, the engineer fitting it must also be RELIABLE. Finally, the completed alarm system must be maintained twice a year or minor niggles (if they ever happen) sorted out quickly by a RELIABLE mobile engineer. The actual word RELIABLE comes from very early Greek scripts (BC)and there it spelt "RELI-CHUBB-ABLE".......say nah more!!!
