0 stars is more appropriate for this absolute abomination of a company. They have been contacting me for 6 months over a recent water bill dept for a property I have not lived in for 2 1/2 years!!!! I have sent them all proof of this through tenancy agreements and they are still contacting me over someone else's water dept. I am at my wits end with them now they need sueing and closing down for harrasment.

These people are awful bullies dont…

These people are awful bullies dont take no for an answer told them I won't pay more than the agreed amount but they want more they are a horrible company and the way they speak to customers is appalling threats to remove payment plans if you dont do what they say

Definitely Parasites. Possibly criminals?

After refusing to pay my water bill for two years due to the continued criminal activities of southern water. The debt got handed to these clowns. They're actually the third debt collection company southern water have used to intimidate me. Imagine working for a company that Actively supports criminal corruption and the destruction of our own local environments! I'm happy enough to play their games for now. Hopefully they will start sending people to the house and I can get some decent content out of it for YouTube. They don't appear to be able really actually do anything without me sharing personal information. So that obviously won't happen. Also all the responses in here from them seem to be asking for personal information. Seems very very fishy to me.

Used by unethical utilities companies to harass vulnerable people

Constantly harassing, over an amount I owe to the water company I am still a customer with. So it was out of order for them to refer me to debt collectors to begin with, especially since water bills are not classed as a priority debt as it is illegal to cut someone off for not being able to pay it. Prioritising water bills over other priority debts can even cause serious problems if trying to get help from a council's discretionary fund or from debt help charities. At no point do the water companies or UKSL mention this. Which is completely unethical of course.

Furthermore I paid off over half the debt and above the amount UK search were chasing, which has been acknowledged by the water company in question and reflected on my account and yet UKSL are still attempting to bother me. I say attempting as I blocked them and they can only leave increasingly desperate voicemails. So they are chasing a now non-existent debt.

Con artists trying to scam for debts that don't exist

Received a call several weeks ago followed by a letter today stating that we owed over £800 for a water bill and were instructed by Affinity Business. This company no longer exists and was absorbed into Castle Water. Contacted Castle Water who confirmed that the debt that they were demanding was paid in 2020!! and that they had NOT contacted UK Search. When speaking with the company, they didn't have any information and claimed that they had sent bills and then in the next sentence said that they needed to contact Affinity Business!! - bit hard when they don't exist. I have suggested the handler seek employment with a company that doesn't spend their days trying to scam people out of their own money! DO NOT HAND ANY MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE - go direct to your supplier.

Just received a letter from these scammers saying money is owed on Affinity Water from our business account, our water bills have been on direct debit for years so wont even waste my breath replying. Reported to Action Fraud.

This debt recovery company buys the…

This debt recovery company buys the debs that nobody else wants. This is normally due to them being unlawful or mistakes. They then use bully tactics and false information to try and squeeze money out of people.
They flat out lie on the phone and try lots of underhanded tricks to deceive the people they are scamming.
Let’s face it nobody likes debt companies but these guys really do give the industry a bad name. What’s worse is than once you speak truth to them you quickly realise that the people running the company really are thick as two bricks.

Had a second email from this company…

Had a second email from this company this morning demanding payment for unpaid business water rates. Our property was a residential property - we moved out 4 years ago & only in the last week 2 emails received.

Check with the original company

I received an email saying I owed them money from a water company I haven’t been supplied by for five years.
I contacted the company directly and they confirmed there is no outstanding balance on my account.

An Appalling behaviour of your employees

It's unacceptable for a company to treat its customers with such disrespect and aggression, especially when they've been wrongly billed due to the company's own errors. Customers deserve courtesy, empathy, and fair treatment.

The behavior of the young employees, particularly the rude and threatening tone, is appalling. It's clear that the company needs to prioritize comprehensive training for its staff, focusing on:

1. Customer service skills
2. Conflict resolution
3. Empathy and understanding
4. Effective communication

The fact that operators hung up on you without addressing your request for an itemised account is a serious issue. Companies should strive to provide transparent and detailed billing information.

We have every right to demand better treatment and to request a thorough review of our cases.

I suggest you escalate my complaint to the company's senior management and request a formal investigation into the behaviour of their staff.

Additionally, consider sharing your experience on public review platforms to help others and encourage the company to improve its customer service standards.

I have paid off my debt for some time…

I have paid off my debt for some time now, but I wanted to leave a review.

In my opinion, everything was handled well. I was able to arrange payments in monthly installments after informing them that I couldn't pay the full amount upfront. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and made sure I was comfortable with the monthly payment amount. Additionally, I received regular reminders about my upcoming payments, which was very helpful.

I didn't encounter any issues with the company at all. I was initially worried about the TrustPilot rating, but the company proved to be genuine. I also had a positive experience with customer service; they were quick to respond when I requested to pay in installments.

Constant Letters & Emails for a £3000 Debt of a Property I Moved Out of 20 Years Ago !!!

In the last couple of months, I've been contacted by this company, chasing a debt on behalf of SESW for £3000... for a property I sold 20 years ago !!! The account was settled in full at the time.
I have informed them of this, but received this reply:

"To enable our client to amend the account accordingly, please can you provide evidence such as a check out report, closing council tax bill showing the date you vacated?

Alternatively, please can you provide evidence such as a tenancy agreement or council tax bills showing where you were residing from December 2005 to 31/03/2025 so that we can raise a query with our client? "

Do they really expect me to have paperwork from 20 years ago !!! Why is it my responsibility to provide evidence given the circumstances. I suffer from depression & do not have the energy or capacity to deal with this company's ongoing harassment.

I'm referring SESW conduct to the CCW, & advised UK Search Ltd of this. If they continue to harass me, I shall raise a complaint with there governing body.

Company continue to harass after being…

Company continue to harass after being told several times the details they keep giving for the ‘ supposed debt ‘ doesn’t match and is incorrect they continue to
After reading the reviews it very much appears they just pressure you with threats to make payments even though they’ve got it wrong !!
There may be a debt but it isn’t mine ! But they continue to call emails and tell me further action will be taken ! Shambles

I’d advise anyone who’s been contacted by them to do there research and contact your solicitors if unsure ! They can’t continue to send the wrong debt to the wrong people .

Bully tactics and threats .

Was told i owed £159 to SES. Rung to find out what months i missed, so I could cross check with my bank .
Was told its between 2013 and 2025 !
What !!!! lol lol lol lol

Spoke to SES , no payments missed.

Without prejudice this company is a disgrace

Without prejudice I received a debt collecting letter from this company stating I owed £1490.04 to EON NEXT
I have never owed anyone any money. It was the first time I had received any correspondence regarding this matter. It took months of me researching, phoning and emailing to prove the debt was not mine and never had been. It made me so ill. I have proved this Company was at fault and they will not accept any responsibility. It is shocking that UK Search Ltd can get away with it. Some people would be that frightened that they would have paid it.
