Best Online Holidays secured us two very good hotels for our holiday in Athens and Santorini. Both were located in very strategic positions where it was easy to access other facilities in the area. The ambience and cleanliness of both hotels were amazing and we looked forward to the breakfast which was served by friendly and very cheerful staff. I particularly like the Hotel Porto-Persissa in Santorini which was a family run business. It was quaint and very very pretty with a four poster bed and a wardrobe that seemed to be straight out of the Chronicles of Narnia. It was fabulous!

In April I booked a city break to krakow with best online holidays, when booking the 4 night break, the call operator was polite well spoken convinced me to upgrade, I also booked transfers to and from the airport. So that my disabled wife would not face problems on arrival in a country we’d not been to before.
On 2nd June 2025, on arrival at krakow, after clearing immigration, we saw many people with name boards, but no one with our name. After looking around and searching we exited the building and called the transfer company HOPPA, arranged by best online holidays on 00441483 802408 at least 5 times over 1hour. First call, I was told the driver was late and will be there in 5 minutes, on the last call, I was told by their operator Mr Lowkush, that he was unable to contact the driver and to get a taxi. I had pre-paid £80 for 2 journeys, for journeys which by UBER would showed up at approximately £16 each way. (Way over priced at £40, what I had paid).
As for the accommodation, we found the sheets had cigarette burns and the cushions/ bedding was burnt and or torn. I’ve still to learn to add photos to my reviews.
This was changed on request on day 3 by domestic services at the hotel. When I complained to HOPPA they sent me a screen-shots of text messages and phone calls claiming to be made to my phone and never received by me. One screenshot at 20:20hrs, our flight arrived at 20:25 we took about 15 minutes to clear immigration, and another screen shot at 23:36hrs. I still ask, why couldn’t the HOPPA operator contact the driver?It would seem that the driver got another fare thinking he would make it back in time but failed to. This company record their calls, I also learned to record calls and intend to pass them on to my credit card issuer.

Eva was able to help me on the short phone call I made, regarding the email address needed for my booking.

Customer service need to have some training not very helpful and sometimes they can be bit rude.

Communication with the company was efficient and helpful, there was flexibility and effort put into finding flights at suitable times. Dania was very helpful when we needed assistance with ensuring that we had a room upgrade, and kept us properly informed with emails of confirmation.

I saw the holiday on TravelZoo and we decided to go - Tobin was very helpful and told us what was needed and that he would send through the details. Today I spoke to Linda Frances who made sure we were still on the phone to ensure that I had the details. She was charming and helpful and asked me to call back if there were any problems - she also gave me another run down of the holiday. It would be good to have the tickets and boarding passes send through a week before.

The attention to detail and proactive approach of Eva Pedro was truly remarkable. She went above and beyond to ensure my issue was resolved. Truly exceptional service. From start to finish she was very friendly, efficient, and genuinely caring. A rare find! I guess she should get some kind of pay rise or an incentive.

Eva Pedro was helpful when I phoned from Malta regarding return boarding passes..
The hotel 'Conifer' has offered a good service with food, cleanliness. There has been several school parties which can be a little noisy but they are happy and respectful. Although the hotel is convenient for public transport and local bars, it's a built up area with views of other residencies.
The hotel guide sold us a hopper bus package, but the buses are very slow, finish about 5pm and the public buses are more direct to destinations.
Often the last hopper bus back is full and we've had to use a 'Bolt' Car.
