Awful!!

Awful!!! Tv shuts off frequently and makes me sign in each and every time that takes around 10 minutes. I tried connecting my ps5 to it and the tv just shuts off nonstop. Worst tv experience I have ever had and I would rather use a tv from the dollar store than purchase another tv from Vizio.

Terrible service.

If I could give less than a star, in fact if I could give negative stars I sure would because this company and its outsourced customer service is beyond awful. I bought a new 65 inch TV. Unboxed it and it did not have any screws for the legs stand. I called Vizio to figure out the size and after speaking with an incomprehensible AI I was transfered to a customer service rep who, barely audible or intelligible told me a size of the screw and it was available at any hardware store. I searched and found no screw matching what he told me. Made a guess and when those did not work I called back and another customer service rep gave me a different size and then backtracked when I questioned why the other guy gave me a different size. He then put me on hold searched Walmart and directed me to go to their site and search for doorbell security camera screws. Weird I thought I bought a TV. The Walmart in my town doesn't have them in stock so my only option is to order those and wait 10 days. Ten days to use a Smart TV because of 4 screws. I asked him to just send me 4 screws and he said they couldn't do that. I didn't choose violence so I hung up and wrote this review as a catharsis for me and a warning for whomever reads this.

Bought 2 40" Vizio tv's for extra…

Bought 2 40" Vizio tv's for extra bedrooms... they were not expensive and on sale at Christmas time. 1 of the tv's went dead black screen after using it 2 times, was over 90 days to the crap company Sams Club would not take it back nor exchange it. Went to Vizio directly, they agreed to replace my new tv for a refurbished tv... didn't think that was fair but the only option so I went along. Had to put a credit card down as a deposit for them to send out the replacement, again thought this was odd but went along. Replacement tv came and straight out of the box (after being forced again to register online and go through a bunch of updates before I could use the tv) there is a big blemish in the screen, a black stop right in the middle at the top 2" x 2". So wasted more time calling them, and the entire process starts again. They still wont send me a new tv, and had to give my credit card again to get the replacement that will have to be registered, and old one returned again. HORRIBLE.

Worst buy in years

Worst buy in years. Best to toss it and be more careful in purchasing from a trusted manufacturer. Total control freaks created this mess. Trying to force you to play their game. Vizio wants way too much private info. Even controlling ads as an overlay when trying to watch something on Roku. Ads butt in and refuse to let you continue watching until you say OK , then it becomes a real can of worms. My advice to you is Do Not Buy Vizio.,

Vizio won't stand by their products.

Purchased a Vizio M213ad-k8 soundbar in 2023. Unit was great, when it worked. Less than 6 months later the unit started powering off at random. Contacted customer support, they blamed my TV, told me to buy a new HDMI cable, and walked me through updating the firmware on the unit. This resolved the issue for a couple months, and then it returned. Contacted Vizio support again, they walked me through a factory reset. This resolved the issue for another couple months, then after it was outside the warranty period, the unit completely died and will not power back on. Vizio support now says it's outside the warranty period and will not stand by their product even though the power issue had been reported multiple times during the Warranty period.

The warranty service is terrible

The warranty service is terrible. I've been there for more than 2 months to have my 40 TV changed. They cancel my service order, they open it again, on one occasion they ask me for a credit card for a hold in what they send me the TV and guess the next day they cancel me! The information they give you is incomplete. Today I called again and they tell me that it is awaiting approval! I don't think I'll ever buy a damn TV from this company again in my life

VIZIO TVs

Update: Allstate/Trade Square has reconsidered my claim and is replacing it with an 2024 Onn 50" model TV. While I appreciate the replacement, I am worried that it's a 2024 model. It's supposed to be a new TV, but why do they have 18 months old TVs in stock? Also, since they are replacing the TV, my protection plan is now closed.

The USB port on my 50" Vizio TV became loose. I purchased it thru Walmart and a Protection Plan. The warranty is for one year, that is why I purchased the Protection Plan. The Protection plan considers this physical damage and will not honor the plan. The TV has been in the same space for the entire time since purchased. Consider other TV manufacturers instead. Truly a rip-"off.

I have a vizio TV and I will never under any circumstances purchase another anything with this brand name on it again,,I have to unplug my TV every 2 hours or the sound quits and I can't change channels adjust volume nothing and my TV is only a few months old,,it's my second vizio TV and they both are screw ups ,, never again

TV wouldn't even get past the initial update. Went to Walmart and bought a Vizio by mistake, I was after a TCL and just completely brain farted. I mixed up their logos SOMEHOW. Got it home, got the remote out, then realized WHAT, this isn't a TCL Remote! looked at the box realized it's Vizio! No big deal I will use it if it works! Thank God it didn't get past the initial update, or I probably would have used it past the return date, and been stuck with this vizio trash. It froze after the initial update! Take it back to Walmart get a TCL. IT ZOOMS past the initial update in 10 seconds, immediately gives me the option to continue setup. I continue setting a couple things up, the TV then downloads another update that takes another 10 secs BOOM. I'm watching TV.

​"Do not waste your money on this Vizio D-Series. Not only is the hardware subpar, but the support experience is a complete waste of time.

​The Product Failures:
​Hardwired to be Slow: This 'Smart' TV is intentionally designed without 5GHz WiFi support. In a world of high-speed mesh networks, this TV is a bottleneck that constantly buffers because it can only see 2.4GHz bands.

​Broken Tuner: It can't even handle basic Over-the-Air (OTA) antenna signals without freezing and displaying a 'spinning red circle' that requires a full restart.

​The Support Experience:
Vizio support is an absolute joke. The agent insulted my technical intelligence, suggesting I 'entered the wrong WiFi info' before forcing me through a factory reset. I lost all my app logins and programming—a huge hassle—only for the agent to admit at the very end that the TV is designed without 5GHz capability.
​Save yourself the headache and the 'insult to your intelligence'—buy a brand that actually respects its customers and uses modern hardware

Low Quality TVs, No Customer Service

Despite the positive reviews that they pay for (on ad-based websites, not Trustpilot), their products have a very short shelf life. When they stop working or develop lines, and you contact customer service because your product is under warranty, and you'd like it fixed or replaced, they will deny any responsibility for their poor product.

Our TV sat on our shelf for about a year. We use it three or four times a week when hanging out with friends. It hasn't been mishandled, it hasn't been on for long durations. Yet it developed faded color lines in the middle of the screen. It was under warranty but the "customer service" refused to try and help us or solve the problem apart from "Have you tried unplugging it for a bit and plugging it back in? Oh, you have. Well, then you broke it somehow."

Never buy this company's products. They make a garbage product, and they know it, and will do everything they can to not take responsibility.

If anyone ever starts a class action lawsuit, I'll happily join in.

This tv is the worst!!DO NOT BUY

This tv is the worst!!! It’s stuck on Home Screen connection error. Though my app works fine. This morning it made me merge w Walmart and allow them all these rights. I’ve restarted it 100 times, yes internet connection is good. The remote on my phone works fine, it will turn tv off and on. In settings: software N/A, last update: Dec. 31st, 1969, 7:00pm

Broken TV, Won’t replace in Warranty, Repair has yet to take place

Terrible customer service after the company sold to Walmart. Got a TV that randomly will not turn on. Multiple calls to customer service to get it fixed, lots of time & info required to qualify, they will not replace within warranty - only offer to repair through third party service that has yet to reach out to me after multiple calls from my end… a month later still no TV. I ask if we can just replace at this point & I will return but they say no, can only start a new ticket again (for more down time & I assume the same result). My time off from work while repair takes place is worth more than fixing the TV at this point. Not to mention the software now features unskippable ads and it will automatically switch you to their Vizio input and run ads instead of allowing the TV to remain on another input of choice. After supporting for over 10 years I will never buy another Vizio again, save yourself the headaches

One of the worst companies I've ever…

One of the worst companies I've ever purchased from. They offer a really poor 1 year warranty on their products. My TV's display stopped working only after 2 years, and Vizio support was completely uninterested in helping. In hindsight, saving a few dollars to buy a budget-brand TV was a poor decision. Save your time and headache, and pick any other brand to buy your TV. The panels are unreliable and will fail. One of the worst purchases I've ever made, will never buy a Vizio product again.

VIZIO sucks big time

Unfortunately, with VIZIO, I purchased this as a gift in 2024 for my nieces. They didn't use it 10 days ago. I opened this box brand new and now unit after five days of working won't I have spent endless hours trying to fix finally got through to representative and they're telling me sorry warranty is out. We can't fix anything. This is the worst company customer service I've ever heard. I love the product, but this company is absolutely the biggest douche of all companies if you can't stand behind a brand new box regardless of two years ago when you bought it for a Christmas present that tells me this company sucks and I will never purchase it again.
