***in response to your reply* - I still haven't received the missing parts you promised you'd send on to me though, and you are yet to respond to my emails directly, you can hardly blame 3 separate mechanics for that failing, that failing is yours*** I was so excited to recieve my tricycle. I'd saved up for ages and did lots of research and thought that by buying from a UK supplier and brand I'd be guaranteed quality but I have wasted so much time and money on this product and this company, I feel like I've been swindled. It started promisingly, the tricycle was delivered to me where I live in Italy swiftly and in one piece, but it went downhill from there. First there were the 'easy and simple instructions' which were not easy to follow at all, which meant I had to pay for a mechanic to put it together, only to receive a phone call from said mechanic who told me that several important parts were missing. I contacted buytricycle who told me they'd get the parts to me ASAP so I waited, and waited... after four weeks and no delivery I contacted them again and again, but no parts came. Needing the tricycle in order to travel over 3km to work and back, I decided to buy the missing parts and kept record of the expenses. But then there were continual problems with the chain coming loose and the gears being misaligned because of the substituted parts, within a month of using it my tricycle was unrideable. I tried contacting the company and their response was to put the blame on the three different mechanics I asked to independently look at the trike, that they had assembled it incorrectly. After sending two follow up emails, I have received no response for them since. I'm more disappointed than words can say. I don't earn a lot, and had saved for a long time to buy this trike, but I might as well have burnt all that money because that's how I feel at this point. To not even pay me the courtesy of replying with a definitive solution really was the cherry on top for me. So, so disappointing. Don't buy from this company unless you're prepared to pay as much again on mechanics and the like afterwards.

Hi, I’m sorry to have to say that the aftersales is deplorable 😕 having received the trike after a considerable wait - which is more than acceptable given the current Covid-19 situation - I attempted to follow the vague instructions. I decided not to try to assemble the trike and arranged with an excellent bike shop (Little Sport Bikes in Dublin) to assemble the trike. Unfortunately there was a part missing and the pedal crank spindle and front wheel were buckled. I contacted Buytricycle four times and eventually two weeks later, got a response after 2 emails, 1 web messenger service and 1 web chat with Andrew. He informed me he would send the new parts and a discount for the inconvenience.

I received the parcel the following week and booked the trike back in with my very helpful bike-shop and loaded up the car again only to be told I was sent the wrong part. I tried contacting Buytricycle again on web messenger and email, but got no answer. This was a birthday gift for my granddaughter and I had ordered the bike in plenty of time but as I had not received all the parts, then received the wrong parts, my local bike shop were still unable to complete the assembly. I then had to source somewhere that would manufacture the missing/wrong parts and get the trike completed. Later that evening I got an email from Buytricycle asking what the issue was. I went to the trouble of (again) explaining the issues and the fact that I was told there would be a discount refunded which I never received…….. and I am still waiting almost 3 weeks for a response!!!

Thankfully, Little Sport Bikes in Dublin came to the rescue and saved the day. Thumbs down for Buytricycle aftersales service and assistance.

A lovely tricycle. And a very helpful customer service. The tricycle was unfortunately delayed. However,the company kindly offered me a goodwill gesture of a 20 percent reimbursement of the total cost for the tricycle.

Having read all the reviews including those from the 1Star Generals for some reason I keep thinking Mr Kipling and Fruit Cakes.

The very minor frustration I had evaporated like mist when I saw my trike she is beautiful and top quality for the money.

Andrew was very helpful at all times the company could not have done more during this time of shortages everywhere, just visit your supermarket for proof.

Acabo de receber e de montar o triciclo comprado a Buytricycle. Parece-me um produto de qualidade e que vale o seu preço, ainda que tenha surgido com pequenos arranhões na pintura.
Pena que a empresa não responda às questões apresentadas, deixando os clientes na dúvida quanto à seriedade comercial.
Pondero a compra do Kit elétrico para o referido triciclo, mas...

OK the end of a long saga but today recieved my free parts.
Plus I also got as a extra a free front basket, a horn and a handlebar mirror.
So BuyTricycle came good in the end.
Thank you. Now after 4months I can start riding my trike

I ordered a tricycle two weeks ago and the bike box had a female name and address, only to find out after research and checking it’s the company address. The box had distinctive smell not of a warehouse which Lingered throughout the home. It was hard to get in contact with the company , it took several attempts via email and phone before I got through to anyone.I was then told I had to send it back with the courier the bike was delivered through for a return/refund. I only received confirmation of a refund, once I had to contact them again via email to query my refund.

08/07/2021 - updated review to say that I have now received the tricycle cover but still no pot of paint but honestly I give up and cannot be bothered with this anymore. *** I ordered a tricycle as a gift for my daughter who has Autism. It was one listed as cosmetic damage but that didn't worry me as we were promised a free tin of paint plus the "free" accessories (the ones no one else seems to get either!)... She can't ride a normal bike but it was a big expense for us so naturally I looked for the best price. We received the tricycle, they forgot the back basket but did send it. But I have been emailing them for two months now regarding the paint and rain cover and I just keep getting false promise after false promise that it will be sent. I tried calling today twice but the phone goes to voicemail despite their being "open". I left a message so will update if they reply, but I have really had enough so its time for a few reviews to be left about this company. We are now stuck with a tricycle inside which we cannot chain and store outside because we have no cover as promised. Very disappointed with their lack of customer service. If this purchase had gone well, I would have recommended them to friends and family.

I'm a satisfied customer long from 2019 brought adult tricycle 24"wheelbase Scout brand for my work to carry extra stuff,its one best benefits as you stop u don't need to get down just seat comfortably have a look your mobile, drink water n move further it's nice to ride,since from my purchase my tricycle running more than thousand miles n still its colour didn't fade up except some wear n tears tyres,chain,breaks only just during this years bad weather I didn't saw throughly and missed drive side Domed nut n gradually other nut loosen n I noticed because of whobly wheel,so I contact on email of buy tricycle n got quick response saying that they r sending me couple of Domed nut at the same time I ask for disc break shoe pads n all delivered free to my home,I'm very grateful about what they care for their customers,thanks again

I love my trike! I had previously had a manual one but as I live in a town with many hills I couldn't manage it so changed it to the Scout electric. Now there are no hills. It's like someone flattened them all. It's so easy to ride once you get the hang of it. To start with I couldn't keep it in a straight line 😁. It will turn on a sixpence. I fully recommend the trike and BuyTricycle. Get one!

I really wanted to give them a better review but I must be honest, the experience has not been great. After waiting about a month for them to get stock in on adult trikes, I reached out to them on Facebook to see how much longer the wait would be. They said when they expected stock then asked what colour I was after. I said blue, and what luck, they said they had a blue trike that had some cosmetic damage, that they could sell me for £50 less, and that they'd paint the affected area and it wouldn't be visible. They said it would come with all new parts and all the accessories all the trikes come with. Seemed like a great idea, so I purchased it. When it arrived I decided I wanted to build it myself, as a fun project. After all, we have a bike stand, and are no strangers to bike repair and maintenance-- we have 5 bikes between the two of us.

First issue I encountered were the missing items. Of the big things, there was no stem for the saddle, and no rain cover. I contacted them, and they apologised and asked if I'd unpacked the smaller box. I said I had...and there was no response, no "we'll send you a stem and cover right away," nothing. So I messaged that I'd also like to buy some paint to touch up the numerous scratches and chipped paint. They replied they'd send me some free paint with the stem. So OK, cool, at least I knew they were sending the stem then.

The instruction manual is awful. It SEEMS comprehensive at first glance until you realise it doesn't actually tell you how to do anything. It is literally just a suggested order in which to do things. I think the most annoying was actually the front tire. "Attach mudguard and front tire. Ensure the directional arrow is pointing the right way."....with no indication of which way that is, is it towards the bike or away? I had to google it, like everything else to do with this trike, because the instructions are beyond vague. The "tools" provided are a joke- there was no chain tool, but we have our own so that was fine. The "wrench" tool they provide is truly, literally useless- it does not fit in the areas where it's needed. At all. Completely unusable, but again, I have my own tools. I'd make sure you do too if you plan to build it yourself. So then I got down to building and immediately discovered the chain they sent was far too short. The drive train on a trike is longer than a regular bicycle, but they sent a regular bike chain (???) I messaged them on fb and asked if they'd sent the wrong chain as it was too short. They asked me to send pictures so in the morning I did so, and sent along a video as well showing how short the chain was. I received no reply, and 24hrs later msgd again. Still no reply. So I rang them. A chap answered and after I explained the situation, said that another guy handled the social media, but after consulting with him he came back and said that he would send me a stem, some paint and a new chain, and it would be with me the next day. Still no cover apparently but whatever, I'm not too fussed about that. So that was fine and it arrived next day as promised-- which was early this morning. It was a different brand of chain, and was very slightly longer-- but still way too short. My husband was quite angry about that and rang the shop a couple times but it just went to voice mail. He left a message but no one rang back. In the end we just took a chunk off the other chain to get the right length. How on earth does a company that specifically sells trikes not send appropriate chains?? It baffles me. There are lots of missing little bits too but they are very minor things that can be sorted with a trip to our local bike shop. All in all though, the experience has not been great, and I am starting to wish I'd bought elsewhere.

Bought a bike last Christmas, and it all arrived exactly as expected, on time and as advertised. 5 Stars

I cannot recommend buytricyle.co.uk highly enough. The trike itself is beautiful. Stable and steady, unlike the shorter, narrower, heavier and vastly more expensive version from the (different) retailer I tried initially.

Can't go out on it without people commenting on how lovely it is, or literally flagging me down to ask where I got it. Thinking of having leaflets printed and demanding commission lol

And it's even better, since I got the electric conversion kit a few weeks ago, a few months after getting the pedal-only version. That, plus the 4-hours of free cycle confidence training I got via the local council means I'm doing ~20 miles of cycling every day, and loving it.

Can't ride/balance on a bike, but this is perfect and is getting me fit at the age of 50, as well as giving me freedom and the ability to avoid catching covid on public transport, which I previously used to get to work.

There were a couple of covid-related delays with the initial order last year, but they were really helpful, and have been completely prompt since.

Love it to bits. 11 stars! :)

I can honestly say this is the best company I have dealt with. The Customer Service is second to none. I ordered a Trycycle in October 2020 and it was delivered within a week. The quality and adaptability of the Trike has given me so much exercise and pleasure, the whole customer service experience has been exceptional. I would not hesitate to recommend 'Buytricycle' to my friends and family.

I was impressed by the speed of answering email questions before I ordered. Tho trike delivery was a bit later than stated due to covid restrictions, it came very quickly after confirmation email. With completely free postage to the Highlands of Scotland which is rare, it was a huge plus.The added extras of cover, pump and security chain were there as promised, as was the recompense for having to wait beyond delivery time of a light and bell but, to be honest, I will be replacing them when I can as they are not of comparable quality. Assembly was difficult with not so much help from the instructions as was indicated. Perhaps using a cycle firm to assemble the trike, would be easier and a lot faster. I find there are lots of good things about this trike: the colour appeals to this elderly woman, handlebars can be rotated towards the rider, seat lowered or heightened to suit, and a super-easy working button for gearshift up, with another lever to go down. I have been out every day since my trike arrived two weeks ago. Getting used to the feel of a trike whilst gaining more confidence each outing, has allowed me to get further from home. I absolutely love my trike.

Fantastic service. Ordered a trike late on a thursday night and it shipped to ireland arriving on Saturday. very impressed. Beautiful trike too. Strong build, sturdy and the blue is a fabulous colour. All round very happy. So is my son. Added extras a great bonus. Free cover, lock and light. Delighted.

Ordered a electric tricycle for my wife on December 9th 2020 and paid a deposit of £50 to pay balance later
We were told there may be a short delay before delivery predicted at end of January. Ingrid was Sent a Bill via email requiring the balance. This was duly paid and a delivery date was set around early February this came and went so she contacted them again and was given a parcel force tracking number supposedly for end February but hey Preston no item received by parcelforce
I have Sent the company an email on behalf of my wife today(March 3rd) asking where tricycle is and stating i may contact trading standards and seek legal advice I await a reply
Several trusting reviews are not brilliant for Buytricycle and I can see why My personal advice to any one is to avoid this company like the plague they cannot be trusted and need tuition in communication skills
It's such a pity as they seem to have good products

Awful experience. In January I have payed 300 pounds for the trike. Never received it, after my emails (the phone number is unavailable) I was informed about the "delay" and was apologized - plus informed about additional item I will receive as a compensation. When nothing had happened within another weeks - I've asked them for money refund. Then they asked me to wait a bit longer, and offered to me 10 percent discount. I have agreed (against my better judgement), and than I have received information the parcel has been sent plus tracking number. When I have emailed the shipping company, they replied me the parcel is still at the sending address (nearly a week later). I am fed up. I asked them for immediate money refund. I seriously think about reporting it.
Well, the package has come and waiting for assembly service I have noticed there is no cover I payed for...

Excellent service. Tricycle arrived two days after ordering. When contacted, a small, missing part was delivered the next day. Courteous and helpful staff.
Just had my first ride in the village and got lots of compliments about the trike. Looking forward to using it a lot as part of my exercise routine!

Update 31 Aug 2021: The cheek of this company, they've contested my review with TrustPilot, citing they believe I've never had any dealings with them! I've sent all the relevant printscreens to TrustPilot, inclusive of the reference of my complaint to Trading Standards. I hope TrustPilot are clever enough not to fall for their schemes, where they contest true complaints which show them up for what they are. And to quote the email from Trustpilot:

I ordered a tricycle on the 28th Aug 2020, with an expected delivery date a month later, between 20-30 Sep 2020.
On the 30th October, I rang them, and they said I'd receive it a week later, but alas, it did not arrive.
On the 19th October I rang them several times and left a message, with no reply.
On the 21st October I rang them, and they told me the colour I'd picked was no longer available, and that I could pick another colour.
I sent them an email enquiring which colours would be available for immediate delivery, with no reply.
I then received an email on the 27th October, stating my order had been cancelled and reimbursing me partially.
I have raised a complaint to Trading Standards, and have asked them to be reimbursed in full.
They're rogue traders, don't waste your time!

Update on 10 Nov 2020: I've been reimbursed in full, and I advised the company I'd raised the matter to Trading Standards. Their reply just took the mickey, they clearly have been getting away with this for a while!
However, I did some digging and found them selling on Ebay and on Amazon, all under different names. I added this information to my complaint to Trading Standards. It seems their other names are known already, at least 5x.
I've also alerted Trading Standards that nowhere on my invoice did they have their actual registered company name or number.
I'm so glad I managed to get my money reimbursed in full, but I'm annoyed that they've been such time wasters.
