Purchase scammers - beware

Unfortunately I’ve had a similar experience to others regarding this company agreeing to buy a vehicle only to send some scruffy guy who obviously came with a practiced patter of faults and trying to cheat you of your vehicle for a lower price than agreed, they tried to identify a fault that was only relevant on previous models that didn’t apply to mine and is not an issue, they will reply to this with we only buy exacting standard cars which is just company blah to keep their reputation - notice how complaints from buyers usually get a response that ‘well it’s x years old it won’t be perfect’ - but honestly I’ve just felt like they tried to scam me, I would 100% avoid engaging this company regarding a car sale. Very slow to respond to emails and give the impression they’re too big to care, literally wasted two weeks of my time.

Every vehicle we purchase must meet our exacting standards, as we have a responsibility to protect future customers and uphold the quality on which our reputation is built. In this particular case your Range Rover has a broken wing mirror, cracked entertainment screen, and broken centre console cover. Unfortunately, we are unable to proceed with vehicles that are not accurately represented in the original description, as these would require professional rectification prior to resale to meet our standards.

There was, of course, no obligation to accept the revised valuation based on the vehicle’s actual condition. When this was declined, the vehicle was left with you as requested. Although withdrawing from a purchase is never in our interest — particularly given the significant logistical costs involved — we must ensure that every vehicle we acquire meets the standards expected of us.

We wish you every success with your sale elsewhere and thank you for your feedback. Should you ever consider purchasing a vehicle from us in the future, we hope you would appreciate the care and diligence we apply when sourcing our inventory.

Collected my GT4 at the weekend and couldn't be happier with the service. Anthony was very helpful with the sale of the car and Dan was great at handover, he couldn't do enough to help us. Would defiantly buy of them again.

From the first phone call with Chris I knew I was in safe hands when buying my next car.
Nothing was too much trouble and advised on which vehicle would be best suited to me.
I will be 100% returning for my next purchase.

Simon and Adam- the dynamic duo!

We visited originally just to explore and see a car we liked - Simon was super knowledgeable and friendly and explained how we were able to trade in our car way earlier than we thought. He took time to provide a number on quotes that suited out budget and sorted out my settlement with my finance provider. He made us feel comfortable and confident enough to go ahead with the sale.
A week later we returned and met Adam to test drive our car, he was super friendly and chatty and spoke us through finalising our paperwork and we drove away a stunning new car.

Really easy, friendly and amazing experience from start to finish and we are so so glad we found auto 100 and met with Simon and Adam.

Very professional on phone when you get to speak to right person in charge recovery of your car what a complete unprofessional outfit

Right let me have a rant very very impressive website and stock,After agreeing to sell my car to this company after communication wise very hard who to know who runs which dept,I greed to sell my car to them agreed on line price via extensive photos.After you get x 2 very unprofessional guys show up in a Vw Toureg with a trailer on the back so starts rubbing my pride a joy down before asking with a microfibre towel as it was raining who is to know if that towel wasn’t full of foreign debris,anyway this company has one hell of impressive stock so need to say 20 k sale or 1 million treat yourcustomers the same after viewing my car made out there was a fault with the intermediate screen ie had a a small chip at the bottom really,Anyway I had a day of work to meet theses guys to sell my car to them what a total waste of time all they do is hyped my hopes at time of auction to purchase my car with no intention of purchasing the auction price and believe me I am really petrol head and my cars are exceptional,From dealing with Alxandra to Tim to George total waste of my time Hey might have 40 million pound in cars in stock don’t mean a bean if you ain’t treated with due respect!!!! ,

First class experience.

Auto100 amazing experience

I live 30 minutes from the shop and never knew I had this that's close. Most of the deal has been managed by phone and email with Ryan, which did a remarkable job, very attentive and attentionate to my request. When have been for seeing the car, I've been welcomed by Dan, who was as good and nice as Ryan. Dan has been really helpful and show me everything you want to see with an used car. Then as I was satisfied,he did all the paper work is a real short time to allow me to leave with the car. Everything Dan can do to help me has been made. I really thank him a lot

Happy buyer

A great experience buying our new car from Auto100. Our initial contact was with Anthony who helpfully gave us all the information needed about the vehicle & agreed a part ex figure.
Special thanks to Lewis who today handled the handover of the car. Lewis went above & beyond dealing with all paperwork, including personal reg change. Thanks Lewis for your help in demonstrating the necessary controls, setting Satnav etc before we set off for home.

Beware Auto 100 !!!!

Sold my vehicle to Auto 100. They requested all the rev relevant documents which were supplied to them as quickly as they asked for them. Had tried to make contact,emails were not returned. Phone calls weren’t returned and when I did have course to ring up again, they were extremely rude and unprofessional. I then received a text message telling me that there will be somebody coming to pick my car up the following day and I’ve still had no communication from auto 100 about collecting my vehicle. I then get a distressing phone call from one of my children telling me there two men looking around my car on outside and then I get a text message saying that they’re there to come to pick the vehicle up,still no communication from Auto 100. They then found a problem which I know was not there before and then told me they have to knock down on price!!!

Poor representatives who attended to…

Poor representatives who attended to purchase my car. Turned up looking messy and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Very unprofessional and tried to dishonesty value the car. I over heard them talking about their technique to challenge car valuation. Good luck to anyone buying off them

Untrustworthy company

Untrustworthy company. Do not be taken in with their family moto. My son purchased a Jaguar from auto 100.
We also purchased an extra years warranty through them. After a couple of months the car started to develop serious issues, the car went into a main dealer for inspection & it was found that the timing belt needed to be replaced. The engine would have to be removed at a cost of £8000. On inspection my son was informed that auto 100 would have known about this. The car had only done just over 2000 miles since it was purchased. My son dealt with Tom a H R apprentice. Auto 100 didn't want to help in any way. Plus the extra warranty purchased was not fit for purpose. Both Auto 100 & the warranty blamed each other. On further investigation the warranty/ company is not accredited the motor ombudsman. So it was difficult to pursue this matter further.
It's these kind of car showrooms that give the car industry such a bad name. Please read all the 1% reviews AS THERE ARE SO MANY before purchasing any vehicles from this outfit as you will have no comeback.

We completely understand how frustrating it is when a vehicle develops an unexpected fault, and we truly wish that no car ever experienced mechanical issues. Unfortunately, with used vehicles — particularly as yours was approaching eight years of age — certain components are subject to natural wear over time, regardless of mileage.

The warranty your son purchased was administered by an independent third-party provider, and their decision to decline the claim was based on the issue falling outside the warranty parameters. While this decision was not made by Auto100 we did not simply dismiss your concerns.

As a gesture of goodwill, and despite the repair falling outside of warranty coverage, we contributed financially towards the repair costs to help bring the matter to a conclusion.

We regret that the outcome has not met your expectations, but we strongly refute any suggestion that we acted without integrity or failed to engage once the issue arose. We made every effort to communicate openly and to assist within the constraints involved.

Auto100 is a family-run business, and how we support customers — even when situations are complex and outcomes aren’t ideal — matters greatly to us. We wish you all the best moving forward.
