Tv does not come on. Unplug it and plug it back in then it comes on. Vizio customer service is awful and will not purchase another Vizio product ever

My Vizio Smartcast tv is a total…
My Vizio Smartcast tv is a total disappointment. It is less than one year old and I constantly have to reboot it. Now I have a constant message on the screen “SmartCast is loading. We”lol be right back”. Nothing that YouTube recommended helps. I contacted customer service and they wanted a credit card number before I even chatted with them online. WORST BRAND EVER!
Vizio tv is not worth the frustration
Vizio tv is not worth the frustration
1. Purchased at Walmart in Dec 22, Prime video app will not work. Even Amazon cant figure it out
2 continuely have to unplug and basically reboot on a daily basis
3. Constant error messages saying I’m not connected to internet which is incorrect
4. Even with appropriate internet speeds the buffering and delays are annoying
Don’t waste your money on this brand
VIZIO TV IS AN INFERIOR PRODUCT
The network connection started to go...connection to Smartcast became impossible. Now also noticing a delay response with the remote. Too bad...COSTCO sold me this and usually they carry quality...this is not a quality t.v. AVOID!
Do NOT buy a Vizio TV
Bought a VIZIO M65Q7 TV and after just 18 months it's turned into a brick. VIZIO customer service has you call a tech service and it's almost hilarious. Nobody monitors the voicemail box but they lie and the message says they will return calls within one business day. Try a week+ and counting. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing is fake. PLEASE do yourself a favor and avoid VIZIO like the plague. Lousy quality and even worse customer service. Costco should do themselves a favor and stop carrying this garbage.
Worthless warranty
We bought the vizio 24 inch a year ago and now it has lines and abstract colors on the screen it won't do anything else. We called our warranty and they sent us to vizio which vizo said we broke it and they won't cover it. The tv is in excellent condition on outside. We did not do anything to this tv. The vizio customer service is the worst ever. How do you tell a customer that they know you broke the tv , we are dumbfounded with vizio. Vizio is a awful tv and the company will not stand by the warrant or admit that their tv's are cheap. Don't buy vizio.
Bought a new 75" M series TV and the…
Bought a new 75" M series TV and the remote doesn't work correctly. Tried all the "canned" solutions to no avail. Contacted Vizio through website, described issue in detail including remote model number. Been 3 days now and not a peep out of Vizio. It's a shame how these companies treat the end user these days! It's only a $12 remote on Walmart and Amazon.com, but it's the principal.
2/24/23 OK, Today I just received a replacement remote! I never got an email that they even acknowledged my issue, which is why I posted my initial review. So I am satisfied with Vizio thusfar!
TV is worse and worse with every software update
My P75QX-H1 just gets worse and worse every time a software update installs.
VRR and low latency mode have been broken since launch, but now they forcibly enable both features with no way to disable it. VRR causes overshoot and flickering, and low latency mode causes the screen to freeze when launching fullscreen apps.
Since the last update black levels are so elevated in HDR10 content It's almost as if the TV doesn't have local dimming anymore.
Wouldn't buy again
Wouldn't buy again - tv randomly won't work even when batteries in remote are brand new. Tv will also turn on in the middle of the night after you've turned it off 2+ times. I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. They make crappy tvs.
I've had this tv for about 3 years and I hate it.
I had to give it a star
I had to give it a star. I bought a Vizio TV with a sound bar. Sound bar never worked with the TV they said it needed a firmware update. I waited for same. Then they extended my warranty. In the meantime, I moved my TV and the part that holds the front and back together came off in my hands and of course I dropped the TV and then no picture. Now they say the extended warranty is no longer valid even though the sound bar still doesn't work. They're products may have been good at one time but no longer. So now I have a useless soundbar and a piece of garbage TV
Don't lift or move the TV to clean/dust…
Don't lift or move the TV to clean/dust under it the cheap ass stands that support the TV, they fall right out and don't lock in place (guess that cost too much) anyway I moved the tv back 2 inches where one of the legs fell out and the TV fell back against the wall, a total of 3 inches at the most, picked the cheesy leg off the floor put the plastic leg back in its insertion slot and powered the TV up the screen now is all jumbled and shows a crack ? Are you friggin' kidding me ? (just from that ? Maybe we need to buy an otter boxes now for the Vizio Branded items)
Bad quality, bad manufacturing, bad components, just really bad, do yourself a favor and read all the other reviews, 9 out 10 are bad ! I should have read them before purchasing.
Junk Vizio
Purchased a Vizio TV in March of 2022. TV failed in November 2022 after a software update. TV is now DOA with a "blinking" power light. After about 1/2 an hour of diagnostic over the phone with a Vizio rep, it was deemed to be needing replaced. Vizio then requested a credit card from me to send me a 'Refurbished" TV. According to their own Warranty, a refurbished TV no longer has a factory warranty. Why can't they just sent me a shipping label to return the damaged TV under factory warranty, fix it & then return it back to me?
Vizio refuses to refund purchase price of a TV junk out of the box
TV had issues right out of the box being as I bought it for my grandchildren the minor glitch I noticed didn't seem to be an issue unfortunately I was wrong one of my grandkids 10 years old hit the watch plus free Vizio button on the remote this locked the TV into the watch free plus Vizio owned streaming service there is no possible way to get out of this service the TV software is so screwed up it locks you in you can move the cursor to try to get out on the input screen but it kicks right back to watch plus free you can't get into the menu you can pull the plug and hold the power button for 20 seconds doesn't help it still goes right back to the watch plus free making it a Vizio streaming service only monitor not a TV Vizio refuses to refund will only replace it with the same piece of junk that I already have that I don't want Walmart refuses to take it back saying it's Vizio's problem and Vizio doesn't want to refund it why would I ever want another one of these junk TVs after going through 3 days of hell with Vizio's supposed customer service department as well as Walmart's useless customer service department as well as the stores customer service desk refusing to take it back I had the sales receipt all the original paperwork but not the Box so I'm stuck with $150 piece of Vizio garbage run people don't buy this piece of junk save yourself hours and hours of anguish and screaming and crying grandkids cuz their TV doesn't work right out of the box I rate Vizio is below garbage TV was purchased September 23rd of this year a month in useless
VIZI TV SUCKS AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. We bought a tv for mom and it went busted after a couple of years. I called to ask for help and they said it is not economical for them to fix the tv. So it is not economical for them!!! how about my mom?? Is it economical for a retiree in her eighties to buy a new tv after 3 years. Terrible quality product. Nothing to be compared to any well known brand and the support sucks. Save your money and buy a good tv from a good company that cares about their product and their customers.
Terrible product and service
Bought a Vizio 70 inch ultra tv 1/2/2021. Have had numerous problems (tv sound wouldn’t change, sound was distorted, changing inputs would turn the tv off, and some other issues). Now my screen is going out, 1.5 years after purchase. The first rep I talked to said get the receipt and they will take care of it. I asked to confirm this before getting off the chat (I live an hour away from Best Buy and couldn’t get my receipt online). I’ve now wasted hours getting the receipt to be told it is out of warranty when they have my purchase date from the start. Their recommendation: buy another tv. Terrible company, DO NOT BUY A VIZIO
Buy nice, or buy twice
I bought into the Vizio environment. I have their P-Series Quantum TV and Surround Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos Wireless Subwoofer.
I heavily research products I'm going to spend a bunch of money on and ended up purchasing these.
I did not regret my purchase. For the price point, both products are phenomenal. The tv's picture quality is amazing and the dolby atmos is crazy.
I started having problems with the HDMI ARC not registering any signal, and having to hard reset every time I had the issue. It wasn't often and didn't bother me. Until it started happening more frequently, and now I have to hard reset the soundbar almost every time. The tv has gotten super laggy (i.e. when navigating menus; selecting things; loading apps) and I've factory reset it multiple times. You cannot install or uninstall apps, so I can't uninstall anything I haven't been using.
I wanted to like this company so bad. I contacted customer service about the soundbar crapping out and not receiving input and having to hard reset.
She asked if it was in the window of its 1 year warranty, and of course it isn't. The soundbar is just shy of being 2 years old.
She said since it isn't under warranty, there wasn't anything she could do.
The near $600 5.1.2 Channel Home Theater Surround Sound System, with Dolby Atmos broke in under 2 years, and they can't do anything for me?
I'm pretty butthurt, but swearing at the customer service rep isn't going to do me any good.
So I'm here, warning you reader, if you decide to spend your hard earned money on Vizio, get the damn extended warranty.
The products are amazing at that price point, but they aren't going to last. Buy nice, or buy twice.
To Vizio, I know this doesn't hurt your giant corporation in any way, but you've lost me forever. I hope I can say that for anyone who reads this review.
Got vizio TVs and 5.1 surround sound…
Got vizio TVs and 5.1 surround sound that all work well. I even have a Vizio TV from 7 or 8 years ago in my kid's playroom that still works as well as the day I bought it. Good value and well made to last.
They were sued for selling YOUR tv…
They were sued for selling YOUR tv viewing habits without you knowing about it! We made the mistake of buying two (a 65" and a 55") and both of them were glitchy as hell. You hit the remote and it takes like 3 - 5 minutes for the tv to turn on. You try to change channels or switch to streaming and by the time it changes.
While these TVs look good in the store…
While these TVs look good in the store and have a reasonable (seemingly) price I bought a nice 70” Vizio model, nice eh? Within a few months I started having problems, no problem right, I have a year warranty. Call support, they use the script method of support, every person is given a list of basic things to do; reboot reset your tv and others. The very basics that do fix the problem for a week maybe. They aren’t interested in actually helping you, no; their aim is to bluff you past the 1 year and not actually fix the problem so they are off the hook; nothing was ever actually fixed! Nobody ever actually looked at the tv. I am lucky in that I am a computer tech so I just got fed up with their crap and fixed it myself. This is possible because a smart tv is a computer with a very nice screen, nothing more! I spent $1k and got a tv that starting going bad within months, absolutely no helpful support and had to buy the parts (new boards) and fix it myself. If you want that experience buy a Vizio!
I have bought a Vizio TV and it has…
I have bought a Vizio TV and it has been of great quality. I have not had any problem installing it and connecting it to my pc since everything was very easy
FALSE ADVERTISING!
I purchased a 65 inch Vizio P Series TV (model P65Q9-H1) last December for the specific reason that I had also just purchased a PlayStation 5. Upon purchasing the PS5, I wanted to buy a TV that is going to support the next generation graphics. So I specifically set out looking for a 4K TV with an HDMI 2.1 port that is 120hz.
I decided to buy this TV as it has 4 HDMI ports in total. HDMI 1 and 2 are standard 2.0 ports that only support 60hz. HDMI 3 and 4 are the next generation 2.1 ports that are 120hz primarily used for the next-gen gaming consoles.
This TV is falsely advertised on both Vizio’s and Best Buy’s websites. To be clear, my complaint is against Vizio, not Best Buy. I did purchase the TV at Best Buy, however, the information, specs, verbiage, etc., that goes on Best Buy’s website is all supplied by Vizio for their products that Best Buy sells.
This TV is clearly advertised as a 120hz TV on both websites. The 120hz does not work with my PS5, and in the rare occasion that it does, it is only a matter of time before issues occur with a white scrambled image as shown in the attached photo.
There are numerous complaints and negative reviews towards Vizio regarding this issue on Vizio’s, Best Buy’s, and numerous other websites. They are fully aware of the situation and have even posted topics regarding the issue on the FAQ page of their website.
Their solution is for customers to use HDMI 1 or 2 which are only 60hz ports. I didn’t purchase a 60hz TV. I purchased a 120hz TV. If I wanted to play my PS5 in 60hz, then I would have either kept my previous TV or bought one for half the price that I spent on this one.
Vizio has been aware of this issue for as long as I have owned this TV, if not longer, due to the floodgates of complaints that they have received even prior to my purchase. The question I have is why are they still advertising this as a 120hz TV if it clearly does not work in 120hz? Is it just maybe because they want to continue to mislead the public in thinking that they are buying a 120hz TV so they can make more sales?
I have called and spoke to numerous supervisors in their corporate office over the past 7 months. I keep being told that they will be pushing out a firmware update to resolve the problem. I have been dealing with this for 7 months and my patience is wearing thin. They can’t push out a firmware update to fix this issue but they can push out new TVs for 2021? Makes a whole lot of sense, doesn’t it?
In my communication with their corporate office, I had requested to be upgraded to the 2021 equivalent of last year’s version of my same model TV. The P Series Quantum X (model P65QX-H1) at no additional expense to me. They refused to do it.
I’ve read some reviews on it and noticed that some people have reported not having any issues with the 120hz not working for them. I don’t think I am being unreasonable for requesting this considering all of the hours I have spent on the phone with their support team troubleshooting the issue.
Instead, they offered to refund my money. I don’t want a refund, I want a resolution to the issue. I purchased this TV during the holidays when it was on sale. For me to accept a refund would mean that I would have to spend several hundred dollars more to buy a TV now when they are not on sale in order to get a TV that supports these specs.
My recommendation is to avoid Vizio at all costs. Their customer service is the worst. Instead of working with the customer, they will false advertise and mislead you into buying their products. Since they refuse to work with me on this issue, I am not only posting this review here, but on every other review site as well.
