I am extremely disappointed with The…
I am extremely disappointed with The Mortgage Works and the way they handled my mortgage application.
The whole process took far longer than it should have, with constant delays and very poor communication. I felt like I was being led on for weeks, wasting my time while getting little to no meaningful updates. The experience was frustrating from start to finish and caused unnecessary stress.
I expected a much more professional and efficient service. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.
I would not recommend The Mortgage Works to anyone based on my experience.

Less than 1 star Sent a BACS overpayment of £7500 29/7/26 Showed in my mortgage account account on 31/7/26 When checked again on 3/8/26 it had gone Same today 4/8/26 Where is my £7500
Checked Nat West payment was from cleared funds no issues with Nat West And not back in my bank account either Where is it?! Worried sick

Getting a Buy-to-Let mortgage
I spoke to two people. The first to discuss my eligibility for a mortgage product that I found online and then the second being the consultant later on that day. Both were clear, succinct and patient with me while I wrapped my head around the different options and points to consider. Would highly recommend this lender, based on my experiences. I had a much more personal and clear process with The Mortgage Works than when previously dealing with other lenders.
