I had a bit of a scare when it came to delivery timelines that were very promptly and professionally addressed by Elle - showing exceptional customer service.

Great quality, our first delivery had a small problem with it, but it was rectified immediately and fantastic customer service from Catherine who ensured we received the replacement item in plenty of time for the start of term. Thank you!

Once I finally figured out how to speak to a human (not easy), I received an email response from Cindy, who was so kind and helpful. She resolved my issue immediately.

Had a very positive experience using Brigade customer service, I made 3 orders due to extra items needed and the inability to combine orders. When the jumpers came in measuring smaller than anticipated I mentioned this to Cindy who arranged a free return and exchange in record time for my son’s first day of school next week!

I recently had a problem with an order and was helped by the customer service team - in particular Elle - who was friendly, helpful and very responsive. Five stars for the customer service team.
More generally, I regularly buy school uniform from Brigade Clothing as one of two stockists for my children's school.
The uniform is as described. The website experience is fine.
There is always a delivery and returns cost regardless of spend with long lead times for standard delivery so you have to order well in advance and be prepared to pay extra if you need to change anything.

The items seem good quality and I'm happy with them. However when you order as a parent the company is not interested in dealing with you as the customer at all, won't respond to queries and leaves you in the dark about order delivery timescales. I completely understand that for school specific items the company needs a certain number of orders before it is sensible to do a print run, but there needs to be more communication with the customer buying the item about when they receive it. It's no use waiting five weeks only for the item to be dispatched the day you go on a two week holiday, with no way of having the item delayed, held or to collect it instead.

In fact when you try to contact the company their phone line doesn't accept incoming calls from a mobile number (to stop customers contacting them), their online chat is restricted to a chatbot only (to stop customers contacting them) and their FAQs just say no to everything.

It's noticeable how many of the 5 star reviews relate to resolving something once a problem has occured, suggests lots of problems occur.

Excellent customer service! I received the wrong item but only realised 4 weeks later as I hadn’t opened the package. Elle was excellent at sorting my return and getting the correct item to me. Emails were very quickly responded to!

Ordering via Brigade was simple and straightforward. Although an item was out of stock, Cindy was really helpful and took great care to ensure I understood my options with prompt responses and helpful suggestions. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the stock issue and the sizes running small, but that does not reflect the customer service which is 5 Star.

I ordered my sons uniform late for the start of Yr 7 at secondary school. I contacted Brigade via email, and Vickie Moore the Production manager was really helpful. Her responses were quick and she managed to track my order and sent it out next day delivery so my son would not have to start school without the uniform. Really great customer service. thank you!

I wanted to take the time to leave this review specifically to recognise Elle, who was absolutely fantastic in helping me resolve a very stressful situation.

A parcel containing my son’s school uniform had unfortunately gone missing with the courier just days before he was due to start school. Understandably, I was extremely worried as there wasn’t much time left to find a solution.

From the moment Elle got involved, she went above and beyond. She personally chased the courier, understood the urgency of the situation and, rather than simply telling me to wait for an investigation, took action and arranged for a replacement blazer to be dispatched via Next Day delivery.

The replacement arrived safely and exactly when we needed it, meaning my son had his blazer ready for school.

What really stood out to me was that Elle took ownership of the situation. She kept me informed, listened to my concerns and genuinely seemed to care about getting the problem resolved. That level of personal attention is something you don’t always experience with customer service.

Although the original delivery issue was completely outside Brigade’s control, Elle’s response to it was exceptional. She turned what could have been an extremely stressful experience into one where I actually felt looked after as a customer.

Brigade should be extremely proud to have someone like Elle representing the company.

Five stars without hesitation.

Confusing sizing. Following their instructions, we got smth which would probably be perfect for 5'4 tall teenager. Ours is unfortunately 6'4. I did actually go size up, based on his chest measurement, but that's clearly not enough to get long enough sleeves.
So now we have to spend delivery AND returns costs and still have no suitable uniform piece.
Also, please modernize your returns process!

We thought our grandsons uniform would still fit him for the start of term but we were wrong
He shot up in size and missed the deadline for orders to be received before the start of school
Placed a order and sent email to the sales team to see if there was anything they could do.
Well within minutes I received a reply and Catherine from customer service has fast tracked our order, absolutely amazing can't thank her enough.

Great experience with Brigade Clothing. I ordered my son's uniform from them. The courier delivered the parcel while we were on holiday, left it at front door and disappeared. When I contacted them they were very prompt an professional, they sent me another one right away. Highly recommended.
