I bought a Range Rover Sport back in February that was my dream car and I was so excited to drive away.
As soon as I got the car home having driven it down the motorway and once it has gotten dirt on it, I noticed a dint in the rear bumper which I have since had to have fixed at my own expense.
I also then tried to connect my phone to the car using the Apple/Android auto feature as I didn't want to be spending time doing this on the forecourt and thought I'd better wait until I got home to try all the features. I wish I had, because it doesn't work at all. I've taken this to a garage and was without the car for 2 days. The garage had to investigate the problem, replace USB ports and the problem still isn't fixed, and to top it off, I was told by Phantom that they wouldn't cover this anyway and referred me to the warranty. Conveninetly, the warranty also doesn't cover this problem. I'm now left with a 'luxury' car that I can't even connect my mobile phone to.
I've found the whole experience really disheartening and the dream car I thought I'd bought has just left me with an expensive and seemingly difficult to fix problem... I was to and fro with emails and calls and I just feel that Phantom have washed their hands of this, despite this problem clearly already existing when they sold me the car. I wish it was just fit for purpose.
Don't bother buying from here, they won't be interested once they have your money!
Bought my new car from phantom motors and had great service from start finish. Gary dealt with me initially and Longin assisted me when I came and collected my car. There was a small issue with the finance as it came back higher than initially quoted however this is out of the car deal ships hands, but Gary helped me to change the deal and get the price down and align with my budget. My car was immaculate when I came to collect both serviced and mot’d. I even got a bottle of Prosecco which was lovely touch! Thank you phantom motors I’ll definitely recommend you. 5 stars

Phantom started so well, sale was easy through Matt, but once I had paid communication kind of dropped off a cliff.
My Macan GTS arrived and only 4 days later multiple system failure, gearbox failure, I spend over 30 mins broke down in the middle of the road, manage to get the car moving and back home eventually.
Emailed and called Phantom, no reply.
Spoke to Matt and he told me aftercare finished at 4:30pm so no one could help (even tho my email was before then) advised to wait till Monday, confirmed with Matt that this is unacceptable as a resolution as I am now stuck with a car that is not fit to drive on the weekend, agreed that Matt emails me with a summary of what we spoke about and his sales manager calls me before end of play Saturday 18th April (today), of course, no one called me back.
Waited till Monday and received an email from the aftercare team
(I’m sorry to learn that you’re having issues with your car shortly after purchase, I have contacted A1 to assist you in getting your car seen at a local garage for diagnostic and estimate for the repair.
Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any further queries and we will be happy to assist.)
Basically got palmed off to the extended warranty I bought on top of the car, even tho this issue should of clearly been the responsibility of the dealership to fix...
Found out with warranty that diagnostic fees I have to pay, and they cap labor at £50+Vat an hour, emailed back multiple times as this should be fixed by the dealer, no reply, mentioned Consumer Rights Act 2015, still, no reply.
In the end I just paid out of pocket myself, rather than have a useless broken car on my drive.
Phantom will be your best friend right up until you part with your money, then want nothing to do with you, car was lovely, till it wasn't!

If i could give this company -1 I would.
I bought a BMW m2 competition on the 5th march 2026 from these cowboys.
It all started I lost the rear spoiler traveling home from picking the car up. This happened on the M6 motor way unfortunately it hit another vehical travelling behind me fortunately no damage was caused. Obviously I reported this to Dylan one of the sale guys which I turn said he would get me a replacement 7 weeks on im still waiting. After numerous times of trying to contact him, nothing was working so I contacted the aftersales even then I was promised another, they fobbed me off for weeks saying they couldnt find another carbon spoiler so I gave them a number of suppliers for them to contact only after I threatened them with court action they offered me 2 options which I declined and these are the reasons why.
1. The speedometer stopped working which I reported to A1 warranty they told me they cant cover the cost as a new cluster is £2000 and the warranty only covers £1000.
2. I noticed black/blue smoke coming from the exhaust when pulling up at lights. This could be a number of things including, turbo seals, faulty pcv valve or valve stem oil seal.
3. Indicators only work when they want to. I have been doing some investigation its a common fault they require a new earthing wiring loom.
4. Heavily grooved rear discs which are also below minimum thickness.
5. With regards to the speedometer not working ive had an independent garage take a look he said the clocks have been out once before as the screws holding the clocks in were missing? This has now set alarm bells ringing as now im thinking is this the true mileage of the vehicle? I am yet to confirm this via an OBD scanner this will tell me the true reading of the mileage through the ECU/TCU.
6. Now ive noticed a knock coming from the rear diff.
They also have hidden costs £300 admin fee something I wasn't told about when signing for the car.
They are all very nice and very communative when buying the car but once something goes wrong they don't want to know and fob you off with every excuse.
Even when you trade your vehical in the do an inspection on the car on the day you a scheduled to pick the new car up. Coming up with all sorts of faults that dont exist another way of getting money out of you.
Just be very careful people and dont believe a word they say ad its all BS.

Attended the garage, which was by appointment only, and from the moment I arrived, I was impressed. There were plenty of high-end cars on display, but even though my purchase was nowhere near that price bracket, I was still made to feel just as special.
I dealt with Jack, who was extremely pleasant and informative throughout the process. We found out at handover that I was his first customer—he hadn’t been with the company long—but you honestly wouldn’t have guessed it. He did a brilliant job and made the whole experience a pleasure.
The entire team were friendly and welcoming, with special thanks to Ian, who was so kind and even handed out a couple of freebies, which was a lovely touch.
A genuine 5-star experience from start to finish—would definitely recommend! Oh, and my new Mini Cooper is amazing!!

Totally left it to my decision. He was honest about my part ex over the phone and gave me the price offered at the outset, even though a couple of minor defects.
Would definitely use Phantom Motor Company again and ask for Amir for starters.

To be totaly honest i was blown away by the vehicles they had on sale and felt comfortable purchasing for cash. The salesman jack who i dealt with (the real phantom) was very knowledgeable. After the vehicle was delivered to my house (driven/joyrided) not trailered as i expected within 1 hour was huffing steam out of the engine. This required over 1 month of repairs as it needed a new water pump, timing belt/chain (not sure exactly which one as no recipt was given also new oil cooler, rocker cover, rocker cover gasket. I give a 5 star review to the mechanics as they did actually sort the problem and cannot thank them enough but for the after sales department and also the sales department i hale a massive 0. Still after, sorry i have lost count of the months i have not even recived my v5. The sales team are impossible to reach after purchase and the after sales team are no better. I would strongly advise do not be drawn in by the stock they sell as they have seriously cut their nose off with me. On you own peril buy from this dealership but if you have any common sence, try getting in toutch with the sales person/aftersales first. I for sure will not spend my hard earned money here ever again, they are complete cowboys. Absolutely discusted by the level of profesionalism considering how they big themselves up. Phantom, if you wish to be in buisiness in 2 years from now i advice you pluck uo your ideas and hire some propper staff. You have a great stock of cars but the lack of ability after purchase is simply pathetic.

AVOID THIS COMPANY - Bad experience here , my mum ( 70 years old ) purchased a car from them April 2026, on collection of the car she was told the repair of an alloy wheel hadn’t been completed but “take the car and bring it back” bearing in mind its a 2 hour round trip ! Thankfully she refused and after chasing a week later, the wheel was fixed and she was told to collect , after making the trip again she was called by the garage to say collection wasn’t possible due to an engine light failure , she was already 5 mins away from the garage ! she was told they would deliver the car to her on the Tuesday - this was after the Easter bank holiday weekend ..and this didn’t happen… there was no call made to her to arrange delivery even though she had paid a years insurance upfront with her insurer and the car in full ! and after chasing for a week and leaving messages with colleagues there where no calls returned to her, in the end she cancelled the car as alarm bells started to ring , she requested a refund of 12k , yes she got the refund within the 5 days timeframe , but there seems to be the same themes from other reviews I’ve read .. your calls go unanswered / customer service is non existent / and there seems to be no assistance or assurances from them to provide any meaningful quality of care for their customers. Funny thing is this company will see my reply and go and do their quick copy & paste reply , like the rest of the negative comments I’ve seen. On review of their feedback there seems to be NO REAL GENUINE CONCERN for unhappy customers. Surely everyone can’t have the same issues who leave a negative review ? lots of common themes and red flags noted !
Lovely Flashy showroom they have with great stock but a complete let down of service ! they have been described as cowboys and I would have to agree ! Avoid unless your happy to be treated like an idiot ! The way they work you would think they don’t want to sell cars all the chasing the customer has to do! Ironically she brought a car from a dealer round the corner from them, and described it as a “completely different level of experience”, looking back now it was a blessing in disguise for us ! But Phantom cars you really should take note of the bad comments we are all real people you may learn a thing or too if you take the comments onboard .. as the saying goes “the customer is always right 👏🏽”

Very disappointing after-sales experience. The car developed faults within a few months, and resolving the issue has been stressful and time-consuming. Promises made during the sale were not fulfilled, especially regarding warranty coverage. Overall, not a trustworthy experience and I wouldn’t buy from them again.

Absolutely disappointing experience. The car I purchased had issues almost immediately, and the so-called “warranty” didn’t cover most of the problems. I ended up paying out of pocket for repairs, which defeats the whole purpose of buying from a dealer. Communication after the sale was poor, and getting support was frustrating. Would not recommend.

Query was dealt with promptly by Amir,deal done and car sorted and delivered within a week even after having to put on x4 Pzeros new brake pads all round and get it serviced cannot fault the sales process .

This is the worst buying experience ever and I have purchased many cars over the years! Phantom have a very sneaky trick to under value your used P/X they give you a valuation before checking your car which you may be happy with then when you go to collect your newly purchased car from them they take your car in for it to be inspected by their tech and they totally nail your car for faults which are mostly fabricated to try and knock the original valuation down in my case they even stole my locking wheel nut to reduce the valuation! so insist they appraise your car before you move forward with theirs!
They advertised my car with 2 keys but when I came to collect it they said they couldnt find it and would send it to me in the next few days, 2-4 for weeks passed and still no key so kept calling the salesman Kamren then aftersales , then Chad the manager who all gave me a pack of lies and BS! they stopped answering my emails and phone calls in the end I had to go back to the finance company to get the funds released for a new one!
Make a note of the cars mileage when you place a deposit as they put an extra 837 miles on mine from point of deposit to collection and then refused to pay compensation for the extra miles!
Break pad lights came on from second day of ownership which makes a mockery out of their multipoint checks, they also gave me the runaround to get them replaced!
Month 5 and now the rear differential is leaking oil which they are now refusing to repair even though they are obligated by the consumer rights act 2015 so I have now gone back to finance company to investigate as they are breaking the law!
These guys are a bunch of cowboys and I advise anyone to NOT buy from here! once they have your money its game over they will ignore all communication and lie through their teeth to try and save money! If you value your time and sanity save yourself the hassle and headache and steer clear from these cowboys! They also do not replace parts with like for like genuine parts they just get after market cheap tat no matter how expensive your car is!

Husband and I went to look at an Audi TT, driving 2hrs and both of us taking a day off work. £500 deposit paid to reserve the vehicle and told this was refundable should we not purchase the car. Luckily for us we did not purchase. Here is the unprofessional experience received: Chelsea possibly spent 15/20 minutes with us the entire hour and half we were there and was back and forth apologising that she was with another client. This was despite us having an appointment My husband checked the vehicle and is retired mechanic and the oil was black and hadn’t been changed and said at this time “I don’t have a good feeling about this”.Husband sat in car to listen to engine and I noticed the tiptronic paddle on the right hand side of the steering wheel was completely missing as if broken/snapped off. When mentioned to Chelsea she stated, “oh right, well if you decide to have the car obviously it will be fixed prior to collection”After we test drove the car on return Chelsea was still not available, and we were ushered to an office to wait.12:15 by now Chelsea returned and advised the person who was to value my car for trade in was at lunch and suggested we go home and she would email or phone me with a valuation later! I stated we would prefer to wait. Half hour later Chelsea returned offering £1000. I half heartedly agreed but came away feeling uneasy. Once home on reflection we decided to cancel the trade in altogether. Tried ringing and left messages advising we wished to cancel it with no response or return call. After a sleepless night the next morning I voiced concerns to my husband who felt the same and he suggested I ring them to cancel the sale. Rang numerous times with no response and messages left and finally spoke to Chelsea who advised I could cancel trade in. I then told her I wanted to cancel the sale altogether, and explained why. Her tone changed completely. I requested my refundable deposit and was advised it would clear in 5 working days. Chased this after 5 days elapsed as not received. Went through every department for a response (accounts, after sales, finance) and finally got a response in sales, surprise surprise! Chelsea confirmed it had been processed and would be further 2 days. This has now been received but I feel I have got off very lightly on reading other reviews. They have some amazing expensive vehicles and I came away feeling that if I was spending £160,000 on a car it would have been a different experience altogether. Please do not buy a car here. I have now purchased an Audi TT elsewhere and had a completely different sales experience with them, just brilliant, and on hearing my previous bad experience said, “was it Phantom Motor Company”. The people I finally purchased a car from aren’t even in Wigan and it seems PMC appalling reputation is nationwide in the motor trade business. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE

Picked up the wife’s F23 M240i today, 15.5hrs door to door, had only a couple of minor issues which were swiftly sorted, car as described, everything explained clearly and Amir was amazing, he was clearly v busy but he still looked after me. Gino had picked me up from the station, thankyou Sir! (we also share the same barber)! A first class outfit, highly recommended, will be back, cheers all.
