Excellent, my turf delivery came on time and the driver was very helpful. No complaints. The turf was excellent quality, very green, and not dry like the one I purchased from B and Q.

I used turfonline rather than a local supplier, as for the turf we wanted they were coming up nearly 20% cheaper. I was dubious about buying this sort of product online, but the reviews were generally pretty good.
I paid for the earlier deliver (guaranteed before 2pm), as turf should be laid on day of delivery.
This is outside of their control, to a degree, but the delivery did not arrive until 2.15, and by the time the driver had unloaded the two pallets, it was 2.45.
I found this quite frustrating, but it is a reflection of the delivery company - perhaps TurfOnline should find a new courier.
We had just under 80sqM of turn to lay, so really wanted to get going as early as possible.

Quality of the turf was fine - we are 2 weeks into having laid it and it looks healthy and there are very few patches. Watered it for 2-3 hours a day for the first week, then the good old British weather has taken care of the watering for the second week.

I would recommend this company, but would go local if I could match the price and guarantee earlier delivery.

Great turf and customer service was good.

I had to change my delivery date at short notice as it took me longer to get ready than I thought, and this was done with no problem from turf online which I really appreciated.

Now the turf has been down for two weeks it looks amazing. Deep green, lush and has taken root really well. Would definitely use again / recommend. My neighbour was also the beneficiary of my generous measurements, looks good in his garden as well.

I am saddened to say that I have had to resort to social media as I feel like the customer service I have received during my purchases with Harrowden Turf Ltd has been appalling.

On the 26th of April I decided to make an order of top soil and new turf to lay in my house.

I had deliberately paid for an extra service (fast delivery and early morning delivery) for both my orders as I had a tight schedule I had to keep too.

I had ordered my tonne bag of top soil to be delivered between 8am and 12pm on Thursday the 29th of April- this would give me and my work men I had hired a day to lay it down in my garden- ready for the turf to be delivered on Friday the 30th of April.

I was working on the Thursday (I am a teacher and do not check my phone whilst at work), to finish at 5pm, I realised that I had missed calls and messages from my builders, explaining that no delivery had been made and that they were waiting at the house all day for.

Once I had finished work I tried to call Harrowden Turf but unfortunately they stopped working then.

On Friday the 30th of April morning, I called the offices again and explained the problem, the woman I spoke to had no idea what was going on and quite frankly had no remorse whatsoever and said she would get someone to call me back.

4 hours later I still received no call so I called again on my lunch break. To be told again by the same lady she would get some to call me.

About half an hour later I received a call, which whom I can only guess was the manager, he had explained it had been a mess up in their end and the tonne bag was “lost”. He said that he could have the topsoil delivered on Tuesday, but what I would have to do is unroll each and every bit of turf and water it until then. I explained that that was ludicrous and that I didn’t have time to unfold over 40 rolls of turf individually and water them until Tuesday. I also explained that the mistake was not from my end and that I shouldn’t have to go above and beyond to rectify THIER mistake.

The manger understood and apologised and we came to an agreement that I would have new topsoil delivered on Tuesday the 4th of May and that NEW turf would be delivered on the 5th of May.

The manger then went on to ask if he could leave the old turf on our drive until the Tuesday. I explained that it was not possible as we needed our drive for deliveries coming over the weekend and that it was the upmost importance that it was either taken today (30th April) or on the Saturday (1st May) at the latest.

He said that he would most definitely have it picked up before the Saturday.

Well we are now on the 4th of May and we still have our OLD top soil on our drive and pavement, restricting access to our drive which we made sure to explain was not what we wanted. We have had to re arrange deliveries with people that had already planned to deliver other materials ( stones for the drive and the garden) over the weekend, which has now out us in a bad working relationship with our suppliers as we were all on a tight schedule.

We also had to pay our workmen on Thursday for waiting for the delivery that never came - that was £100 our do our pockets.

I have been emailing the company all weekend and this morning made a call to their customer service line, which then I was greeted (when I say greeted I don’t mean in a pleasant way either) by a lady that quite frankly did not want to help me, instead I had terrible sarcastic remarks and rude nature towards a CUSTOMER that has ever right to be dissatisfied.

I asked the lady that I would like compensation for our troubles as we never knew that ordering soil from their company would make us pay out -

1. £100 to our workers because of their mistake

2. £60 delivery payment we made for our products to be delivered at a certain day and time, for which none of this had been done

3. A tested working relationship with other suppliers whom stuck to schedule, because this company can’t keep to a schedule them selves

Her reply was that she could issue me a refund and that was all, when I tried to explain to her I was not happy with this outcome and that I wanted to speak to a manager she became rude and even started smirking at me.

Overall I have had the worst experience with this company, working in my past job roles in retail and services, I have never once spoke to someone or even thought of speaking to someone in this manner and hope that no one has to receive this level of customer service from them either!

I am still waiting to hear back from a manger to discuss further , nearly 1.5 hours from when I last called and were told I would have an manager call me back ASAP......

I received my turf three weeks ago and laid it down watered it immediately, after reading a lot of negative reviews on here after the purchase I was very anxious about receiving my turf! However, when the turf arrived it was fresh every roll was green and exactly how I wanted it. The only thing I would fault with it now that it has established a bit is that there's quite a lot of weeds in it which I will deal with later once it has established. Overall my experience is it is good. Laid late March 2021

I ordered 45 square meters of turf from this company a couple of weeks back as they were about £100 cheaper than the likes of Wickes (incidentally Wickes just put their prices up from £5 PSM to £7 PSM....quite an inflation jump! wish I had that pay rise this year).
It was only after ordering that I bothered checking reviews etc, after I did I must admit they had me worried.
Was not expecting much on Friday when the delivery came to be honest due to dodgy reviews on here and other sites.
Well, long story short I was blown away! The turf was absolutely perfect.
Once it was laid, it was like carpet! I ordered extra as I would always expect a dodgy patch or ten when buying turf from anywhere, but they were all bang-on! Had about 10 rolls left at the end and my neighbour was pretty chuffed with the freebies.
I know I only put in down on Friday (today is Monday) but if it doesn't grow well, I'm sure it will be down to me not preparing the surface well or laying any top soil (I just used what was already in the garden).
Cannot recommend these guys enough.
I know what it's like reading these reviews, you always wonder if the good ones are a mate or employee of the director or company, or if there was some kind of incentive for me to write this.
I can promise you there isn't in my case whatsoever...I was/am so happy with the service and product I have received, I felt I should reward them in this small way.

Try to avoid!!
They sent me a faulty product (top soil with lots of impurities) and never came back to me (after sending them several emails to ask them what we can do about the problem). Very unprofessional and annoying behaviour and worst costumer service ever.

The product itself was good, despite 5 damaged rolls of turf. Delivery was on time but the driver was simply rude. He refused to put the pallet on our garden and left the entire pallet in the road. He walked away saying, my name's Andre if you want to make a complaint. He should not be in a customer facing role with such a callous attitude. The company has been let down by an employee with a very poor attitude.

My experience with this company is ashamble. They sent me yellow dying turf and some parts of it was already dead turf, although they stated it was cut the day before. They told me that it was the hottest day of the year and to follow their guidelines. I was very reluctant but I was already committed to laying the turf, so I followed there advice. This is something I should not have done. They did not offer to replace the defective turf, I spent money on their rye gold turf, which when revealed, it looked like budget turf dead and dying, despite laying and watering it immediately. I even sent them pictures and they stated that it would be okay in a week or two. Who buys dead and dying turf ?. If I had seen this in a shop, I would of walk right past it.

If you’re reading this review, don’t buy Any turf online without seeing it first.

Go to a garden centre, wickes, B&Q or anyone that will happily show you what your buying before you make a purchase. Not some stupid photograph that is probably edited and photoshopped to show Immaculate green turf.

Please learn from my experience and don’t get caught out like I did. Don’t let any company take advantage of you and your money. There’s no evidence here that this company has looked after my interest. Where’s the moral to help their customers ?. We are in a global pandemic and we as customers are being treated like this.

Please be careful.

I am now pursuing a legal case as I did not receive what was advertised despite the weather conditions. Poor excuse.

Decided to leave a review here as it doesn't look like they use Trustpilot and there are only bad reviews on here so I thought I'd balance it out. I had a very tired old garden which I spent a lot of time clearing and preparing for a new lawn. There are so many online turf suppliers that I struggled to make a choice but I phoned Turfonline to ask a few questions and they were really friendly and helpful compared to some other companies (most which didn't answer the phone). Also turfonline (Harrowden) came #1 in a Which report in Sep 2019 which convinced me to go with them and I haven't been disappointed. The delivery arrived bang on time and every section of turf (Jubilee) was uniform thickness and had lush green grass, no weeds and no stones. I also ordered some pre-turfing fertiliser and 6 days on (with a little help from a few rainy days) the lawn is thriving and looks really healthy. I would definitely recommend.

Ordered some Sedum blankets.
They do look good but was short due to some off them being slightly shorter and one mat that was at the bottom of the delivery being unusable.
I rang to order a few more, happy to pay just to get them so I can finish the job but was told I needed to pay for the pallet which doubled the cost.

They sent me died turf, because it was a live product I laid them and watered of hoping they may save the grass but unfortunately, it didn't. Now I am fighting for a refund. Very disappointed with this purchase.

I left a fairly indifferent 3-star review on one of their products via their website (which is somewhat generous, considering the turf had broken glass in it). The review never showed on their site, so they've clearly decided to not approve it. Instead, the product is filled with 4-5 star reviews. I wonder how many negative reviews have been binned.

Anyway, that's how you turn a 3 star review into 1 star review.

Dealt with this company trading as Harrowden Turf and would not recommend them at all. I placed an order and it arrived completely destroyed - customer service refused to replace or refund as the order had been signed for. The outer packaging of the order was intact but inside obliterated - which obviously i could not tell until I opened the package. Dreadful experience, poor quality items and customer service.
